General Discussion Secundus

A combination of:

1. Noted mutations such as Pariah, Burden or Madness? If so lower

2. Legion size at DoR. Bigger the legion=>greater stability

3. Is the gene-seed noted for being especially stable? If so, higher up.

4. Are they noted to have been in heavy fighting prior to this point? If so, numbers not representative=>higher stability

Actually. Didn't the Fire Keepers get a numbers boost from 150k=>180k? If they did they'll be higher up than I placed them

A Warbringer 'Order' bearing green and brown? Earthly colors. I suggest an Order who either excels at subterranean operations or has a much closer relationship with the average citizen of the Suzerainty.

Okay.

However. The pariah gene is no mutation. It is just not compatible with most gene seeds. Which reminds me to alter it a bit.

And bigger is not totally connected to more stable. Is there a big worlds to draw upon and how long do they have access to their primarch.

Oooh, sapper specialists? Yes please!!!

I phrased that incorrectly, I meant two orders, onewearing green, the other brown. Thørn, your suggestion is so good the Home Guard may get a unit. Terminators with shielded combi-boltgun and power sword...

For instance :) I was actually just thinking of a special weapon option, I can't remember if you had developped one for the warbringers.

Actually, I prefer Simison's idea for the sappers when compared to a second apothecary order, so how about green for the "home guard" and brown for sappers?

Yes I had pushed the FK up to 180 on DoR.

Hello Brotherhood of the Lost

I've been lurking in your sub-forum for quite some time now, and after reading more about your project, i fell in love with it. I'd love to become a part of this project, although i don't know if you still accept new members or what i'd be allowed to do. I've read the start here thread and parts of the legion specific threads, but i'm not sure what i can do to advance this project (if i'm allowed to become part of this in the first place).

Hello and welcome Legionaire,

Hei ja tervetuloa Legionaire,

Of course we accept new members. You can do what you want to do. Although the legions are set, there is a whole universe to fill with your ideas. So we welcome your input, your critique and your ideas.

Right now, we're having a monthly challenge to write something about the Steel Legion, who is our newest, if you're interested. Edited by simison

Well, right now we're running a fluff challenge for people to write short stories/fluff blurbs for a certain legion. This month it's the Steel Legion, so that would be a perfect thing to contribute to.

Edit: damn, ninja'd.

Few ideas I've had for Book 2A that I need to run past people:

-Coronation of the Stormlord:

In the beginning of the Insurrection, Icarion holds off assuming a title, instead being first among equals. Then, at the end of the events of book 2A, he has himself crowned Stormlord in a grand ceremony on Madrigal.

-As part of the Parasites of War Part. Raiding doesn't seem in keeping with the Morning Stars character. So, perhaps we, in addition to covering Insurrectionist insurgos raids into Segmentum Solar, cover Dune Serpents raids and needling of Icarion's south-eastern flank which the Morning Stars are sent to defend against?

Also, when we do the updates in 2C, idea regarding Icarion. You know how Lorgar has GC Lorgar and Lorgar Transfigured? Why not have something similar with Icarion? In Book 1 you get the Stormborn, the GC Icarion. As part of the updates in 2C maybe there could be an "upgrade" to Icarion, a Stormlord version to show him at the pinnacle of his "secular" power?

EDIT: Oh and welcome Legionare! Blame trying to juggle hobby and my final year of secondary school for me not noticing you sooner

I'm sure there will be an 'Icarion Ascendant' reboot for the siege but I honestly don't think Icarion needs a boost for the middle years of the Insurrection.

I could be wrong, but he is still near/at the front of the pack in terms of points cost and abilities.

The only thing that could be added would be an alternate wargear loadout, and alternate 'Stormlord' enhanced sire of the Legion rules. But that should honestly be a lower priority than other more interesting endeavors.
