Letting the transfers dry. They're pretty cool, but the yellow ink printed for the eyes is kinda wonky. You'd have to look REALLY close to notice, though:

Way too much rain to paint in the workshop. Southern California's getting a helluva storm.

Perfect time to build more Skullcrushers!

No such thing as too many juggernauts, as far as I'm concerned. :D

I do wish GW would release a new flesh hounds kit, though. My chaos war hounds are so ugly, and I sold my barghest fiends because for some reason I'm crazy and want to use GW products. But the warhounds will do, for now. At least I can play my Gorepacks using them.

And now, jumping to something else before finishing anything, I present a test berzerker:

What do you think? How are those leg armor plates? How about the cuts into the greaves to add another point of articulation?I plan on adding some more defined green stuff trim around the lower leg pieces. Where they essentially blended in to the legs on the stock kit, I shaved that way so I could build up something that you actually notice.

I like the knees. I'm not sure on the extra armour, but that might just be the angle of the photo. Makes the plate on his left leg (our right) look like it's not fully attached.

Its a good start and I like the armour plates and I'm sure some green stuff will blend them in. The chaos kits have often left me frustrated with dodgy trim vanishing in to the main armour so doing something bout that would be sensible and should look cool.

For some reason all the photos look that way, I think it's the way the light is playing out. Doesn't look perfect in person, but does look better. I pressed the parts nearest the crotch down a bit and the look is improved.

Yeah, for sure, there is plenty of greenstuff work left to do.

Thanks!

Had a go at sculpting some trim on the greaves. Not perfect, but good enough:

Thanks, that's what I was going for. Doesn't perfectly match the FW kit's trim, which is more or less unmutated (sans spikes poking out), but we'll see what I end up doing. I may try a simpler trim on another dude and see how it looks.
