Xanthier
Thanks! It's not too bad making and painting titans over the weekend, longest part is painting trim. Spent a couple of hours on my wife's Reaver, got it mostly done - just weapons, eyes and base to go. Fajita Fan
Whoa! That’s like almost the exact scheme I was going for! That looks great. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/356359-legio-gloriam-the-honour-bound/page/2/#findComment-5328838 Share on other sites
splayedpaintbrush
Can't believe how fast you painted that/those! Great work too Edited June 9, 2019 by splayedpaintbrush Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/356359-legio-gloriam-the-honour-bound/page/2/#findComment-5328860 Share on other sites
Fajita Fan
So since I’m going for the same look if I just slip mine onto his desk... Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/356359-legio-gloriam-the-honour-bound/page/2/#findComment-5328873 Share on other sites
Xanthier
Well I certainly wouldn't mind free titans... Had some painting time tonight so finished up the first titan of my wife's opposing Legio. Pretty pleased with the orange missiles, I think they stand out nicely. Also, shrubbery. Fajita Fan
Seeing that makes me so happy that my titans will look cool. Color choice is some I reeeeeaaaaallly struggle with. I get paint paralysis because I can’t pick a scheme. Chaeron
Great work Xanthier - so neat and consistent! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/356359-legio-gloriam-the-honour-bound/page/2/#findComment-5333764 Share on other sites
Gillyfish
Missiles and shrubbery both look very nice. And look, I avoided any Monty Python references... Fajita Fan
Which green is that for your other ones? I’m thinking of a teal/magenta/gold trim scheme for my loyalists. Xanthier
Cheers everyone! It's been a hectic week so no additional painting on titans per se, but I do have 2 more Warhounds at the assembled and primed silver stage. The green is Kabalite Green, shaded with black, highlights in Sybarite Green. Fajita Fan
I thought it was kabalite. It’s cool that out of the two legios you’re painting I had very similar schemes in mind. Xanthier
Been a while since I painted titans as I've been doing other stuff, but knocked out a warhound today from Legio Sinae Alsalam - The Peace Makers. Here's Taesib - Prejudice Parweke, Captain Idaho, Cpt. Bannockburn and 3 others 6 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/356359-legio-gloriam-the-honour-bound/page/2/#findComment-5337318 Share on other sites
Fajita Fan
So I’ll trade you a really nice unpainted Reaver for that one. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/356359-legio-gloriam-the-honour-bound/page/2/#findComment-5337336 Share on other sites
Reyner
How are you doing the white? It looks really good. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/356359-legio-gloriam-the-honour-bound/page/2/#findComment-5337642 Share on other sites
Mandragola
I love how you can roll out a finished engine in a day or less, and at such a Hugh standard. I can turn our squads of my Crimson Fists. Somehow the titans take much longer. Xanthier
Cheers guys! The white is really simple - corax white spray, panel lining with agrax wash. You can shade it with very, very diluted wash too. Xanthier
Well thanks to a very erratic sleeping pattern due to recent illness, yet another Warhound is done. Darbat Qawig, Mighty Blow, of Legio Sinae Alsalam, the Peace Makers. (I did notice the plasma was out of focus, but eh...) Fajita Fan
It’s a small detail but your trim is so nicely done, I really struggle with keeping it even. Xanthier
Cheers guys! The trim takes me the longest, simply because it needs to be neat, it can feel like a drag. So here was a fun one! A while back I asked around about the Thundercoil Harpoon from one of the 40k knights, and the consensus was it was too big. fair enough really - so, I cut it down.I didn't decrease the width as the details would have been a headache, but I was able to saw out a good couple of cm from the middle and end cap, resulting in what I think fits very well! I put the harpoon, knight fist and Warden-style ead all on Nivea Regna's body and the pose just fits. So, when the issue is getting into range to punch things? Bring them to you!I enjoyed several of the little details on this harpoon gun - the traffic light warning lights on the side, adding a face and so on, overall it's just a fantastic fun weapon. noigrim, Captain Semper, Captain Idaho and 5 others 8 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/356359-legio-gloriam-the-honour-bound/page/2/#findComment-5341392 Share on other sites
splayedpaintbrush
That's ace! It does look ever so slightly too wide for my tastes but, you gotta coil all that super heavy gauge chain somewhere! I also think it looks nicely balanced with the Knight's thunderstrike gauntlet, on the opposite hand, which is a bit bigger than the normal warlord fist if I remember right Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/356359-legio-gloriam-the-honour-bound/page/2/#findComment-5341509 Share on other sites

Fajita Fan
Awesome! I wanted to do a harpoon too when saw that used to be a weapon in the old AT. I'm working on ursas claws for Warhounds and an Ordo Sinister gun for a Warlord.
