If you are planning on making a Jetbike Hit Squad, get a Primus Medicae in there, make sure all the Command Squad Members have Combat Shields and give them all Power Fists while you're at it / can afford it; giving the Primus a Sol Glove, obviously. Being T5, only S10 will negate the FNP the Primus would be giving them.

 

Just model the Standard like the wings of a Hussar.

what do you recommend on the praetor himself ?

Pretty Standard Loadout, honestly.

 

Jetbike, Paragon Blade, Iron Halo; anything extra you can fit like: Digital Lasers, Master Crafted, Power Fist (for another +1A) and/or Melta Bombs.

you  dont like the solarite gauntlet on  him then ?  Just powerfists on everyone else and a sol gauntlet on the primus ?

Its because the Paragon Blade is a Specialist Weapon so you'd need a 2nd one for a Bonus Attack; something the Sol Glove is not. Hence the Power Fist or Thunder Hammer if you're so inclined.

 

You could just go All-In and give him a Sol Glove and get as many attacks as you possibly can but you'll be at the mercy of getting ID'd by another Paragon Preator before being able to swing.

 

But yes, Fists for everyone or 3 Fists and 2 Claws to give you some At-Initiative killing in the event of ramming into 3+ saves; if you really want +1A then Axes and Swords.

Sigismund is one really nice model, and you should be proud.

The other models are rank & file. Very few folks put as much effort into those as they do the generals & IC's.

Outside of the  Leviathan  I ordered Ive been considering doing a  Jetbike Praetor and Command Squad.  Not quite sure how I would do the banner though nor how I should kit them. My head says to give them all power weapons  would be a nifty  little squad especially if I take the Eternal Warrior Relic for  the Praetor  it also would free up a lot of points from having to run the spartan since the MOTL  source would be mobile and his  boys would also be mobile. 

That'd be a seriously expensive squad once you kit them out. I'm running into the same issue with my Scars, where it's both fluffy and effective, but wildly expensive. Also slightly saddened that they can't upgrade any of the Heavy Bolters >_<

Well the decision  to buy in  actually hinges on  if they  become Bike Type  or not with the jetbikes  , cause if so I can circumvent a particular restriction  for armored breakthrough where infantry units have to start in transports. 

Essentially the plan would be to trade out the spartan with a heavy retinue in it , be that Templar Brethren or Terminators for the  Praetor and his bike squad which should be similar but still lesser in points.  

Would prolly have to turn around and buy 6 jetbikes for the unit then Templar bits  and heads so it would be both pricy points wise and money wise

Nothing Terribly Exciting Today , did some Transfer work  on  the  775th 
I tried to show both sides of stuff since  I did identical transfers on similar vehicles 











And then we take everything out onto the balcony so we can testors all of it

Thinking about putting together a display board ... like ... in the most poor man way possible ,  getting like a cork board with a frame around it then    doing some texture work  and painting up all these overcast chunks as road blocks or something  I  spent a little bit of time today  trying to figure out what  the configuration would look like

How big a board are you thinking?

 

Check at work, they might have some old ceiling tiles in the store room or such like, which tend to be around 24" x 24" and could save you having to buy anything, should they wish to donate :)

The Levithan Bases came in  today  which meant getting brother Humboldt off his base. 

They were being sold on ebay from  some english hobbyist  I think they look pretty good. 



Humboldt has a raised  leg tho so I  had to add something to give him something to stand on ,  so I  went with the torn off mutilated arm of a traitor contemptor.
