@ Dos, recently got into Retrosynthwave - really cool stuff.

BTW @ Steel, anyone who disagrees with the Empire is Rebel Scum. ;)

Some excellent suggestions here.  We all know however, that really - this is what we need:

Would you like to know more?

There are are some great suggestions there but I agree. Mol takes it fair and Square!

I have the second wall of text fighting the craft to lift off here but I am too tired, so I will leave this here and put up the rest tomorrow.

Uh oh, ninjaed....

I need to go over that anyway, so if you want to move things along, do. go ahead. So far it's mostly moaning about how we are never going to make it in time and watching the ship fall apart around us ;)

I can surely work enough of it into my next post - so you don't have to wait until I finish the manual regarding launching a space shuttle in blank disregard of established safety features!

I've got something, but it might be better used for a decent through the atmosphere... provided there is no real combat to be expected... It's a long flight down after all... 350km for an earth sized planet (that's Ionosphere to surface)....

Dos, love what you put up, kind of curious how things are going to play out between Tyber and Vaidan... That being said, Tyber sees the mortals as a useful tool, to get do what they cannot or provide a useful distraction to their real target later. Think of them as ablative armour....:whistling:

And for the record, I once had a D&D character buy 50 sheep to herd through a dungeon, just to clear it of traps... the fact that I had mutton to sell back to the town afterwards was a happy accident.

Cheers, SC. :tu:

Vaidan is adamant the resources given to him and the Kill Team are sufficient to fulfill their mission. Mortals, in this case and with the exception of Ryken, are an unnecessary burden and distraction. Now they are quickly becoming an obstacle and the Novamarine is no doubt thinking about how to best remove it...

Respectable thought process, just as seeing the mortals as found additional resources is. Make it an order or get Tyber to some how think they are not loyal to the throne and he'll likely go along with it, with out a second thought.

As it stands he see Ryken as an unnecessary risk, that thus far provided nothing useful to the mission at large.... as are most inquisitors and their underlings...:ph34r.:

Unrelated: had a stab at making our Kill Team using the recently-released Kill Team rules. Not as accurate as I'd like it to be but it's a start. :tu:

looks pretty good to me Dos, model wise, I've been toying with trying to Kit-bash Tyber using a Primaris as a base to get the size... the tricky part has been trying to find swords that I like the look of enough to see if they would look good... Jump-pack can wait on that one...

Vanguard kit Relic Blade.  Hmm, OTOH might be a toothpick in Tyber's paws

Puh, I Managed to get that second half of the post up in time!

Now, to infinity and beyond!

Good stuff Xin, you pull of that archeo-tech arcana stuff really well!

Size wise I think a relic blade might be about right, they look to be hand an a half swords, give it an almost oily black finish and it would be spot on for his arming sword at least.... 'cept for the Aquila...

Looking forward to Akkad and Vaidan's "chat":happy.:

I acquired a HAAH recently.  Big lump metal.  Got myself a mid-medieval period flanged mace as well.

Likes me a nice mace.  Most if not all my Veteran Sergeant Astral Claws have them.

Me too, I want to read that... also intterested in seeing the chat between Vaidan and Tyber about Stormbirds... and other things that are nearly legend to most chapters.

Regarding the discussions, despite how long it takes us to get anywhere due to the constraints of play-by-post, it would be great if we had some post-mission downtime to have our characters discuss stuff and strengthen the bonds that bind them.

Along those lines Dos, I've got something written up for Tyber thinking on the last few moments on the ship, and how Graysight left to go and follow Akkad on his own.... also leads into him considering the nature of politics, command and his place in the order of things, questioning if his quest for command is really what he wants.... he's got to have something to think about during the 350km-ish trip from ionosphere to surface...:biggrin.: It also has him weighing possible outcomes of confronting Graysight about it, all of them seem to have bad outcomes as far as he can tell.
