Thanks guys i really appreciate all the feedback. What i love about the AL is all the different schemes you can do within the same army. The base of my army is blue. Troops and Main vehicles are green/blue and Special units and vet dreads are blue blue, along with Dynat.

@ Halandar: are you asking how i achieved the purple or over all scheme?

Lastly Is anyone else who airbrushes noticing the paints are going on much smoother on the GW plastic?

The overall scheme for the Terminators specifically.

It's primed with Vallejo grey.

Gungrey over the whole model

Vallejo steel on parts that would receive the most light.

FW clear purple at random

Tamiya clear blue two coats

Watered down wash of gulliman blue

And very watered down Vallejo black wash

The silver on it is Vallejo steel

If I had excess money I would throw it and my miniatures at you. That blue/purple is perfect.

Haha thank you! An thanks for all the great feedback guys. I was very unsure how the purple would show up if at all. I have ordered ten more termies. I hope to have these finished tonight and hope to get started on my second contemptor!

Those Terminators are smoother than Roger Moore!

They look incredible already ;-)

Very impressive work,

As to your earlier comment....yes, airbrushing the new plastics is a breeze :-) ...the primer seems to go on very smooth compared to the resin models..makes life easy.

Again, great stuff

So throughout the past...two years i have been working on my alphas i have used about 3 different schemes. I have used the Blue green i started out with, Two forms of blue and most recently the purple and blue. Originally the pure blue would only be for vets (vet dreads) and special units like seekers and special characters, but the blues are a little off from one another. And lastly the purple ish blue which you can see on my most recent termies.....I guess what i am getting at is that too much going on to the point it will look like a hodge podge group of guys and not an actual army....I feel like it is all over the place and maybe i should started over with one consistent theme.....haha this has been driving me nuts and keeping me up at night. Any honest thoughts and suggestions would be great. Thanks guys!
So I've been away a while now and just having a quick glance at threads to catch up. Saw the Dread on your last post which then made me go back and spend an hour reading and looking at every single post in this thread. Holy crap what an army! You have got some real talent mate!

I seriously think the Alpha specific Contemptor Dread might be my favorite. I love that thing!

As for the army coherency, I have to agree with the others and say a group shot will help us help you. But if a full scale repainting army wide is in order my vote is 100% for the purple hued tone. Looks just like a mystichrome terminator cobra lol.

Thanks for all the support fellas, definitely what keeps me going! I know i mentioned earlier about the Paint going on differently for the GW than the FW look at my most recent tac marine and sarge. Check out their shoulder pads and compare the FW AL one and the GW standard one, it's unreal how different the textures are.

Tried taking pics of the entire army and they did not turn out well at all. Too dark and you could barely tell what colors they are. But here are my blue green guys them seem to all pretty much be the same
