Yeah, unfortunately the board's software is glitchy and I can't edit my posts on my work computers. I have to edit them on the phone, which makes it a little annoying. As of this post, Mazer hasn't rolled his dice for the Round 5 attack, but assuming he (likely) kills it then I will remove the reference to the charge - and technically Tyber could reallocate actions for Round 5.

Would if I could Nine, but my phone was built by JCB in 1705.

Now, I have dice and the enemies of the Emperor fear many things, discovery, defeat and death.  But what they fear most is the Wrath of the Space Marines!

Marmalade time!

Okay, so, our first true proper retcon!

Mazer's turn five will kill Tyranid Warrior 5. That means Nycax won't shoot at it, and would instead (I assume) activate Burst of Speed and move 30ish metres. It does mean that Steel Company can reallocate Round 5 rather than throwing the grenade. I will allow you to organise before I re-update. It will mean some editing of posts.

This really a flurry of blows!

Thanks for the heads up on Squad Mode...I left my last post a bit open for that reason. So yes, Sabaan will probably advance as a clade of one here (if I am reading this right, Warrior 5 will be dead now?)

I'll have Sabaan realizing he slipped into old routines in my next post - and will surely add some considerations on what a lousy stand in Akkad makes for a true Son of Ferrus Manus.

We mopped up the lower corridor quite nicely there! Now to rescue our beleaguered brothers!

Mol, the reason solastion hit he horde three times by my count is due to him htting once with his intial attack and succeeding, once again for 2 DoS the a third time for 4 DoS but not a forth time for 6 DoS.

But from what I can tell from the rulebook, it's not 1+DoS, it's just flatly DoS!

That means it's up to you GM ;)

I can see why it's just  aflat DoS though - they can't dodge (although some Hordes can...) you can't dodge and a Marine is a chopping, slewing, sewing machine of slaughter, striking with blade, knee, elbow and head, reaping lives at every turn.

Plus the fact if they don't get DoS they die horribly to big gribbly hordes of spikey, pokey, stabby beasties.

Your call chief!

I see it as being poorly worded...

To me it doesn't make much sense to ignore a normal hit, as any other example where DoS determines number of hits always add the required number of DoS to the base hit.

That being said, if you want to run it as pure DoS only, then it sucks to be an Assault Marine....:dry.:

Edit:

Just cleaning up the words and spelling a bit.

Edited by Steel Company

I have decided that it will be Hit + DoS, and have amended.

I have edited the last post and re-started Round 6, so we can all declare actions appropriately.

Sounds good CM!

CM, I changed my end of Round 5 to reflect the changes to Akkad mowing down Warrior #5 that would've happened before Tyber tossed the Grenade... During Turn 5 he joined with Atartus, when Atartus initiated Squad mode, Tyber charged the closest Horde using Wrathful Decent for a whopping 11 Mag damage between hits and the 1d10 from Wrathful Decent... During Round 6, that's when he goes all choppy-stabby on the Horde... I'll move his round 6 stuff to closer to his go, if that makes things cleaner.

On second thoughts, even if it is alive someone else will kill him.

Mol: by my estimate, the last surviving Armsman is about 20m away. Would you allow Vaidan to cover that distance and shield the survivor with his body/armour/mass as one full action? (Vaidan's full running distance is 24m)

Yes, readying a weapon is a half action!

Not so, Space Marines have Quick Draw, they can ready a Pistol/Basic/One handed Melee as a Free Action.  Putting Cadence away - Half Action as she's Heavy.  Grenades do not count for Quick Draw as they have their own action: Ready Grenade.

Nine - your stuff is so good, mine is like a trashy tabloid compared to it.  Masterful sir.
