Well his world was brought into compliance very early , and  he wasant a heavy support specialist for too long before he lost his arm and started techmarine training ,  He just definitely is one by ullanor  so whenever before then would work

I think I may need to add a few to my shopping list.

 

As for half measures... With the battering the Raven Guard took at Istvaan and the failed attempt to get back to strength. The last tthing the Raven Guard can afford is go for half measures & watch their legion bleed away, a slow death.

As for half measures... With the battering the Raven Guard took at Istvaan and the failed attempt to get back to strength. The last tthing the Raven Guard can afford is go for half measures & watch their legion bleed away, a slow death.

 

yea, i got 4. My tax return was going faster than I saw it! Perks of being single I guess.

 

and thats my logic. The RG cannot waste any strength they have left, and every Astartes is now a resource needed to preserve. From the outer dark comes a predation nomad fleet, stocked well on war material but low on infantry. 

the PN fleet swears vengeance on Horus, which is good enough for the RG, and thus a deadly marriage is made.

It is a little bit see-through.

 

But that can be disguised in the weathering, a dab of silver here and there to scar up the front of the shield and it could be hidden.

 

Otherwise, in future, maybe use an off white, like ushabti bone apply decal, and then paint the the black in around it.

 

LAst option is to just drop the GC marking and do shields with a pack mark instead.

I've decided to remove the decal on the shield, and may go with the above idea of a squad rune.

Now just have to figure out which one...

Turn 1

the combined fire of the Spartan and Assault Cannon Contemptor destroy my Asault Cannon Contemptor, earning RR First Blood.


 

My Praetor and Legion Command Squad arrive DEEP behind the advancing Word Bearers. The dual fist Contemptor, Leviathan Dreadnought, Master of Signals and Thudd Guns destroy the Spartan in return


 

My other arrival, a Tactical Squad, makes a smart/safe landing and then immediately move away from the Mhara Gal

Turn 2

the Word Bearers continue their advance while the wrecked Spartan and graviton templates slow down the Gal Vorbak and Terminators


 

More RG arrive, with the Tactical Support Squad and Tactical Squad all move to take objectives. The Dark Furies advance towards the 20 strong Word Bearer squad while the Praetor and Command Squad move to engage the Gal Vorbak


 

The Leviathan opens fire on the Terminators, killing 4 of the 6 it covered


 

In a case of unleashed HATRED, the Dark Furies kill 11 of the Tactical Marines and wipe them out as they flee...taking no wounds in return


 

Hitting the Gal Vorbak as they were stretched out thin, the Praetor kills the champion and massed attacks kill several more and the Diabolist


 

the Leviathan fails it's charge into the Terminators

Turn 3

the Terminators kill the Leviathan in a combi-melta barrage


 

the Ghara Mal charges and kills the Drop Pod


 

the fight between my Praetor and his squad vs the Gal Vorbak continue


 

the Legion Command Squad finally lose a warrior, but the Gal Vorbak are nearly wiped out. The Cataphractii move to engage the Ghara Mal while my Contemptor moves to charge the remnant of the Chaos Terminators and Chaplain


 


 

the Dark Fury Chooser of the Slain kills the Contemptor while the last of the Gal Vorbak finally falls


 

This combat has the Tainted Dreadnought killing 2 of the Cataphractii, but the last Terminator holds in combat

With the Word Bearer force only having a single Tactical Squad above half strength, RR asks to call the game. I agree 

The final score at the end of Turn 3

Thoughts about the game:

 

-I didnt take the Ceramite Armor on the Leviathan to save points. That was clearly stupid of me and wont happen again

-The Tactical Volkite Squad is fun, but performs poorly against power armored opponents so far. I may look to swap them out

-the Master of Signals+Thud Guns is stupidly powerful. I may be swapping them out for something less hateful

-Graviton guns against armor is GREAT. I wanna spam more

-the Praetor and Command Squad did so well against the Gal Vorbak as I caught them trying to snake around the ruined Spartan. I only had to face a few of them at a time, giving me a massive advantage. 

-RR "Fury of the Legion"ing away an entire 10 strong Tactical squad in a single phase was awesome. It hurt, but was awesome

-The Dark Furies were angry. Just angry. Probably the biggest surprise of the match was their continued survival. 

-I hate to blame dice for anything, because I hit RR as the RG should and did my best to stretch him out, but he got some abysmal luck in close combat. If he wasnt a traitor I'd feel bad for him.

Is this the Levi's first run?

 

Looks like he got work done ^_^

 

I defs agree in the armored ceramite for him too. With most vehicles I'm not a fan, but for a Levi, both players are actively attempting to get him into melta range.

Yea, it was my first time fielding any.

I almost fielded 2 of them, but as aware Ray was bringing a "basic list" (the majority that he had atleast table ready, not what he wants to field) so dropped one of them.

 

The ceramite was dropped to save points, and I was (stupidly) banking on its hull points and invul to see it through the fight. I won't make that mistake again. Failing it's charge was also a blunder that left me in a bad position.

Just because the Dark Furies killed both Tactical Squad and Contemptor

Just because your warlord went down in a fury of thunder hammers
