Sword Brother Adelard
The BladeGuard squad in the video reveal, are in a squad of 5. I hope that transfers into the rules as well. I would happily buy another box of 3, and make up another two to round up to 5, and have the third to make a second Castellan. redmapa
Assault Intercessor Sergeants can take power weapons! Not surprising but good to get conffirmation, time to put thunder hammers on my squad! Â Also bikes were not mentioned as getting a full kit, seems like they are staying as ETB models for a while. painting.for.my.sanity 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/364086-the-big-9th-edition-room/page/37/#findComment-5599856 Share on other sites
Marshal Reinhard
Also saw handflamers, so maybe we'll see the entire option list for normal intercessors sergeants in that kit. Â Bladeguard seem to have access to chooms, so it wasn't a one off for the Castellan. Sword Brother Adelard
I just hope the full datasheet for indom lieutenants allows you to take two, as with all of the other lieutenant datasheets. Then, between the multi-part kit and the existing Indomitus Lt, you could have two unique BladeGuard Lieutenants Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/364086-the-big-9th-edition-room/page/37/#findComment-5599899 Share on other sites
Medjugorje
but honestly - i fear that the heavy intercessors will destroy the whole game... Marshal Valkenhayn
With updated Chaos Daemons nowhere in sight, I'm probably going to be dusting off my Templars for this first bit of 9th. Looking forward to seeing what sort of mischief I can get up to. The boys at the shop really want to start up a big territorial map campaign for Crusade. SirJyo
When I saw the preview tagline "suffer not the alien to live" and saw black power armor, my heart skipped a beat. Banjulhu
Maybe we should curb our enthusiasm and hope for more realistic goals in the near future like maybe having a picture of at least one Black Templar model in the new codex. Medjugorje
what are your thoughts about the three (just 3) new Supplements. I am very sure that the Dark Angels will get their Supplement next year very early but why just then? I dont think they release the Dark angels alone without a reason  - could it be that they split the extra Supplements into 2 waves ( first wave SW, DW, BA and secound wave DA and BT?) It would make sense for a new unit in a more "knightly style" - a new primarch comes back? - a campaign with a big chaos releas (including the Fallen) vs the Dark Angels.  I have a feeling its part 1 Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/364086-the-big-9th-edition-room/page/37/#findComment-5602560 Share on other sites
Marshal Reinhard
Not going down that path again. Â Only when Faith and fury (and the rest of the psychic awakening) is explicitly to be outdated / obsolete, will I expect them to do anything. and then only the bare minimum. painting.for.my.sanity 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/364086-the-big-9th-edition-room/page/37/#findComment-5602562 Share on other sites
Sword Brother Adelard
Well, it will be slightly obsolete on day one of codex release, as the datasheet for the Crusader Squad will have the wrong chainswords and wrong wounds. Marshal Reinhard
Could be FAQ'd? But, maybe it's enough to get them to do something? And then its a further leap to expect that something to actually do us right for once. Sword Brother Adelard
It absolutely will be FAQ'd on the day. (At least, it better!)My (albeit admittedly very slim) hope, is that GW don't seem to like leaving current units utilising datasheets which people don't have to pay for in some shape or form, (White Dwarf or Book) or living solely on an FAQ.  So, it leaves an option for them to put that datasheet elsewhere, hopefully another supplement.  What mainly goes against the notion of a new supplement, is the fact that unless the Eavy Metal and Army Painter teams have been busy painting away since the point in time Max Feleij painted the single Templar Bladeguard, GW will not have an up to date Primaris Black Templar army to showcase in any new supplement, I can't see them managing to produce a decent spread of plates using the small amount of models we have seen time and time again. SydonianDragoon404
With the new change that just announced regarding CORE units, I wonder if this will make Chapter Masters less of an auto-take and perhaps also shift Fervent Acclimation from its current auto-take status. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/364086-the-big-9th-edition-room/page/37/#findComment-5602788 Share on other sites
