As a suggestion for where to possibly place me: Probably the one that'll come under the most and/or require my possible healing the most.

So near Tyber then? Tyber is likely going to be tossing himself at a Warrior...

I guess. And since Mol basically confirmed that I can, indeed, use Scion of Sanguinius on Varvost, I'd also like him to be near me so that if it comes to it, Solastion and him can frenzy out and go full mudermode.

Nice, that's a handy little feature...

I think I've got a build over time I'm going to aim Tyber down the road for...

Melee Master (Power Weapon / Power Fist)

Counter attack

WS as far as I can push it

Parry +20

That set up would make for some amusement when fighting defensively against a master level foe for Tyber.

Still have to make it through this fight coming up... Warriors are nasty foes...

I don't have a real longterm goal for Solastion outside of becoming a !NotSanguinary Guard with (mainly because of #RuleOfCool):

  • Death Mask
  • Winged Jump Pack;
  • Angelus Bolter
  • Glaive Encarmine
  • Blood Chalice (because its can come in super clutch for 1FP at the level we'll be at where he can possibly get this)

Otherwise, I'll mainly be boosting Medicae and Int as hard as I can if/when I can to perform my primary job of keeping everyone alive better.

Xp spend will look something like this though is very subject to change:

Of ASAP importance:

  • Int Advance; Simple and Intermediate (700 total)
  • Perception Advance; Simple and Intermediate (700 total)
  • Medicae +10/20 (rank 2 and 3 Apothecary)
  • Protector of the Chapter; mainly for Talented (Medicae)

Both of these characteristic advances will bring me up to an unmodified 50 in either and its now that I'm SORTA regretting not putting my rolled 50 into Intelligence vs strength. But hey, Solastions a Buffboi and any advances that aren't either Weapon Skill, Intelligence or Perception are very expensive.

Having an SB of 13 in PA; 10 out of it might come in handy though as does the (literally) off-the-charts Carry/Lift/Push weights he has access to.

After that, as XP allows; in order of importance:

  • Intelligence; Trained (1000)
  • Intelligence; Expert (1500)
  • Weapon Skill; Simple (200)
  • Weapon Skill; Intermediate (500)
  • Perception; Trained (1000)
  • Perception; Expert (1500)
  • Weapon Skill; Trained (1000)
  • Weapon Skill; Expert (1500)

Then, in no particular order, I'm generally looking at the following; should the situation or xp allow them to be acquired:

  • Pilot (any) (Rank 3 General)
  • Hardy (Errata'd to 100xp for Apoths) or, more likely, Autosanguine. (Rank 1 Apothecary)
  • Reason and Will (gotta resist the Black Rage and be a paragon of the chapter!)
  • Mental Ascension and/or Jaws of Intellect
  • Duty onto Death (Sanguinary Priest)
  • Command if required since Sanguinary Priest allows me to take this at rank 1+ instead of rank 2+ unlike those using the General Advance table
  • Tech-Use since I'll also have a decently high int; might come in handy. (Rank 3 Apothecary)
  • Forbidden Lore: Adeptus Astarted and/or Mutants (Sanguinary Priest)
  • Scholastic Lore: Legends (Sanguinary Priests)
  • Demolition (Rank 2 General) so that suicide by meltabomb doesn't happen.
  • Signature Wargear as appropriate.

Thats more or less the "idea" i have going for Solastion if he existed in a Vacuum; as the adventure unfolds, things might change though.

Slips (and whom ever else may be interested),

Full Disclosure on the build plan for Tyber:

WS target: 60

BS target: 60

Dodge +20

Parry +20

Counter Attack

Master of Blades (power weapon / power fist or Thunderhammer)

First Company Vet

Death Watch Captain or Death Watch Champion (depends on how he grows over time)

I love the way that master of blades lets you play with swapping out weapon profiles... it can just start some hilarious things, a Power Sword that hits like a Power Fist or Thunderhammer for a round is just awesome and funny.

Not sure what way I'm going to wander with my build - I have plans of course, mostly narrative.  If that comes off I shall be happy.  Just enjoying playing instead of running the thing.

That's why I have a big gun.  I want to get to the next chapter! :teehee:

Come on Dos, I'm chewing my damn keyboard in anticipation!

MR.

Sorry folks, I've had some unexpected issues to deal with this afternoon/evening. I've got a draft done which I hope to polish up and finish by lunchtime tomorrow.

Woo! time to go get my backside kicked by a Warrior!

Lets see if I can tie one up for a round or two, while the rest of the group puts down that horde as fast as possible...

Don't go rushing off you great big block of murder-hobo, wait until the big guns clear them out first - I don't want to be emptying your brain pan with a 25mm alker-seltzer if I miss!

See a page or so back, Tyber could use a good Sargent to reel himself in...

Call for a known squad pattern, and he'll hold himself back for a bit... that being said, he's not going to be super useful for a while... need to be with in 30m to be reasonably effective, even 31-60m I might be okay thanks to the size of the horde... Tyber really shines in CQB though.

First actions of Round 1 are up. I'm at my work computer so I can't update the map at the moment, but I will endeavour to do so asap. Still though, the likes of Daon, Atratus, Vaidan and Tyber should be able to declare actions.

CM, I did a quick glance of the post, I'll try to get something up either today or tomorrow...

Those Humans are in the Emperor's hands now, that Mag 28 horde is going to murder them hard and fast...

Atratus planned action -

Holding his position Atratus will cover his brothers advance into position with sniper fire, targeting the front-most warrior.

Aim and single shot action

25 to hit, 8+5+5 damage +4 = 22 total damage, Pen 7, felling. Going to take a fair few of those to bring a warrior down...

Oh ouch... I forgot about that felling

That is going to be murder on the Warriors....
