Thanks everyone! I was hoping to get more posted but i made an unexpected trip to Asheville NC to visit breweries and get sloshed haha. I should have alot of updates this week. I just got alot of Bits and bases in the mail.

 

 

Looking great. The bare heads should all be the same, because they are all Alpharius.

Other than the occasional Mohawk every helmet-less AL will be bald. You won;t see any facial hair or hair for that matter (except maybe a mohawk) haha

I'm sure the transfer sheet has some small enough. Those little lower-case alphas and deltas should fit.

Awesome thanks! looks like i will be coming up with a black blue Armor scheme, ive actually never thought of Decals for face tats, i probably wouldn't use the smaller ones otherwise

Ok before I get too far with my new bases, what do you think about alphas on the RG bases? On my original grey bases the grey pigments just aren't showing up. Also my wip dread.

The drums look like they're from Anvil Industry combined with GW bolters.

They are actually part of the GW sternguard set. I went up to my local gw store for that set because it has SOO many great bits!

 

Do you guys have a preference? The base i recently posted above or the originals? i am leaning towards the new ones

Hi, I was wondering, when you do the metallic on the Alpha Legion.

 

Do you mask off the areas you want to keep metallic and then do the glazes, or do you spray the glaze across the whole model and then go back to do the metallic?

 

I am really curious because the paintwork is so awesome and crisp.

I like the new bases, the lighter color is a great contrast to your power armor color.

These bases are much more preferential. Plus, this means you have to paint up your RG on the same, then get a RoB board; hopefully that one with the crashed THawk, and paint it all up to match.

I paint the Metallics on after I wash it with girlyman and then wash the entire model with Vallejo black wash

Just something small for now I will have an in depth post later. A lot going on about to finish all 4 dreads. There is my redone command said back there. Finishing a ten man tac squad. Also about to start on 40 bases including 3 dread bases and a leviathan bases. I should have all this finished just in time for my dark furies and Raven guard to arrive! Sooooo much going on haha.
