Started and finished. It's all juice. A veritable Chekhov's arsenal of foreshadowing. There's barely a chapter you'll be able to make it through without going "hang on, he did what to who?!" or similar.

A lot of people are going to be starting Black Legion armies this year.

SERIOUSLY?! How quick do you read?

#660 in hand, and a weighty tome it is!

I can't be the only person who had a moments hesitation in even removing it from the tissue paper...?

#1197 for me. Arrived this morning. I looked at the cardboard it came in with "Black Library First Editions" written on one side. I had my first hesitation. Number two was the tissue paper held together with the small circular chaos star sticker. My third was when I was looked at the unabashed tome itself. It has a nice weight to it, the tactile sensation of the cover is really nice and, let's face it, it looks pretty damned cool. Colour me happy. :D

"It's all juice" - this my new phrase of choice, I will be trying to work it into conversation at the earliest opportunity!

Anybody have a brief summary for those of us who don't mind spoilers?

I'd advise against it. Like Legion, I think it's a story that's better if you get the surprises and revelations in the right order.

Finished it. Twice. Going to wait a few days and a further read before posting anything. Want to crank my jaw off the floor and try to wrap my broken mind around it.

In short this has been knocked so far out the park it's gone intercontinental

Good lord. Twice? I envy both your free time and your reading speed.

I think I'll finish Scars, first. I have a horrible habit of starting new books and not finishing earlier ones. I might bump Talon up the queue though. happy.png

Yes, please finish Scars first. And keep Vengeful Spirit high on the list (after Talon of Horus of course). For very selfish reasons. :D

Hum. The Talon of Horus wallpapers have been taken off the BL website which is a damn shame because I didn't manage to nag them before they disappeared. Any chance that someone here has them and could provide them for both myself and anyone else who'd like them, please?
