@One-eye:  It just takes practice, but it's also important to try and learn the right stuff.  You can always try and post stuff up here.  You can get advice from the nice folk here!

@daemonclaw:  Love your works too!

@geektom:  Well... I try not to plan too much.  It really isn't a good design method, but I love the joy and challenge of making stuff on the fly.  I tend to do the planning in my head and hit the paper only when I really get stuck.  I made my first bike years ago, and the newer 3 are based off it, so it came a lot easier.  I just had to find the key elements to make them uniquely theirs, though I suspect the Libby and the Techmarine will overshadow the Chapter Master heh.

The tubing is made using the tube tool from Masq Mini (http://masqmini.com/index.php/tubetool.html).

Almost done!  The base model is pretty much good to go, so all that's really left is the detailing of the bike... so rivets, maybe a couple more books, pouches etc.

Anyways before that...

I wanted the front of the bike to look different.  I played around with having a skull on the hood like ram horns.  But it didn't feel right, so I just opted for the traditional skull. I used the parts from a chaos marine helmet for the horns and the skull.

I cut off the bird head from the bike and replaced it with the skull head.

@geektom  I have mentioned it in on one of my really old threads.... but let me see if I can dig up anything.  Well something along these lines.

@Ace.  They ARE bits, plasticard, resin, GS/Putty...

Ever since I played Borderlands 2, I have always wanted to make a Sniper for my marines (yes yes I played Zero...)  So here is the base body.... Guess with the new Assassins book I can count him as a Vindicare?

Here is my first attempt at a sniper rifle.  I was thinking of something special based off Azrael's bullpup combi-plasma, and an exitus, so yeah a Sniper Bullpup rifle.

I had a lot of difficulty making it fit, so I had to rework it into a single arm style.  And it is way too big.  I want it to fit double handed, like as as though he is aiming/shooting.  Looks like I'll be attempting more.

And for fun, here it is on my Libby... and it looks awesome.  Pity I don't have any rules for it.

once again outstanding work ,my only crit is personally i would have put the lens of the sight the other way around,as the way i figure is that it forms more of a shade to prevent glare (or i could be completely wrong which is a strong possibilityhappy.png )

@incinerator:  I'd love a prone sniper but I can't figure out how to do with convincingly with marine armour.

@lexington:  It's made of plastic strips.  Here's a tutorial.  :)  It's easier to see than photos.  Hope it helps!

@daemonclaw:  Yeah I know what you mean.  I followed the Exitus rifle's scope for that.

I was mainly referring to the purity seal and trying to convince you to go a little light on embelishing him. I could suggest a crouched look from devastator kneeling legs with a turned posture while aiming from ruins.

You could also go more towards a designated marksman bolter or such.

Oh that.  Haa!

Mmm yeah I'd agree the seal is a bit forced.  But at the moment I can think of what else to do to detail it more.  I'm working on a  new smaller one now though.  It's almost done.  Will post up pics tomorrow.

I like the kneeling legs, but I have never been comfortable with the angle that they are facing.  The knees are better suited to a left handed firing position.  You will require your back leg to help brace your recoil, but with the current legs and most of the marines being right handed, he would just tip over.  If anything, I'll prollie have mod a set of legs myself sometime.

That being said, the design of the sniper is to be mobile.  I do like the cool stand up straight pose that the Vindicare has.  And also, the entire plan for it is to have the rifle and arm magnetised... that would give me some leeway when I make a new body in the future.  :D
