I've had an idea that might be fun, seeing as there are a few of us interested in Necromunda here and in order to motivate us all a bit why not we combine our resources and make a B&C Underhive shanty town?

So basically each person can add a piece of terrain they want to make and add a little bit of history or even just make a gang or character based there?

Call it Bolt Town or something. People could makes stores, bars, pit fight arenas, local characters, do artwork, whatever takes your fancy. Just use it as motivation to make stuff.

I'm working on a small piece at the moment so can get the ball rolling tomorrow if anyone wants in?

That's a great idea! I'm working on a bar owned by a starting Genestealer cult, but my paintskills are lacking to make a sign for the bar. It might take a while.

Would 'The Happy Hybrid' be fitting name?

I have in mind to build an hybrid shanty market shop. It will be both a Dentist/Surgeon and a Butchers workshop; for your everyday needs. Organs, (human) meat, battle hospital and (space) viagra. Going to start it (I hope) when I'm done with the BCK's challenge :D

Madman or genius?

There is a very fine line between those two

This kit will be of so much use to you.

Found some old bits I might use for Dr Slum's Nurgle King Surgery and Delicatessen.

Ah good old hero quest terrain! Useful for so many things!

Loving all the terrain ideas! I may have to do a Club with a stage, so the Holograms can play :biggrin.: Either that or some kind of Escher Salon lol. I have 2 more gangers for you. Hope you likey!

Great looking minis! :) That Shotgun/Autopistol ganger is one of my fave Necromunda minis.

@Aiwass Thank you! I just wish there was  room for more leopard print lol. I was thinking of a kinda 1950's Diner theme. Of course there will be have to be a waitress :biggrin.:

@STD Ta duck! She's one of my favourite too! She could still do with some animal print though!

Re: Exotic weapon proliferation in the underhive.

What you need to remember about this is that the original Necromunda budded off from an incarnation of the setting that pre-dates the 'Chambers' era simplifications that so many community members are more familiar with. In second edition, literally every member of your marine assault team could casually deploy with meltabombs, a power fist, a power sword, a chainsword, a plasma pistol, a hand flamer, blind grenades, and his trust bolt pistol. Assault Sergeants thought little of raiding the armoury for a Vorted Grenade every game. Unless Virus was on offer and cavalier use of exterminatus grade weaponry felt appropriate. It was a real knee-jerk to go from that to the 3rd edition rule book list where they all had bolt pistol and chainsword. Two dudes might have plasma pistols and lucky sergeants got to tote powerfists.

So, the fact that with time and good management your gangleader could wind up with a powersword as a symbol of status was entirely inline with how much equipment was floating around the setting.

If inspiration aligns with opportunity I may yet actually do something with those half dozen sprues of bulkheads I picked up when they were liquidating the last of the Necromunda stock for cheap. Replace the card-board with a lamination of chek-plate texture sheet and a structural core and we might have something.

Made a dent in my first 2'x2' tile for Necromunda!  Im extremely excited to get my hands on the box hopefully by November if the rumors ive heard are correct.

Im adding details slowly and should be ready to paint in about a month or so...

But those pics don't take in account heels, also bases are off and different angles. That's really missleading.

The worst one is the last pic. The right Escher base isn't even properly located. There is also two cultists of the same range with different height. This doesn't mean different scale, just different heights.

Ofc, that GW changed their original 28mm heroic scale (which is a short term for whatever they want, as heroic in scale modeling means just badly proportioned) over the years, but this is not a scale change to 32mm or whatever.

Anyway, those pics are not accurate :P

Did you actually ecen look at the pics? Look at that last one, and then more specifically at the bottom lone. See what's aligned there? Each model's heel. Their actual foot's heel, not their boot's...

So yes, those pics DO take into account the models' heels, apparently better than you would have, since you seemed to be so focused on aligning the bases...

Did you? Because the last one didn't even is aligned with heels, but the ankles (and yet still misaligned) and those escher are matched differently than the first pic.

So yeah, whatever floats your goat, and please, keep away the passive aggressive attitude bruh.

Anyway, since I can't keep my cold turkey about the release, I'm throwing some random ash wasters/gangers here (need to buy superglue asap!). I'm afraid to build a gang without the rulebook, so I'll just going to make random peeps until the book drops and then make my gang (a multigender one, dunno which gang yet, but probably orlock or escher).

Yes, he seem's to have skipped some leg days but I believe that with some filing it would look better.

And a much simpler one, Jimmy.
