Drip.. drip.. drip..

the sound of blood hitting the cold metal floor.

"Must you always carry one of those?" Inquired vikan prixus, lord of the 123rd.

"Must you always wear that fetid cloak, yes?" Apothecary Gane replied.

They stood on the observation mezzanine, on the bridge of the long shadow, the ship of Prixus, a pair of immense doors behind them opened.

"It appears your brother has escorted our guest to us"

Through the doors, a warrior with jet skin and jade armour strode, flanked by a blood drenched warrior, recognisable as an apothecary thanks only to his narthecium, and his badges of office.

"What is it you want?" Demanded Ha'dar, captain of the salamanders.

"Temper, temper" tittered Gane

"Firstly" began Prixus " you are only still alive because Ezekyle petitioned me to spare you. Secondly, you are also still alive because you are useful to me, now if you please, mind your tongue or Gane will happily remove it"

The salamander bristled, but said nothing. In an extremely rare moment between a salamander and a Night Lord, Ezekyle Notreve, tank commander of the shattered dreams Sicaran, bonded over the modifications Ezekyle had made to his vehicle. It was at this memory, that Ha'dar was only once grateful to have befriended a Night Lord.

"No more to say? Excellent. Now it appears my techmarine came to an unfortunate end on the battlefield, so I need you to finish what he started. Gane, escort him to the engineerium"

"Oh must I, such tasks are a bore" whinged Gane

"Not you, your brother, fool" Growled Prixus.

"Yes my liege" said the second apothecary.

  • 2 weeks later...

So work has been a nightmare and finding 10 minutes for hobby has been a challenge. However magnets arrived, and have been painfully slowly magnetising my tank. Also this little lot turned up today (courtesy of my landlord running back from the pub to get it from his shop for me) 3 ideas in the pipeline so far with these beauts: Librarian Yaga the "Cannibal Wytch", Fo'lin'tah master of assaults, an fo'or'tay the "twisted soul". The 3rd had a run in with some kakophony and liked his weapon. So eyes peeled brothers and sisters, plus if you don't see your name pop up yet, soon my children, I have dreams for you all *evil laughter, echoing out, screen fades to black*

Yeah, I have been considering changing the paint job on the cloak. The fetid look isnt punchy enough at the moment.

I don't actually own a flashlight, if I manipulate the lamp on my modelling desk perhaps.. ah yes *renewed evil laughter*

Oh cool any idea as to what your going to do with it? I was going to suggest two ideas 1 like a spectral looks maybe a bright green between the faces and fading to white on the raised details of the faces.

Or have it dripping blood and more or less the hole cape covered in gore, so it's almost like a holo projection be a great fear indusing weapon. But they may be a bit Out for what you wanted ;P *flicks the light switch on and off* "Muhoohahaha!" *bang as the bulb blows* "DAD!"

Try this: basecoat with Bugmans's Glow, Highlight Elf Flesh (equivalent), the mix a tiny dab of Dark brown with a tiny dab of Red Gore with a teaspooon of Lahmian Medium and wash the cloak with the mixzture. Looks quite gory. Check out some of the banners and trophies on my showcase log for examples.

@ jaspcat seriously bro thankyou, just trying to reach the lofty standards my fellow night lords/ all the wip'ers/ lorenzens horrifically messy paint desk have set.

@daemonclaw the mk. II legs weren't that bad to cut, which did help me continue on with the mad quest to make him. And fo'lins head was formerly from the space wolf set, i was concerned he was looking a smidge too wolfy still :p

So another little pain fuelled session, up first fo'or'tay, had a falling out with a kakophoni. He won. And of course it would have been ruee not to steal the weapon and modify it!

next is Khat, he developed a torture technique called "the blood angel" ;)

All still very much wip, plenty to be done here

Cutting the blood eagle eh? Nice!

May I ask - do you favour milliput over green stuff for practical or financial reasons? I like green stuff more for fine detail, but milliput can be sanded. However you seem to be quite fond of milliput for fine detail too.

I favour milliput due to hobby(theft)craft being up the road from me and it seems to last a lot longer than greenstuff for approximately the same cost, and is alot easier to work. In all honesty I think its better. And as for the blood eagle, blame ragnar lothbrok and vikings :p
