yeah part of the reason I've now subscribed was I was fed up getting to Smiths or Tesco and they'd all sold out! I can't be arsed traipsing round Pompey and the surrounding area for a magazine lol! Also some of them a re selling out quickly on the website too and I think I'll save on postage as well.

I have a local guy in the UK who orders in for me and so far I haven't missed one I wanted an extra of. Luckily I have an easy to build redemptor already and just brought the full version off ebay for £18. Rhinos on the other hand are something my wife wants alot of due to starting a Sisters army. I am honestly more interested in the cheap terrain now to make my table look fuller.

Something making me lean back towards the idea of big kits being split over multiple issues is that it would really suck if I, as a subscriber who's committed to the entire collection have to pay £32 for a 4-issue delivery that contains a single Repulsor, but any random could just walk into a Smiths and buy the whole thing for £8 without the 3 "tax" issues. Interesting to see how it's done; I guess we'll find out for sure in 4 weeks or so.

I'm beginning to question myself on how they're going to do the Repulsor... It's a 3 sprue kit, so unless they're going to make a whole new set of Repulsor sprues specifically for this magazine run (which I doubt), it may only be spread over three issues, which potentially means we could get an issue with no extras at all!

I guess we can only speculate so much though, but we'll be waiting quite a while with it being scheduled towards the very end of the run.

Pretty sure that's most people's feeling about Pompey, regardless of whether they are looking for a magazine or not ;)

Now now sir I’ll have you know there’s some nice parts to my fair city.

With regards to bigger kits split over multiple issues - I think this will definitely be the case; have there been any issues so far where there has been more than one sprue with it?  Every one that I've bought has only had one sprue.  So I think the Redemptor Dread, Rhino, and Repulsor will definitely be spread over the course of as many weeks as there are sprues.

I know the Rhino has two sprues, assuming the Redemptor has two as well, and I not there's four weeks for the Repulsor so I'm assuming that has 4 sprues.

Yes, it is a pain for casual people (like me) who just pop in and buy the odd issue a their local Smiths/supermarket/newsagent if there's something on it that looks worth getting (and it's available..!) - I can see those issues selling quick.  I wouldn't mind getting 2-3 Rhinos at that price, so I think I'll just order them direct from Hachette to be on the safe side.

Problem is you cannot order and wait to send them all together as they sell out fast, so if you want to buy from Hachette you need to buy them singualary every week and that postage will make the Rhino the same price as buying it from the store.

There has been multiple sprues already, the Primaris Librarian had two. The Redemptor dreadnought has three sprues and we know it only has two issues to be covered in(We have verified that it can only come in 24 and 25 from the back page issue pictures).

Simple - free postage on orders over £25, buy 4 issues of each :biggrin.:  I did say I wanted a few Rhinos... :teehee:

Right, but at that point you're barely making a saving at all. If it's split across 2 issues, and assuming you can even get a matching number of the first and second issues so you don't end up with half a kit, that's £15.98 per Rhino. You can get full kits new for a smidge more than that price from third party retailers.

Now if it's on a single issue and it's a Rhino for £8, that's a whole different matter.

Indeed, whether it's in one issue or over two will be a huge swaying factor.  The cheapest I can get a Rhino at one of my local 3rd party sellers is £18, so two pennies short of £16 is still a saving on that, if it is over the two issues.

If they want you to be able to even build it that first week you need the two main sprues. I would think they will split it up so that you get the main body the first week and the hatches and accessories the second week.
