Lord_Ikka
Good Gods. I spend a day TO'ing a small casual tournament and then the next morning lazing about and the casually check the Nook to see what's going on. Bloody Khornates! Lysimachus
Ok, I'm home and I'm going to bed! But suffice to say that Hagga will prefer to let bygones be bygones, as long as Kraggan is straight with him. I'll try to get some fluff added to the fight posts in the morning, and then some questions for Kraggan to answer. Mazer Rackham
Alright Deadmen, fun's over. That's a wrap for now. We'll let our two Crunchy Nut Khorney Flakes buff up their posts at their leisure. If you've got any ACQ's to consider, do so with the view to the Bounty assault. Players who do not wish to use Orokos any more, are not required to do so. Business as usual, and my compliments to our Players for their rugged, nadger-splicing, Big Boy Trousers. Well done gentlemen. FabiusV4lcoran
Hey so I get lost on 'a wrap' becuase I keep seeing other posts. Does that mean don't write anything that involves someone else, but a scene of insane gibbering is okay if one is so inclined? Mojake
Provided that Kraggan does out himself as a traitor to our cause, might I suggest that we fit him with an explosive collar (reinforced against his tech-y nature) or something similar @Machine God? I struggle to see many scenarios where we'd let him off the hook, and playing as a slave making nutrient gruel probably wouldn't be fun for you Necronaut, Lysimachus and Machine God 1 2 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/383216-bc-the-blackest-heart-ooc/page/132/#findComment-6166316 Share on other sites
Lysimachus
Ok, added some fluff to the crunchy stuff, and also took the liberty of hiding some of the OOC posts that broke the flow, but they're still there if we need them. I'd just like to say kudos to MG for taking part and not backing out, Khorne approves! (And although it ended up being on the brief side, I was definitely worried going into it! While Hagga probably had an advantage in most respects, the gap wasn't so big that a few bad rolls couldn't have made the result go completely the other way!) @Mojake I think that's probably realistic, depending on what Kraggan reveals he's been up to. (I've got suspicions, but it will be good to know for sure) Might need his OOC agreement re making him wear a collar, or GM approval at very least? Machine God
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u7sezizt9_s I searched my notes for the details of Kraggan's character creation. Eventually I found them yellowed with age and at the bottom of the page it said - Wounds: 17. With reference to the 8 wounds on his character sheet, I can only put that to old damage and shoddy sheet husbandry. He should have been on full health due to his Black Blood. Great combat. Now to edit in some fluff. That's good news, would have been -17 regular Wounds and -8 Crit. So leg still lost, but definitely not dead dead. I'm assuming we're still calling it finished where we did? (Please say yes! ) Between potentially being Stunned, taking multiple levels of Fatigue, Blood Loss (admittedly got Die Hard for that one) and inability to move or Dodge, I think it would soon have been over anyway? Edit: side point @Mazer Rackham looking at pg289 Services to Chaos, does taking part in the duel earn Hagga any Infamy or give him any extra Corruption? The fight outcome is set in stone. I'm just trying to work out what to do with the confession and save Kraggan's head. He's certainly not Crux'as after all. Either from Hagga's sword or Ukalegon's Melta Pistol. "Tis but a scratch!" Talent; Die Hard. Please can you hide this post. It is too OOC for the thread. Mazer Rackham
1 hour ago, Lysimachus said: I'm assuming we're still calling it finished where we did? (Please say yes! ) @FabiusV4lcoran this is what I mean when I say things are a wrap - the combat is over, no more beating, that's it. GM has intervened and ruled on outcome. No further action is to be taken in the combat. The matter, apart from confessions and shouting, is closed. However, all other Players may make observations, posts, screaming hysteria, passes at my ex-wives, and pay me rent. 1 hour ago, Lysimachus said: Edit: side point @Mazer Rackham looking at pg289 Services to Chaos, does taking part in the duel earn Hagga any Infamy or give him any extra Corruption? Oh, yes. Most definitely...D5 of each: Infamy: 3 Corruption: 4 Kraggan also gets some (D5 each) for taking on a big meanie: Infamy: 3 Corruption: 1 Complaints can be made to the correct department. Machine God
Unfortunately the details of the Spying were via PM from @Mazer Rackham and back. Unfortunately both party's have deleted the Message. So I shall have to have a long trawl from the 6th of October. If my fellow Frater would bear with me, I promise not to make them wait too long for an IC reply. Lysimachus
I do have another question, but might be easier to ask it here. Was the revealed spoiler from @Mazer Rackham Kraggan's first interaction with the AL, or did Kraggan approach them prior to that? Edit: to clarify, I'm not asking whether it was Mazer or MG's idea to bring the AL into the story. I'm just asking was Kraggan already an AL asset before any of the PCs met, or was his induction initiated in the post above? Lysimachus
Ah, looked back through and found that. So Kraggan uses the HD expression to describe the AL (but he's using it openly so not already one of their agents?)... and Valex decides to use him? (possibly as payback for him openly saying stuff that he shouldn't be aware of?) So, was he basically forced / overwritten by the code? I'm just trying to think of IC justifications for why we might let him live? If he wasn't forced in any way, he made a conscious choice to betray the team, and that makes it much harder to justify keeping him* alive (as anything more than Xerxes' test subject, that is) *Kraggan, I mean, not MG. Treachery and betrayal is part of the game, so no judgement on him for choosing to play it that way - in fact, it's been a fun subplot! Necronaut
@Lysimachus Kraggan's value proposition for being kept alive is he is going to be our spy from now on (and/or Hagga's servant) if he wants to keep his blood and internal organs inside of himself. He will now inform upon Valex and his crew on our behalf and feed them false reports. Ideally we would use him to lure Valex's warband into a trap whereby we could wipe them out and steal their gear, or perhaps broker a treaty with them (I prefer the first option).
