I don't think exodus is that bad. I run him with headhunters to varying degrees of success but I'd never say he's useless. Teaming up with hh gives him preferred enemy (which is really great especially with execution shot) and in return they get: stealth, scout, acute senses and move through cover. Not bad I think. Only problem is that hh banestrike bolters are half the range of exodus's rifle...

As for exodus himself I use him mostly for sniping out nuncio guys (my opponent really likes barrage stuff), weapon specialists, rapiers, and most of all (which is really stupid) light vehicles (2/4 S5 rending or 1 S6 rending). I rarely use execution shot (unless target is 3+) because vs. 2+ targets I count on rending anyway, and potentially 4 rending shots have greater chance of succes than one (not to mention that they wound on 3+ and even if they don't rend, there are {up to} 4 armor saves rolls to pass).

 

 

Question: can Exodus be equipped with additional power dagger?

Rules as common sense dictates.

 

For example, look at previois characters. When that character has an option, like Abaddon, or Khârn, it is clearly listed as such. This is more likely an oversight in the rules which wasn't picked up by FW's neckbeards testers (a problem inherent with people who know how it *should* be played rather than by those who glitch or attempt to abuse the system in computer games.

The problem here is RAW vs RAI the age old battle which is right and which is wrong. In my honest opinion if anyone tries to Dynat a power dagger they are getting a slap.

I'd say in this case, since Dynat already has a Thunderhammer and Power Sword + a special rule for using both in combat that giving him a power dagger might cause more headaches than not

Still not sure why he doesn't have a Paragon Blade. Or has 4 attacks base.

 

It wouldn't make him broken, but it would put him more in line with other Praetors (which he is after all).

 

Still, whack him with Headhunters and he's effective S4.5 so it's alright in the end.

What do you think of this combo:

Step 0: Armillus Dynat

Step 1: Saboteur with combat augment array

Step 2: Outflank into the enemy's deployment zone

Step 3: Sabotage attack with combat augment array (6) AND "Harrowing" +1 on damage table

Step 4: any "normal" vehicle = target destroyed for granted or - (1+D3) hull points for super heavies

Hey what kind of list are you running with this plan? like point level? I want to gage out what an effective list would be for Alpha Legion, maybe considering it in the future as an alternate list 

Any one run a mec list with Hydra row?

 

Was thinking on 3 sq in rhinos destroyers in LR with dynat with exploratory web. And taking siege term as traitors but DS them in. Going with tank hunter. Not build this list with set opponent in mind just want to bring somthing different to next game night.

Should be quite good. Consider taking a Siege Breaker for Tank Hunter. It gives you a Nuncio Vox able to Deep Strike in and pull down accurate Medusa fire.

 

Remember that the Land Raider doesn't have the assault vehicle rule meaning that you're limited to firing bolt pistols and throwing a phosphex bomb or two. 

Yeah I like taking just to lower the reserves rolls, and find its a good head game as well scouting LR. Rad Ml with bs5 is nice as well, and who doesn't like toss out some phosphors.

 

good call on the SB I was leaning towards taking the saboteur and pulling instance kill on any tanks. But I want hold off on that, don't want to abuses it.

Anyone think it's :cussed that FW is pushing out blue marines before they get our stuff out, they haven't finished the legions that are already in the books released, but dropping :cuss for legion that hasn't been unveiled yet.

 

On tactic side I ran version of mec list agsint a NL list using there ROW, pull off s small victory do object. But terror sqs are no joke and I failed 2 fear test but luckily the dice gods made it up to me and I was able to rally.

What page and book number does it describe the consul information? I want to see the upgrade options for the saboteur and see how much he costs in total to destroy a vehicle on the first turn lol 

The Saboteur is in the Alpha Legion section of Book 3 or the Alpha Legion section of the Legions Mini book.

 

So, which book do you have?

I have all the books, and I have seen the section on the Alpha Legion, I just mean it says 30pts, but its an upgrade to a consul right? Where is the upgrade options for the consuls? 

Consuls are Base 50 before Gear.

 

Prices range from 30-45, Generally. Consuls Upgrade Options are on their page(s) in LA:CAL and Berayal. They're on the reverse of their Unit Entry.
