While that may be true, but with a 30-ish percent chance of making the check without knowing the mods, I'll avoid it when I can... especially over a leech.

I can find bigger things if you like? ;)

I am honestly astonished at how high my med skill is every time it comes up.

Yeah, I was thinking that too - it's almost Astartes level healing.  Really well put together.

I must admit it's kind of down to my lack of experience with the system as to wat you guys can take/deal with, and the fact it's a one-shot, so I'm not pushing too hard, although we're coming up to a bit of a step up in difficulty, so we'll see how it goes.

Feel free to drop your experiences, advice and whatever thoughts you have in here.

You never know, I might run a sequel...

Is the website broken for anyone else? Like it's got no formatting for me in Firefox...

Huh... just posting here fixed it...

Mentioned in the Bug Reports thread.

@ Beren - Stimms would prefer Orks, you say....

Does Halbast get a suggestion? ;p

I've been thinking about this and as player reward (kinda), and to make my life simpler, all Players receive the following talents:

The Good, The Bad, The Desperate:

We have to make use of whatever fate gives us.  It's the only way we'll get off this rock.

Platoon Commander Garrad McDread, 101st Penal Legion. (Judge)

  • A character with this talent may, upon passing an Intelligence Test, learn any weapon group or sub-group, for any weapon that they do not currently possess, as long as they have witnessed an example of its use.

This Moon is a Harsh Mistress:

Orks is green, and so is dey trees, but you can smell the bad 'uns, the fungus men.  If yer quick.

Abhuman Specialist Vratthogg, 101st Penal Legion.  (Lughead).

  • Any character with this talent counts as having +2 to Initiative rolls.

Might help a bit?

I'm expecting the Midshipmen to make a comment about it and blow the mystery about her background.

I also think those rewards look good.

Now, about the area, would Scarlett be able to get a full round aim to call shot on one of the Orkz for the suprise round, or would it be limited to a half aim?

Be a half-aim only I'm afraid as you spent time getting into position.

There are three Kommandos, A (18m), B (21m) and C (23m) all engaged, wearing their crude armour and behind small logs, foliage etc giving +4 armour points to everything below the waist.

Okay, I suggest we focus on A first.

I'll get my actions in this morning when I've got time to write it up...

Edit:

Taking a quick look at the rules, I forgot how nice it is to be a space marine... Called shots are a full round action for mortals.

Looks like I either have to go with:

Standard attack + half aim + Size + Short range + BS = about TN 80

or

BS + Size + Short Range - Called Shot = about TN 40

I already know she's going to put her gun into overload setting for the +2 damage and +2 Pen, even if it eats 4 shots out of the 60 in the pack, and will jam on a 91+

Well, let's see what the dice gods will, when I have a chance to roll and write.

Yep, any time you want to go is up to you, Player Agency is important.  :smile.:

EDIT: The others won't notice you've gone as they're in combat, so there won't be any tests or anything, just RP your bug out.
