Just to prove that I've actually done something other than procrastinate, here's how the Iron Father is looking.

Next step will be a lovely coat of anti-shine varnish, and then starting work on the flesh and brass.

Damn it. There I was feeling all pleased with myself for pledging over 10 points worth of stuff, and we have multiple massive pledges that blow me out of the water!

Impressive pledge Daemon, and impressive work already Brother Vidius. Its awesome to see such progress from everyone already!

@Kurama - are they a pledge, or are you just sharing your pretty WEs with us? (They look great and I'm not complaining!)

@Raktra - I gave you a like. I hope that is prize enough.

I've basically highlighted some gold this month, I really suck at painting quickly!

If I could pledge them I will just bored waiting for bitz

Edit:

If it's allowed I'll do one pledge being as follows;

10 assault legionaries world eaters

1 solar auxillia lord marshal

1 terminator praetor world eater

5 world eater terminators

Hail Brothers... and Sister smile.png

A lil bit of progress has been made on Lord Curze. Its is by far the most beautiful (in a horrifying way) sculpt i have ever laid my hands on.... and im gonna ruin it with my shoddy painting skills hehe

but without further ado the current progress on the Haunter himself

I pledge to do 5 Siege Tyrants for my Iron Warriors. Actually started Sunday before I noticed this thread, but its still January so it counts. At this point they have been built, primered, partially base coated and washed with the initial washes over the leadbelcher. Tonight I start the brass/bronze work and silver highlights.

I never said Kurama, but using Lord Solar Macharius as a base for a Lord Marshel is genius, wish I thought of it. What load out you thinking. I'm going with, Displacer Matrix, Cyberfamiliar, Power Weapon, Archeotech Pistol, Melta bombs, survivable, and shooty.

Came home to a beautiful sight... a boring brown package from across the pond... delight danced through my brain. MKIV, tigrus and seeker bolter sets and.... night lord torsos..golly gee!?? These are not the Fists torsos I was looking for. Thankful for a generous customer service who have dispatched the proper torsos as speed and said 'the other torsos may work for you in the future.' The heresy of that statement is a stain on my soul that may only be cleansed with the righteous burning fire of promethium on the battlefield.

Soooooo... I may be running a lil late on my vow.

Also, its supposed to be a blustery 1 degrees non-celsius tomorrow and I left a can of new primer in my car which may or may not be solid when I go out in the morn... needless to say, I am running a lil behind on some of these awesome new years vows the brethren are raking in!!!!

Keep up the mojo y'all!

Well here is the progress so far. Just a backpack and grenades/ mag pouches and pistols on a couple of these and they will be ready to paint.

I currently wallow in shame. Having pledged for the 1st month and utterly failing (due to laziness and life) I need to redeem myself. Originally, I pledged 5 White Scars boarding marines and 15 man Alpha Legion squad. Here's where I left off:

My White Scars body - I have now finished all 5 bodies - now need to get the arms sorted. Here's the test piece:

And here's the rest of the bodies on corks:

Now for the Alpha Legion squad:

These boys have languished as primed for the last few months, their accusing glares haunting me. I am determined to make a start AND finish them this month.

Progress! Yes!

White Scars Lineup:

Finally, the first 5 Alpha's see paint!

It's unlikely that I'll get the White Scars arms sorted this month. The Alpha's I'm confident of though. Not too sure on how the colour has come out so far. A bit too much green I think. Will try to do a blue glaze to tone it down. At the moment, they're drying (Tamiya paints take a wee while). Tomorrow, I hope to finish the top highlights, varnish them and be in a position to then start on the details (Silver, Eyes, Hosing, etc) at the weekend. If these work out, I'll do the next 10 in one go. Then it's the weapons.

You'll notice they're missing shoulder pads. That's because I've not ordered them from FW yet!
