Thanks Pearson73! I thought that as the artillery and crew are now counted as one unit I could base them without fear of seeming a bit gamey!

 

It also made it more fun for me modelling and painting wise, I’m pleased with them and I’m glad you liked them.

 

 

Slave to Darkness, haha! It’s purely about looks, we still live and die by His Will!!

Its one of the best looking tanks GW has done Id say, mind you that doesnt mean much when a lot of their vehicles are hit or miss with me. 

 

Totally agree with the basing of the artillery, it looks good, kinda like a mini diorama and its hella fun to do.

The whole “mini diorama” thing is definitely what inspired me to base them.

 

As for the Malcadors I must admit I’m drawn to the Malcador Infernus! A giant flame tank, what’s not to like!?!

 

First though I need to add some boots on the ground.

So this week I’ve been working on my second squad of Combat Engineers!

 

Thanks to the “Sappers” special rules these lads can pop up anywhere even without the Hades Breaching Drill!

 

Hopefully they’ll add some more deployment and action shenanigans for my army!

I know there’s no rules for a Deathrider Banner but after seeing this icon in my brother’s Indomitus box I just had to use it!

 

This model is the start of my first Deathrider Command Squad I’ll update when the other 3 are finished.

Excellent work. Is the skeleton on the banner that of a Death Rider who was martyred on the battlefield, and posthumously honored in a manner that allows him to bear witness as his brothers-in-arms fight on in his name?

Thanks Brother Captain Vakarian! I saw it and just had to use it. I think it’s a bit top heavy but fits with the grim Krieg range.

 

Bjorn Firewalker, cheers! Yeah I was thinking he was Marius Konstantin’s predecessor. (Marius is my Marshal) He fought bravely and so has been immortalised on his previous unit’s standard. (Krieg are renowned for their fatalism)

 

I may have to write some fluff for this Regiment. I quite enjoyed thinking of a backstory!

Life has been crazy busy so these lads have taken longer than I would’ve thought, still they’re done.

 

Blue Company is moving forward so that’s the main thing.

Duz_ Cheers, they’re coming along slowly. I’m hoping to have my first 2k list ready for battle by the end of the summer! I enjoy the painting so I can wait. How’s the Macharius Vanquisher going? Don’t remember seeing an update.

It’s taken me ages to finish this Platoon Command Squad.

 

There’s so much detail and character to this squad I really enjoyed them.

I’ve mounted the Junior Officer on a 32mm hopefully no one will mind, I wanted to continue adding extra features on the bases.

The army is getting nicely sized with vehicles, artillery, cavalry and infantry/commanders :)

Do you have anything else planned for the DKoK once you finish the Medusas?

The junior officer looks good on a 32, it gives some more space for decorating the base and it really makes the officer recognizable from afar.
