Many thanks cheese!

 

I can't take all the credit though, most of the guys came from eBay full painted like normal BA. I just blacked them up and touched up bits.

 

The sarge and heavy flamer and flamer guys head are all me though.

 

Now for some decent weather so I can do my Deredeo and then vow some terms...

Vow complete! Holding off on the basing for now till I can figure out something that looks good.

I can't speak fully for the yellow, as I'm pretty sure I forgot to go over some of it in my colours... Oops. I'll post it here when I can find out everything later :)

 

But the flamer ends... No varnish necessary ;)

 

Leadblecher, I think some light nuln, the old GW "brown ink" and then a messy application of either Blathasar or Ghennas gold to shine it.

 

The brown ink is ancient, easily about ten years old. Got it back in my "I should do a plague marine army!" Days... Really nice colour on it though when out onto Leadblecher.

Raeho: That are some great Librarians:smile.:. I like the Dreadnought with three colours and with the Sanguinary Guard Death Mask, it looks cool. I like the force blue mix on the axes. What paints did you use to achieve that?

The bases are done using Martian Iron Earth. 2 to 3 thick coats leaves all the nice cracks then dry brushed with Tau Ochre. Sides are doom bull brown.

 

And yes, it is a Black Templar tabard from the old upgrade kit - recently found two boxes of them I'd had stashed away since the games day they were on sale at (yep... That long ago!) so decided to tabard up all my sarges to distinguish them easier. People bemoan that kit but I think it's ace.

I'd like to if I can squeeze out the time, I'm a really slow painter.. If I fail the other vow do I still get to wear this sweet badge?

And also, got any basing techniques to recommend?

Nope! It all counts as a fail and you end up with the dreaded Carceres Ira...

Perhaps you have something half/three-quarters finished? Up to you, 41 days or so left.

Vow complete:cool.:. The pictures are quite heavely downsized so sadly some details might not be visable. And the earth on the MK IV base is not that dry yet, but I suspect that more cracks will appear.

We're also having a round of golf on Baal Secundus that afternoon. It's a nice course but the bunker shots are insane.

Just wait until I make my total 18 template total intervention force...

 

Vanguard with 5 twin hand flamers and two assault squads with two flamers and twin hand flamer sarge that also do S4 impact hits. It'll probably be crap in game but I'm excited nonetheless :D

 

No one wants to charge these guys.

 

I have a fire problem.
