I just got the Space Wolves Iron Priest fig and he is a quality toy, on par with Ragnar Blackmane (which is the only premium Joytoy fig I have to compare it too). Despite representing a 'first borne' miniature, the figure is the same scale and posability (and probably using the same frame) as JoyToy's standard Primaris figure.

 

I was a bit worried, because the riders for the thunderwolf cavalry are firstborne and they are far inferior - awkward and flimsy compared to the standard primaris joytoy.

I think it's actually the arms (too big) that are out of scale with the rest of the model, rather than the legs (too small)?

That's probably it. The cyclone looks ridicilous. And it's clear they're not based on the new improved designs but older ones,  and making the problems worse to boot.

The Mephiston is the winner of these for me.  I find the Salamanders captain a bit busy for some reason.  The chaos sorcerer is okay, just not my cup of tea.

Messinius is coming up for pre-order.  Looks like he’s got some friends.  Nice to see a “lesser” Chapter getting some spotlight…

Interestingly, those Terminators are based on the old Terminator design, not the Leviathan refresh models. The Storm Bolters have the older single magazine and "combined" barrel, and the Assault Cannon is missing the "drive motor" bit that was added on to the back of the gun in the Leviathan box.

I normally love the Joytoy stuff, but the Terminators are a miss for me, the legs are just too short, reminds me of Officer Baby Legs:

Yeah the Terminators are definitely a pass. The White Consuls are incredible however.

Sort of. I was thinking more his new primarisized version. But that works.

Saw this pop up. I think these will be what finally makes me take the plunge on some of these figures, though Messinius and the White Consuls have me intrigued too.

Love that they are giving some love to previous armour marks.  Heres hoping they get the details right and don't just plonk a MK whatever helmet on a MK X body.
