Okay so this is it the last bit of work (minus inspired adjustments of course) before painting to my core 1500 point Warband!

 

Okay first up was the skin shoulder pads for 5th Claw Terror Squad. Decided I liked the stretched plastic look for skin rather than green stuff.

Well being ill doesn't completely suck as I got a chance to play around with some of the defining features of 3rd 4th and 5th Claw Terror Squads. My idea is that each squad will specialise in their Fear markings making them stand out. Also you may notice the number runes combine with Roman Numerals so I remember what number each one is

Forgot to mention a small bit of work on the Deimos Style tank turret just to elevate it up. I will be working slowly on that one until its perfect and ill post pictures when it comes to painting it up.

Ill be adding a certain phrase muttered by Septimus in the Voidstalker Novel to the Scorpio Whirlwind Turret in Nostroman Runes

Thanks. I do base coat Silver, this is so if it chips boom battle damage. My Night Raptors came out well I'm very happy with the wings.

This is more of a note for me.

I need to paint Night Raptors first due to their awesome and to remember to paint on bone shade bottom skulls on the helms.

I will paint Bone Spiders on 3rd Claws Helm over them Brown Spider images.

4th Claw to get diamond pattern scales as the current attempt doesn't stand out enough.

The Dark Talon will get bone painted wings with a blood painted set of bat wings on top.

 

And finally a thought for the future, Sevatar model is probably a must but the Nostroman Lion must be copied so I can move onto to fixing the NL Terminators.

Thanks Flint, very easy to do and they came out well on several helmet types but the new Raptor helmets do suit it well.

 

 

Just been reminded I have a weeks holiday next week so yey a nice block of time to paint rather than a little dab here and there. Hopefully this means Night Raptors will be finished by the end of next week.

Thought I needed to get my Dark Talon base done so I could finally use the Skeleton horse ive been hoarding in my bit box for a while.

So snow, dead horse and some frozen water and the base is done.

Im really happy with how this turned out as I love the contrast of Midnight blue against the snow (and im sure we will have some red gore splattered on the snow soon)

So of course I couldn't just do one base. As I was adding snow to the flyer base I decided my test Night Raptor could do with some, I also added a bit of snow weathering to the legs. On a non Snow related update I have played around a little adding teeth to the helmets skull face paint to add some depth.

Okay before my time off and the hopefully fully painted completion of the Shadow Hawks Night Raptor 1st Claw, lets spill out some ideas in my system for Phase two of the Warband. Which links to the awaiting pending new member of the forum Dannpickering 's Space Wolves and later Chaos Skyrars Dark Wolves forces.

The Warband of Eviscerated Truth was splt into two forces when they made planet fall to fight the Imperial guard stationed on the unfortunate planet on which they wage war. The 1500pts force is the strike force that first landed ad the second force consists so far of 11 Atramentar (1 Bodyguards the Slaves), Squat Mechanical Team of Slaves, Rapier Team, Apothecary (DA Company Master using Flaymaster rules), Corpses of 2nd Claw (Objective markers with armour to scavenge), Vindicator Tank and who ever else made landfall before the Night Lords Cruiser Spiteful Intent was blown from orbit by the surprise appearance of a Space Wolves Detachment. Luckily the Space Wolves detachment is hunting other prey and was unaware that the unmarked ship belonged to Warriors of the VIII legion and not the Skyrars Dark Wolves they hunt.

(I wonder if a team up might happen even if they are Chaos worshipping Traitors that Zaqar despises? As the enemy of my enemy is my friend, that and their ship is an awfully tempting target ).

Anway my Space Hulk BA Terminators that will make the Altramentor Terminators, ive made a few adjustments like Tusks and trophy racks that I pictured before but when I revisit them I think I may add magnetised Stormshields and power weapons. Now to help add a Night Lord vibe I will be instant moulding Sevatars Shoulder pad Lion for their shoulder pads and add the Von Carstein Upgrade Pack bits. (Sevatar will be only for fun games and not an official warband member)

So here is my W.I.P Sketch of Brother Omnio model who will become Altramentor Standard Bearer Vul Gesh, ive decided his main look will be the scanner arm with banner of hatred (with other magnetised options and a holstered Storm bolter).

The raptors are coming along nicely.

 

Vul Gesh also looks like he will be a winner. I like terminators with banners and that Von Carstein one will look proper in VIII Legion hands. I can't believe I haven't seen that kit before too. I'd love to trim off some of those winged skulls, bend them to fit onto terminator shoulder-pads under hot water, and be a happy clam.

Thanks, a fair bit of painting until I get to playing around with it but will be fun. 12 Shields and a banner is actually very good and if you can like I will moulding those Winged skulls will work out well.

After ive added the Midnight Blue comes the fun bits I fully plan on getting artistic free hand with Ascalon's Ruin. Prepare to see some very Night Lords esc iconography, a Dragon and some Scorpions.
