I'm hoping the Cortus-Contemptor will be something like this; similar in size to the normal Contemptor, but with stripped-down armour, 2 DCCWs, and a 'shoulder-mounted' twin-linked special weapon instead of the fist-weapons on the normal Contemptor arms.

Either way: Stormbird, Knight chassis, new tank variant & new Character models (I wouldn't be surprised by a Shadrak Meduson / Tybalt Marr duel set to coincide with Book VI) all provide me with much squeeeeee!

Weekend can't come fast enough

The :cuss is this monster. Whatever it is i need 8 painted metallic turquoise and covered in hydras. Like NOW

What will it be? The staff having another giggle at us, a preview of the event-only model?

It's neither!

It's the Domitar. The arms have grav-hammers and behind its head you can see missiles (the ignis-frag launcher).

VERY excited by updated Legion red books being there though! That's excellent news! biggrin.png

Kinda sucks that we're not seeing more previews though. Was hoping for more today.

Wow. How disappointing. They could have included all the upcoming legions in that red book and waited to release it next month. Instead they want it to be outdated the moment it hits the shelves and milk our money. Not cool down.gif

Hmm, I suspect they didn't want to add Blood Angels, Dark Angels and White Scars to the book as they aren't the full rules (seeing as they'll only get their Legion Traits, specific wargear and Rites of War, and not their Units or Primarchs). Being a Scars player, I'd have liked them in a format where I don't have to carry around those giant black books, but hey, just glad to finally have rules!

Not that I would encourage shenanigans of questionable legality but..... as it's only likely to be a page or two of special rules for the scars, I'd take a photo of the relevant pages on my phone and carry the red book for everything else

On that thought - can someone ask if they would consider digital versions of FW books? Any of them really, IA, HH Black books, red books and everything in between. I travel a lot and FW aren't exactly travel friendly.

It's probably unlikely but if you don't ask, you don't get.

FW are absolutely killing it.

Hopefully that red book contains all kinds of goodies for the earlier (sort of weaker...) legions.

It would be cool if it had the second Rites of War from book six in them too, but I doubt it.

If you own the books you are merely taking photos of an item you own, in the same way as your wife and family, or car or house or model. While you can share those models, FW have requested that you don't share their rules, out of trying to protect their profits. But they can't do anything if it's in your personal possession for your personal use.

Before I buy the red book I want to know what the updated rules are, I dont fancy spending another £30 to £50 for rules I ahve no idea about. Yes it is nice to have all the erratas in one place but I can easily laminate the PDFS. I know I sound grumpy but I only just bought my own copy of the Legion Red Book in October (just before all hte rumours surfaces of a new Red Book coming out)and kinda find it a bit excessive to now release this one. FW are really keeping the rumour mill quiet at the moment and it's bleeding my wallet dry.

Rant over

I imagine any changes they make they'll do an FAQ/Errata for, for those who already own the book. I'd hope so, anyways!

that's the plan as far as i know :)

Why? They didn't for CAL, and it costs them the profit that more than offsets goodwill lost by doing so.
