I have only 10 oathbreakers, Sibo has 11... Some errors crept in last night. For instance, the OP didn't have a record of Dangerman's 4th vow, so I hadn't looked for its completion when I did the check. It also didn't have Ronin_cse's vow at all. I have added that in.

 

What it does mean, is that Dangerman and Lord Blackwood take two prizes, and we need to work out how to do the others.

Where we differ is interesting. Sibo has a line for Sufficient Anonymity vowing 656 points on 4th Nov. But I don't think it counts as a vow:

I just missed it on my first pass. I think you had the most points even with the first two!

 

What you have avoided by completing all your vows is any weirdness where the highest points prize went to an eventual oathbreaker!

I did make an error there. I wrote a remark on the paper and then didn't notice it during the edits to the script.  Very sorry about that.

 

Oh another stat, to consider -- the first vow completed I believe was Metzombie.   And I think he completed that vow in ... something like 4 days in November.

Cheers to everyone for your efforts, regardless of completion or not. Let's take a collective breath and sit back while we translate back to realspace, because I can tell you right now it seems like it was November yesterday and I just blinked into another reality. I guess it's good to be busy.

 

I'm going to be polishing the award badges today. 

 

Anyone who wants to participate in the "people's choice", shoot me a DM with a link to your image of choice that best represents your amazing efforts. Get something to me by Friday-ish, even if you are an oathbreaker! Perhaps this is your moment of redemption. New photos of completed models that were verifiably posted to the Knightfall thread are also fair game if you want to show off a BIT, ie no crazy photoshoppy backgrounds - models are the focus.

I wish I had been more vocal throughout the process.  It's not because I was disengaged form the painting, it's actually quite the opposite.  I painted so much crap in the last 3 months.

 

In addition to my vow (Emp's Champ, 1 Marshall, 1 Sword Breth, 3x Blade Guard Vets, 1 Red Dread, 1 Repulsor Exec) , I also painted the following:

 

36 Star Wars Legion Rebel infantry models

4 Star Wars Legion Rebel vehicles.

Regarding badge-things, etc..

 

Small request.  (Pun intended, as you will see) With the mindset of preserving as much bandwidth on the server (and this is something that should be addressed across all Faction's Events, etc..) the size of the image be as small as possible but no smaller than is appropriate to capture the intent and meaning (applies of course to those images referred to as images sourced from this server -- which they should IMHO not third party URLs).. 

 

Anyway, that's the Tech in me opinionating.   Carry on Brothers.

Thanks.. And agree with the sentiments previously made, again good work.

 

Reminds me of  something the Old Bard told me once.  "Know form before deviating from it."  Meaning, know the rules before you break the rules.   Here, a "rule" being that BT are actually painted black.    9x19 as well as several others in the list showed otherwise.

My "black" formula for black templar is as follows:

 

-dry brush dark reaper (fast, semi-wet drybrush, to get splashes of color here and there over the model)

-lighter (more traditional) dry brush of fenrissian grey

-coat of 50/50 nuln oil gloss, drakenhoff nightshade.  The gloss here brings about just a bit of the lacquered/shiny look.

-pool/circle highlight eshin gray

-smaller pool/circle highlight mechanicus gray

-even smaller pool/circle highlight ulthuan grey

-coat of 1/3, 1/3, 1/3 (1/3 nuln oil gloss, 1/3 drakenhoff nightshade, 1/3 lahmian medium)  This smoothes out the transitions and re-darkens the model as all the greys tend to leave it a bit lighter/brighter than I would otherwise want.

-edge highlight fenrissian grey

-final pinpoint highlight white
