WarriorFish
I spotted them in my inbox, very cool indeed! Great to see the SA getting more stuff. Though to be fair, I suppose FW need to pump out enough for an army to make them worth getting :P Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/297861-solar-auxilia/page/4/#findComment-3940725 Share on other sites
Jolemai
Is that a double barreled turbo laser with a baneblade cannon on top? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/297861-solar-auxilia/page/4/#findComment-3940815 Share on other sites
Jolemai
Is that a double barreled turbo laser with a baneblade cannon on top? Nope, it's a dual battlecannon with a stormhammer cannon on top. Meanwhile, those six sponsons can be upgraded to heavy flamers or lascannons. eek! WarriorFish
Don't forget the quad mortars, but yes that's a hell of a lot of fire power. As it should be! :D Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/297861-solar-auxilia/page/4/#findComment-3941595 Share on other sites
Jolemai
From the HH Weekender: SA Command Stormhammer Also there's been some info on the Imperial Militia, they are basically not as well equipped as the SA. Basically they are the pre-PDF force. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/297861-solar-auxilia/page/4/#findComment-3944249 Share on other sites

CoffeeGrunt
I could afford two GW Baneblades for the price of one of those plus postage. But dear God is it pretty. WarriorFish
Yeah, extra guns are also cool of course but two Baneblades is cooler if we're talking money spent... Jolemai
The model is a mixed plastic and resin kit. Do you think you get a full Baneblade kit and the bits to make it into a Stormhammer, or just the minimum amount needed? elmo
Without actually buying one it is hard to know. The best way would be to look at what parts are in plastic on the model then check the baneblade sprues with these pieces to see what else you would get. I won't be buying one - it is pretty but I would rather have 2 normal baneblades :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/297861-solar-auxilia/page/4/#findComment-3956906 Share on other sites
WarriorFish
I did think about that, would FW want to end up with a pile of bits from opened Baneblades? I think you get the entire kit, but someone will need to confirm as I've not ordered a full kit from FW before. elmo
If you do get the complete kit then you (I) can add it to the partial baneblade in the Hammer of Cadia and build a(nother) magnetised one.... Just thinking out loud ;) The medusa came with a complete basilisk along with the resin so there is hope... CoffeeGrunt
It's possible, I think the other Baneblades from Forge World come wit the complete sprues. elmo
Try emailing FW. They are very helpful. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/297861-solar-auxilia/page/4/#findComment-3956942 Share on other sites
Jolemai
True, but I'm still waiting for them answer the last email I sent them (which was before Christmas)... Had at look at the Fellblade which is also a mutlipart resin and plastic kit, but I can't tell (nor have I heard) if it's a Baneblade + bits. Off to PCA I go... WarriorFish
Emails and FW has never mixed, the volume they get is too much. That was back in the day too, I can only imagine it is far worse now since they started doing the HH stuff. Always phone them, you won't get lost in the warp that way ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/297861-solar-auxilia/page/4/#findComment-3956955 Share on other sites
Jolemai
That's the risk we all take with warp travel. Apparently we should only expect enough plastic bits for the non-resin bits. It's understandable though, during the Heresy resources were hard to find... WarriorFish
They look cool, though I note that they've got the first paragraphs mixed up in the descriptions :P You can't go wrong with artillery, it'd be nice to get some infantry options in the next Guard codex :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/297861-solar-auxilia/page/4/#findComment-3975724 Share on other sites
