Personally I am not including a majority of the horned, bat, or spikey helmets for that very reason. Although my Warlord is using the talon possessed backpack. I have to thank deadspace for that mess. Then I edge pure deep blue. xxoblivionxx33 Posted January 12, 2015 Share Posted January 12, 2015 So the Skin was very simple. First I based in rakarth flesh. A ton of thin layers. Its very important here to get a nice even smooth coat. Then I used druchi violet wash in a 2 to 1 with lahmian medium. I did a very like all over glaze of just the face. Then when I saw the detail I lined the recesses. I then reclaimed the high features with rakarth. Just one light coat and then a 2 to 1 of rakarth and white on only the points I wanted to pop. And then I did a 1 to 1 of rakarth and white . on just the peak points of those details. And then a 2 to 1 of nuln oil and lahmian medium in the eye cavety to give it that deep dark look. helterskelter Posted January 13, 2015 Share Posted January 13, 2015 Ladies and germs of the night, would it be incomprehensible if we were to compile a series labelled "a beginners guide to night lords" we have so many members, with so many different techniques in various areas it would be rude not to share. Most of it is probably cross board stuff, but let me waffle further: for example one post could be a flint tute on her ability to do shiny faces ala the scary thalax or her highlighting. Another could be Augustus showing a how to conversion on another new beastie and so on. I'm aware we all have our own WIP's and the odd share on here, but i think our little community would benefit from a centralised gallery of creativity, akin to what we have here for our generic discussions. What say you my fellow killers? Maybe put into one living tutorial thread: How to create the Perfect Murder. I will have better lit photographs uploaded in the next 5 minutes, due to the lateness of the photographs they were lit up too well giving them a brighter than they are look. The skin is mainly Cadian Flesh tone as they will be my current victims fluff wise and more graphic trophies of them to come in the future. Thanks for the kind words! Okay for a Short this is actually very cool it introduces a few cool things and sets up the Primarchless/1st Captainless Night Lords interaction which of course is now very standard and alot less organised. So if you want grump Night Lords, Interaction between two very different Night Lord Blood Brothers and a peak at possibly the next action the NL take in the HH id recommend it. For those wanting a breakdown spoiler: Reveal hidden contents A Safe And Shadowed Place by Guy Haley We start on board the Ship Umber Prince of Skraivok the Painted Count. Left floating in a blind spot in the Ultramar systems borders his ship is crippled after the Dark Angels attack. Skraivok is left by two remaining ships 3 days before his ship should be able to limp away. He mentions wondering what happened to Lord Curze (maybe a precurser). After more banter with a Slave about needing the ship to fixed we experience a Light Pulse or Beacon nicknamed the Sotha Anomaly. Skraivok then says they must get ready to leave and to steal any slaves they can from the dead ships so they can refill their ranks. He also wants to know where Kellendvar his Headsman is. After a bit of torture Kellendvar is found to be looking for his blood brother and we find him aboard one of the broken dead ships torturing serfs muttering about how its all over and the Legion are becoming gangs again reverting to type (sounds familiar). After a fight which ends up with Kellendvars brother Kellenkir being dragged back and chained to a post. We get a visit by Lord of the Kyroptera Krukesh The Pale 103rd Captain and his fleet who has come to find out about this beacon. After alot of power play that ends up with Skraivok bowing to Krukesh the beacon stop and the light stays. Krukesh says: ‘Well, well, well,’ said Krukesh. ‘That, if I am not mistaken, is Macragge.’ His spread fingers held up before him cast a hard black shadow across his face. ‘How very interesting.’ And then orderes 'Prepare the Fleet; and of to investigate the system they go! Actually a very awesome NL story as it has some nice interaction between NL that I haven't seen for a while since the Banter of 1st Claw.
