Great work syn! Really liking this latest model, shows off your skill with gs nicely. Look forward to seeing him painted

Thanks very much Sagentus! I hope to start panting soon as I've already started planning my next project!

The Exalted Champion is finally built, so here he is.

He looks wicked! Great work on him and he is even going to look better leading your Emperor's Children!

Thanks Hushrong, hopefully he'll be leading the army soon. Though I do still need to get another can of spray paint before I can get anything done. I've been a bit snowed in lately, so I still haven't got around to that.

The champion looks awesome where is that wicked spear from?

Thanks very much! The spear body is from a Khorne Bloodcrusher, and the head is from the Varanguard kit.

Dam that exalted champ looks epic! You certqily have a lot of skill to churn these out so quickly

Thanks very much! I'm usually a fair bit slower with my army, but I entered a HQ competition on this forum and made 2 entries (not a very smart idea). So I focused a bit more on them this past month. Not to worry though, things will slow down again!

I wanted to use my Exalted Champion in a game the other day, so I knuckled down and got him painted up. Here he is.

I've also got started on the bikes. So far I've painted the bikes themselves but not the riders. I decided to paint the bikes black with silver trims, not for any particular reason, I just fancied a change. The riders will be painted in my usual Legion colours though.

I'm very impressed with your GS work on the banding of the chaos champion, quality work there. I can only agree with SockWithATicket, you make pink look imposing and that's fairly impressive on its own!

The pinkish silver trim on the bikers work rather well I'd say, but I'm divided on the grey versus blue highlighting on the bolters and body of the bike itself I'll admit. Considering how detailed they are, I'm worried the two colours might create a bit of noise - quite appropriate for the theme of course, but it might not be what you're aiming for?

I could well be talking nonsense, though. :biggrin.:

This log should be titled 'How to make pink imposing', that's an excellent model.

Thanks very much! I might have to steal that quote!

Exalted Champ looks great bud, I really like the idea of the black/silver bikes. Will be a nice change from the rest of the colour scheme. :tu:

It definitely has been nice to paint something with just one base colour. I'm really wanting to get them done and out the way so I can get onto my next project. You know the one!

Seriously jaw dropping work on that exalted champion, both conversion and paint job are stunning. Looking forward to seeing the bikes completed as well!

Thanks very much! I'm glad my Exalted Champion has received such positive responses. His journey has been an odd one, he started life as the Noxious Blightbringer model, then got converted into a Khorne Lord, then got re-converted into what he is now.

Awesome to see some paint! Also great to hear the champ got his first taste of battle. Hope he pleased Slaanesh with his performance!

He did very poorly! He managed to knock a few wounds off an Iron Warriors Sorcerer, but that's it. He died really quickly, but so did my whole army. I was tabled in 4 turns!

Good spot! I didn't think anyone would notice the different highlights on the guns. I just figured that they might be a bit too one coloured since I wasn't using any pink. I may have to repaint them once the riders are finished if they look a bit out of place. I actually did the same thing with the Exalted Champions gun casing and it turned out pretty good I think.

That really is a very vibrant pink! Nice work on the gem of the blade and plasma effect too.

Thanks very much! I didn't know what to do with the plasma effect, so I just made it up as I went.

You’ve really nailed that colour and made it your own. Sometimes I can’t truly tell if it’s pink or purple, and man does it ever pop! Really nice gray tones on the flesh too

Thank you! I've always found skin to be quite tricky to paint. It took a while I am pretty happy with the pale look I've come up with.

That was quick! Great work, the bikes are looking very nice too so looking forward to the finished product :tu:

Thanks WarriorFish, I should have some progress on the bikes to post up soon.

I'm a bit late to the party, but that champ is fantastic! The reverse-jointed legs are such a wonderful stealth surprise! Brilliant! :smile.:

Thanks very much!

The bikes are finished now.

Any thoughts on the guns? I've kept them black but highlighted them with different colours. Is it working with the colour scheme? Or should I go back to my ususal black colour scheme?

Also, I've picked up the main model for my next conversion.

Let the fun begin.
