I definitely see your point; my assumption was that narratively Lysimachus has other plans and then it comes down to his GMing style and what he will allow.

Necronaut - rather than spending your fate point, use the Traveller's once-per-round re-roll.

Done and done!

Alright, kept the to-hit and damage rolls as they are but have re-allocated the shooting to the Ogryn (which is now dead.)

EDIT: As I'm writing this post I'm realising - shouldn't Ogryn have a bonus to hit due to size? This is relevant to Vesalius's close combat as well as the number of shots my SABs could have achieved...

Gah, yep Hulking, which I'd put on my stat sheet and promptly forgot because on Astartes you don't get the bonus! So feel free to add +10 to Hit on any/all of those rolls!

Edit: Don't think it makes any odds to Vesalius, as it's only 1 attack with the Shears regardless?

Rolls made, decided to go with another frag grenade as it looked like that would do the most magnitude damage.

Can I move after throwing a grenade?

In the north east corner there appears to be another exist northwards (aside from the doors that the Princeling went through), would this be worth heading for instead of following directly?

Yep, throwing a grenade is a Half Action Standard Attack, so you can do another Half Action Move, which I think for Brynjarr is 5m.

As to the door, might be worth trying your stolen security idents... once the battle is finished, anyway!

Ok, Thanks both. Just wanted to check as I wasn’t sure if grenades needed to be readied/primed for a half action before being thrown as I think I have only thrown them as part of Bolter Assault actions so far. In that case Brynjarr will move 5 m north from his current position, will edit.

Do you mean like a catastrophic failure mechanic? I know some RPGs use that, but I don't think DW does... except maybe weapon jams?

Anyway, it was only 1 wound from his pistol so not major injury to worry about! :)

Before we go ahead, can we take a moment. Meant to do a post/placeholder but was too busy today.

Downstairs there was a second exit leading to an airlock/dock. I had intended to put a placeholder to investigate further. Hoping that if this was the princelings private mooring that there may be a second way into the state rooms as I assume he would not want to walk out into the common area to get to his private shuttle and that therefore is another airlock from the state room.

Sorry Tro, I thought everyone was ready to move on.

Hmm, that's true that Von Caeryd might want to get in and out of Elysium without passing through that main audience hall hold. I don't think there would be more than one set of stairs up into the command spire though…

So… if you want to write a post to that effect, somewhere as you go down that corridor will be another secure door on your right hand side. After getting through it, whether by ident or something else (Power axe?) you find a short accessway that leads back into the stairwell that climbs up to the bridge/Staterooms, where you can rejoin the team?

No worries, and thanks, will do. I had meant to place a placeholder and just found myself with too little time, and then I came home and saw things had moved on and panicked while half asleep. By all means continue, I’ll do the story bit at the beginning of my next post.

There may not be a lot anyone needs/wants to say about passing through the Command centre...?

If that's the case I'll update us into the staterooms either later tonight or tomorrow am UK time.

Feel free to shove a placeholder in if there was something you did want to add (any particular orders to Holger and/or the Auxiliaries, thoughts about completing the mission, etc, etc?)

If it doesn't look like we'll need that last meltabomb Odysseus may option it and take a walk outside via the shuttle hatch. If any more shuttles try to escape they'll be in for a surprise...

(or he'll blow himself up trying to arm it)

Edited by A.T.

Melta Bombs can only be used against stationary objects, yeah? So it will be going spare!

Just don't forget that Brynjarr has told Achard he should bring in any extra specialists (to take over duties in the Command centre) directly to that hatch... ;)

My understanding was that there was no vessel in this small dock, and I described it as such. So unless it was stealthed I don’t think we need to booby-trap this direction (though it had occurred to me earlier as well). Save the meltabomb for now, in case the stateroom has an inner vault or some such.

The thought was that Atratus could teleport onto the hull of a fleeing ship if he was outside. Without demolitions he'd be a danger to himself though.
