I think the Raging Hormones line will be as delayed as the proper Sisters one... :laugh.: They have some nice ideas though, so I wouldn't mind GW taking a more sensible look at them.

The only thing a true Sisters player needs is faith. On that we can surely agree! When your last game winning roll comes through despite the odds, or when your opponent's 2+ saves count for nothing against righteous bolter fire... you didn't think that was luck did you? No, for the Emperor takes care of His own.

Raging Hormones... Why didn't I think of that? It's certainly more forum-friendly than the nickname I came up with. Less insulting and condescending, but them's the break. :tongue.:

No, for the Emperor takes care of His own.

*hides Word Bearers models* :ph34r.:

EDIT: You know you're a sister of battle player when you find a column of pine processionary larvas on the way to the mall and find yourself thinking 'if only I had a hand flamer.'

You know you're a Sisters of Battle player when, upon learning your favorite Sisters of Battle models are no longer available from the Games Workshop web store, you DESIGN and MOLD YOUR OWN, as Raging Heroes' owners did.

You know when you're a Sisters of Battle player when you've heard about that kickstarter so many times that it makes you physically ill to hear about it yet again.

You know you're a true Sisters player when the Raging Heroes sculpts make you cringe at the idea of some horndog trying to use them to represent Sisters.

Praise be the Emperor! Raging Heroes isn't a bad sculpt, but in my (rarely humble) opinion it doesn't feel like 40k, nor does it feel like they're Adepta Sororitas. Too much Heavy Metal pinup, not enough bad-ass grimdark.

EDIT: Raging Hormones is indeed the best name I've seen shared for them.

A humble opinion is not an opinion worth having. :tongue.:

You know you're a sister of battle player when, in Attila Total War, you burn every settlement with a different religion to the ground regardless of whether it's necessary or not. You know, on principle. And your fire arrows have caused more casualties than all the firestorms of the second world war combined.

I'm not there yet, but it's a noble goal.

The wisdom of the humble should never be discounted, for often they are the most thoughtful of individuals.

Thought, after all, begets heresy. Why work harder to find it than you have to?

Blessed is the mind too small for doubt.

If only we could say the same regarding Games Workshop's own handling of the Adepta Sororitas. Doesn't the company have faith a Sisters army will not only sell, but sell WELL? Or do they really want to cede that market to "Raging Hormones"?

GW has shown themselves to be a jealous mistress when it comes to others stepping into their turf. If they even think there is potential for Raging Hormones to take their business then they'll step up their game to match or beat that down.

That or start another several year lawsuit.

You know you're a Sisters player, when scouring ebay to sate your need for metal models for more recruits, you come across a 54mm Inquisitor Sisters model and you have to have it!

Trouble is, the auction ends when I'm at work tomorrow, so I might have to put in an auto bid on my last break to try to get it (unless it gets ridiculously expensive! :sad.: )

When abouts? I could try and grab the bid for you if the timing's not inconvenient, I have the day off.

I only just saw this, but thanks for the offer! :happy.: I'd like to say that I was victorious, but I was out bid in the end (£56 plus £4 P+P)

Thinking about it, I think that was just a little too much, even for me! :laugh.:

You know your canoness is entertaining thoughts of putting you into a penitent engine when you genuinely believe Dawn of War III will happen before plastics.

:ph34r.:

Five hours in a silice and fifty two Ave Alicias, Sister, and the Emperor may forgive your lapse in faith.

:laugh.:

You know you're a Sisters of Battle player when you wish for the Dawn of War III main campaign to be based on an Adepta Sororitas order, with the prologue mission ending with your team killing Miriya and Verity. For being mavericks. And on principle. Because.

Turns out DoW III is coming out before plastics.

Actually though, I just wanted to post in this thread before it hit the 90-days-inactive mark. Just because, here's the relevant B&C rule, proving I have done nothing wrong in reviving this awesome topic:

"Threadomancy: If a thread has not had a post in over 90 days please DO NOT post to bump that thread back up unless you are the OP and are adding to your original thread."

It has been 57 days since the last post, and I don't want to see this thread die.

Well, to keep this topic from falling to the depths again...

You know when you're a Sisters player when no one talks to you at the local GW about your (now mothballed) Marine and Xenos armies any more and ask when you're going to stop (NEVER!):laugh.:

You know you're an Adepta Sororitas player when you launch a crusade against Avalanche Press for having the audacity to hire the foul heretic Matt Ward.

Burn the heretics! Let the holy flames cleanse them of their sins!

Is it OK if I extend my crusade to include the foul heretics known as the Ultramarines, who "all other chapters look up to"?

You know you're a Sisters player when you give serious consideration to what you need to pack in your carry case just so you can save a bit of weight.

You know you're a Sisters Player when even though you're carrying around 3 or 4 digits worth of models, you aren't afraid of muggers because your carry case is heavy enough to be used as a weapon.

Interestingly, Ward's actually turned his stance around since leaving GW. He's not a pig. He just had no idea what he was doing.

The whole bloodtide dead-sisters-blood-wards thing was apparently supposed to be pro-Sisters to show how pure and incorruptibly awesome they are.
