Very nice once again.

I also used the old jump packs on my assault intercessors. They fit remarkably well with the overall primaris silhouette, maybe even better than on the original marines they were supposed to go.

I agree - they fit very well even if they do show their age a bit with mould lines, etc. I'd love to see them come back in the future.

One more completion for Hawk Cadre before the Sergeant. A bit of a risky experiment with gore effects inspired by Space Marine II's gameplay:

The experiment is a success! Absolutely wonderful results as always.

Thanks mate - very kind of you to say so. I wasn't sure about it, gore effects can be really easy to overdo. But I think it's OK for tabletop.

The effect is really well done though a chainsword might be a bit overkill for a tiny reaper .

With your skill I think you could try a power stomp for another space marine 2 inspired pose

Thanks guys, really appreciate it :)

@Heraclite, great idea. Also happens to be my favourite move in that game...

Here's the last of the assault squad - group pic incoming!

Thank you!

Time for the finished squad...Really happy to have these guys done.

Not sure what's next, but inching toward something looking like a playable force.

They look great assembled together

Thanks a lot! I'm having a blast with them, it has to be said.

Got a little WIP of a character for the force...

He's gonna be great!

Just out of curiosity: where'd the head come from? Maybe a space wolf kit? I've been getting curious about how some of those heads could be used for other chapters/cultures.

Lookin' forward to seeing him complete!

If it's not too late I'd try rotating the head so it looks at the bird. Like it just landed, or perhaps just watching it taking off after giving him some sort of order

Thanks guys - I'm so much more satisfied with this iteration than the version I posted a page or two back.

I actually tried this initially - short answer is the placement of the hair just looked weird, and I'm not confident I can resculpt it appropriately.

Bang on - it's a Space Wolf Blood Claw head. I was so chuffed to see it could be used for First Nations features with a little repainting.

Now on to something less overtly positive...unfortunately, Hive Fleet Apotamkin was hit by an extremely virulent biophage (maybe the Condors unleashed a bioweapon?) and this was the result:

Unfortunately, every single model broke in at least 2 places (most in 3-4 places). The standout star was the Lictor, who broke in no less than fifteen (15) places, including all three fingers on the right hand.

Happily the story has a good ending as every single model is now fixed and appropriately repaired. But boy, be careful where you store your boxes in future!

I knew the hair had something to do with it !

Glad you managed to repair your tyranids, it must have been quite a daunting task, just figuring out which broken bit belonged to what mini...

In happier news, the Great Tyranid Biophage of April 2026 encouraged me to actually start on them again. Finished off the Termagants earlier today:
