I bought it simply because the first chapter had me hooked, I don't want to wait, and I can afford it. Plus it'll look damn good sat next to my HH books. I didn't mind Nick kyme's Salamanders series, but fluff-addiction isn't so invested in the XVIII that I'd buy a first edition for them.
