Anybody got any cool gang themes they were thinking of trying??

I was considering a Dia de los Muertos Goliath gang, blend the creepy in big time with the brawn and see what comes of it. Though that could be kind of interesting on a Van Saar gang too...

I have a few ideas but nothings getting done until I do my Venators gang. To get my mate into the game I might get a box of Harlequins for the long coats and use my Hybrid heads with goggles and kitbash a Delaque gang leaping around all Matrixy.

Thank you Slave to Darkness! :biggrin.: She's still a great miniature and really holds up well. I'm not old enough to have seen Jem and the Holograms when it was originally on, but my much older Sister has it on these weird black box things [VVD?]. Anyway the theme some is truly truly truly outrageous :biggrin.:

I think, of all the gangs, this idea would suit the Goliaths and the Delaques the best (what with the bare skin/heads). I'd love to see someone do this - preferably with bright colours (pink, yellow, light blue, light green, scarlet) or white. ^_^

I think thats one for Sister Alessia, all those bright colours would make my eyes bleed.

I went through my Necromunda collection last night, with a sharpie and my copy of the Specialist Games Catalogue.

I have both more, and less, than I thought (paradoxically).

I still need:

All the 'new' metal Orlocks, plus Orlock Heavy with heavy stubber, Orlock Heavy with flamer, Orlock Leader with meltagun, Orlock with stubber and pick; Orlock with lasgun 1.

New Goliath Champion 2, New Goliath Heavy 2, New Goliath 5, New Goliath Juves 1, 4, and 5; plus Goliath Leader with grenade launcher, Goliath Leader with meltagun, Goliath with lasgun and autopistol, Goliath with autogun and axe, Goliath Juve with stub gun, and both original Goliath Heavies.

All of House Delaque except Delaque with Lasgun 1.

All the Redemptionists (old and new).

All of House Cawdor.

All the 'new' Van Saar, Van Saar Leader with meltagun, Van Saar Heavy with heavy plasma gun, Van Saar Juve with autopistol, Van Saar Juve with stub gun and club; Van Saar with boltgun.

All the Pit Slaves.

All the 'new' Ratskins.

Bounty Hunter 1, New Bounty Hunter, New Bounty Hunter 1, New Bounty Hunter 2.

All the Enforcers (and probably all the old Adeptus Arbites ones too, even though they weren't actually strictly a Necromunda release).

All the new Scavvies, plus, Scavvy Boss 1 and 2, Scavvy with stub gun and knife, Scavvy with blunderbuss, Scavvy with autopistol and knife, Scavvy with autogun, Scavvy with shotgun 1, 2, and 3, Scavvy with stub gun and pick, both Scalies, Plague Zombies 1, 3 and 6.

Wyrd Pyrokinetic, Wyrd Beastmasters 1, 2, and 3 (and the Ripper Jacks, Giant Rats and Milliasaurs)

All the Spyrers.

The Caller on foot and on Giant Rat, the Redeemer and Malakev, Scabs and Kal Jerico, the Farseer, the Fire Dragon, and the Sniper.

Phew!

Set against that, I do have all the Escher and original Ratskin models (and multiples thereof) as well as all the Ash Wastes Gang. Quite a way to go though! :teehee:

I've actually still got Brakkar the Avenger, Mad Donna, a Ratskin Shaman and a Ratskin with a shotgun.  I painted them 20 years ago, of course, so I might need to touch them up a bit, but the highlighing on the woad and the stripes on the pants are something I can no longer do with these old eyes.  I'm sure they'd be worth something to a collector if I can find the right person.

Yeh it could really be something to behold if it was done well. I had base white for the whole way around the head in mind, with the faces done up with the colours you mentioned. It'd require some well managed detail but could be really astounding.

+edit+

Erm, post fail. I was supposed to be quoting and then replying to Olis' post from a few posts back.

Have a look at this and tell me you dont get the Munda feels...

http://altereddimensions.net/2012/kowloon-walled-city

A couple of pictures and some of those wordy things for those that cant be bothered looking.

Kowloon Walled City

Up until 1994, there existed, just north of Kowloon Bay, a bizarre city in Hong Kong named Kowloon Walled City. Over time the veritable lawless (and unclaimed by any government) Kowloon Walled City, became a curious stack of cheaply constructed boxes through which ran a maze of dark alleys and exposed pipe and wiring and housed drug dealers and addicts, pimps and prostitutes, organized gangs, gambling dens, criminal headquarters, and private citizens all living together in a tangled mess of humanity. Only 6 ½ acres in size, it contained over 30,000 people giving it a population density of over 1 million people per square mile, all living on top of each other in cheaply constructed dwellings with no electrical or water supply, in an enclosed and isolated city that even the federal police were afraid to enter.  In order to comprehend the bizarreness of Kowloon Walled City, you have to see it for yourself.

Yeah, Kowloon is indeed very dystopian, and extremely cyberpunk in it's appearance. I love it. Makes me wonder (if this edition of Munda doesn't have vehicles like GM) if it would be better played in a Zone Mortalis game type to represent the oppressiveness of the hive city.

I want to model a flesh market so badly.

How do you do the upper levels? Because what "annoys" me of the ZM boards is that the walls are too thick (not for a space hulk or a military complex) eating most of the space. I do think they may work as foundations or low level streets, but are way too big, both corridors and walls, to make proper alleys.

Dia de los Muertos theme would look amazing! And thanks for thinking of me Slave to Darkness, I would indeed enjoy all those bright colours :D

I'm actually toning my Escher down abit. One crazy chaotic colour ganger looked great, but as I started to paint more, it started to look more like a circus lol.

Don't get me wrong its still going to have lots or bright colours, just tied to the yellow armour and grey undersuit. I think my leopard print is looking rather fab though ;)

Speaking of circuses, I always intended to paint a Delaque gang up like a bunch of clowns. Patchwork coats in funky primary colours, face paint, the works. Gang leader modelled after Dr Whiteface of the Fools' Guild.

Dios de los Muertos Goliaths would look awesome. I did my current Goliath gang up as Classic Punks with tartan trousers, dyed mohawks and all that sort of stuff. Probably do the plastics up as some form of oiled-up musclemen.

@BrotherAiwass Yes ive got a thread in the wip forum :) I think I posted a couple of pics in this thread a couple pages back too!

I might do that with the new Goliath's as my guest gang! I think it would be a lot of fun, and totally cool!

I bet your punks looked ace General! Can't go wrong with big oily men though ;)
