The Pounder
Thanks Pearson73! I’m currently working on my Tyranids project but will back on the Krieg soon. palladian_guardsman
Thanks Pearson73! I’m currently working on my Tyranids project but will back on the Krieg soon. Next up will be another Earthshaker Carriage. We are His shovel! Hi, hope you don't mind me asking but I found your DKoK while image searching for inspiration. Have you done a tutorial for the infantry, or could you share the basic colours/method you used? I'd like to emulate the scheme when my plastic Kill Team DKoK arrive. Thanks in advance. walter h and The Pounder 2 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/366917-death-korps-of-krieg-3rd-siege-regiment-blue-company/page/8/#findComment-5731064 Share on other sites
The Pounder
Hello and welcome, Palladian_Guardsman! Thanks very much! I’m rather flattered. I’m happy to share my recipe with you. For the Greatcoat I base coat with Mechanicus Standard Grey, washed with Agrax Earthshade, reapply MSG, first highlight Dawnstone and final highlight Administratum Grey. For armour, equipment etc base coat of Vallejo WW2 German Field Grey, washed with AES, reapply the GFG highlight with Vallejo Green Grey and final highlight of Nurgling Green. That’s pretty much it! Any more questions, just ask. Good luck with the painting and don’t forget to post some pics when you’re done. We are His shovel. Good luck with the painting and don’t forget to post some pics when you’re done. We are His shovel. Hi mate, thank you! Really appreciate that - I'm just getting back into the hobby (lured by plastic Kriegers) so hints and tips like this are great, and it's such an incredible scheme. I used to dream of armies like this when I was a kid (and couldn't afford FW) so hopefully I'll finally have the chance to do a decent force of them. Thanks again, and don't worry, pics will follow! duz_ and The Pounder 2 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/366917-death-korps-of-krieg-3rd-siege-regiment-blue-company/page/8/#findComment-5731613 Share on other sites
The Pounder
No trouble at all! I’ve been in love with the Krieg since they were first released! (I think it was 5th edition) This iteration of my Krieg is definitely my favourite one. Looking forward to seeing your interpretation of the scheme! We are His shovel. The Pounder
I’m finally back working on my Death Korps of Krieg! I’ve added an Autocannon to the squad (probably a waste of pts but I think it looks cool!) This time I thought I’d try and add a bit of variety and character to the unit, so I gave the Watchmaster a bionic arm. I’m now halfway through the Infantry I own. WarriorFish
Half way is a notable achievement, you can probably reward yourself with some more models for it... that's how it works, right? Keep up the excellent work Jud :tu: The Pounder and Pork Chop Express 2 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/366917-death-korps-of-krieg-3rd-siege-regiment-blue-company/page/8/#findComment-5740116 Share on other sites

The Pounder
Thanks to Bjorn Firewalker and Tallarn Commander! WarriorFish, that’s exactly how it works!! I’ll probably get some reinforcements in October. I have to tackle my pile of shame first though. I know the Guard aren’t in the best position in 9th but are Chimeras or Hellhounds any good? The Pounder
Back with another big gun! This is my second Earthshaker Carriage, so only one left after this one! The Pounder
Thanks Bjorn Firewalker! Duz_ Cheers! The Priest is from the Aestred Thurga kit in the Adeptus Sororitas range. I wasn’t happy with the fact the model didn’t have a gas mask so I head swapped it with an Orlock ganger head I think it has that sort of stance that just screams “you shall not pass!!” with his symbol of office held out before him. Thanks again for the interest! The Pounder
Well I made use of my voucher for Warhammer+ subscription! Sadly I couldn’t use it on Forgeworld so I got myself a Hellhound! I’m thinking of giving it a Multimelta. Is it worth the 10pts? They look like it on paper. WarriorFish
The hull mount has gone up and down in fortune over the editions; currently on the up I think. No movement penalty on a mobile tank is nice and MMs hit hard - not a bad deal for 10pts I think :) The Pounder 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/366917-death-korps-of-krieg-3rd-siege-regiment-blue-company/page/8/#findComment-5748619 Share on other sites
