...when Black Templar players come to you for lessons in ZEAL.

Anyone else having nightmares of Black Templars and Adepta Sororitas shouting, "Behold the power of my faith! Benedictions of the God-Emperor! Hoa!" "Your faith is weak! Behold the power of MY faith! Fervent prayer to the God-Emperor! Hiya!" "Your religious zeal is pathetic in comparison to the glory that I offer upon the God-Emperor! Behold the power of MY faith!" for HOURS, like 'Dragonball Z' characters before a fight?

A Sister would never stoop to such levels. It is a given that a Sister's faith exceeds that of others, though the Templars' efforts are laudable.

At least both sides are handling this with more maturity than the Ultramarines. (:censored: it, Matt Ward!)

It's not only Mat Ward. I remember various designers in the old White Dwarf stating the Ultramarines were the best or the guys you sent when you wanted to a job done. The battle featuring Vostroyans and Ultramarines versus Ygethmor's Black Legion warband for the fate of a Medusan V governor for the latter, I believe? Back when Sicarius was just some name grafted on some Ultramarine bloke with twin lightning claws. Mat Ward just made it obvious.

Speaking of the old White Dwarf, you know you're a sister of battle player when the battle reports between the Adepta Sororitas and 1) filthy tau and 2) flea-ridden 13th company are among your favorite to read.

"THIS ISN'T EVEN MY FINAL FAITH!"

I know right, once I knew the contents of the book to say i was livid would be putting it mildly, but some how having officially printed rules in my hands just sort of melted away the anger like a dominion rolling double six to pen.

...when every new release for your army somehow REMOVES lore from your faction.

Considering how God-Emperor-awful some of the lore is, it may be considered a blessing in disguise. Remember when the Grey Knights butchered members of the Order of the Ebon Chalice, and used the sisters' blood to ward off a BLOODTHIRSTER? (Matt Ward, you fail READING COMPREHENSION.)

...when high heels don't make your army faster in combat.

The heels are there to better humiliate heretics as you step on them.

I thought they were used to inflict more pain when kicking the groins of enemies of the Imperium?

I agree that that story is absolute nonsense but I also believe if it had been written differently it could have been, if not good, then at least okay rather than yet another pointless Sister stomping to feed GW's raging hateboner for their own creation.

For example, if the Grey Knights had approached the Sisters and explained their plan to use a holy ritual to protect against the Bloodtide, the Sisters, being pretty big on martyrdom, might have volunteered to give their lives up to give the GK a chance to stop it. This could paint the Sisters in a more flattering light as instead of being hapless victims butchered by the big strong manly Marines, they become badass martyrs willingly making the ultimate sacrifice to stop a world-ending evil and the GK showing respect for the Sisters' as fellow warriors of the Emperor as well as their devotion.

My idea to improve this line was simple: When the Sisters realized their blood could serve as a ward against the Daemon's influence, they THROW THEMSELVES UPON THE GREY KNIGHTS' SWORDS. This changes the Sisters from innocent victims of Daemon worshipers (the Grey Knights themselves, thanks to Matt Ward's awful writing), to MARTYRS.

Anyone picture the following scene occurring?

The Bloodthirster, Greater Daemon of Khorne, opens his mouth to shout, "Blood for the... Blargh!" His battle cry interrupted by agony beyond even the Blood God's worst imagination, the Bloodthirster dropped his weapons- sullying the Blood God's gifts, and insulting the one he served, in his ignorance- as he collapsed onto the blood-soaked ground, cradling his groin.

The Adepta Sororitas member's power armored boot- stained red and white when it smashed into the Greater Daemon's groin- descended to steady her. Answering the Bloodthirster's battle cry with the words "Balls for the God-Emperor," the Sister squeezed her meltagun's trigger. The weapon drowned out the Greater Daemon's pained cries as the melta beam vaporized the Bloodthirster's head and upper chest.

Problem is that some heretics are onto that.

That was in C:GK not the WD Dex, we only get a passing mention of "missing Sisters" in ours.

And it COULD work if you read it as "the Grey Knights can't leave witnesses thus are forced to martyr the Sisters but dab protective sigils on their armour using the blood of the Sisters to honor their bravery and purity in holding out uncorrupted as long as they did".

But that story needs more space than what was given, or a narrative where we read it from the perspective of the Justice who gave the order.
