Holy Pants Batman, you even have a DA emoticon!

Provide a link or check in with Cell 42 immediately. My whole existence revolves around emoticons, I have no real feelings left of my own.

ot:Thawk gets some more love tomorrow night.

Stobz, I'm still really digging your stuff! Keeping that squad in my Inspiration file as well! I'm amazed by your melta and plasma weapons looking like they should actually be firing at something, and your power weapons (including the fists) have an awesome energy field effect.

Can't wait to see the Thunderhawk progress!

Thanks Bryan, your new stuff is epic at an individual level!! there's no way I could do that sort of individualism, I've more of a regimental and minimalist style and now I've come so far I'll have to stick with that style for this project at least.

Can't wait to see the Thunderhawk progress!

It seems as though peeps are keener to see a big flying taxi than a finished Battle Company ;)

I'll do my best to please everyone (sarc. the wife wins ;) ), I do try to have a life outside painting so be patient and I'll get there :D

BTW: I've replaced the Vets' pic with a better one, getting the outside dudes into focus seems impossible with my camera but there it is.

Cheers HJL,

I did a bit yesterday, used 1/2 pot badab black in the process.

Should get the motors complete this week.

My old process was paint the whole thing each colour(yuk), now I'll break it down into each part and complete those separately (should be more fun, and heaps better as a WIP thingie).

Stobz, like I said, I really like your stuff. You say you don't do individualism, but you actually do with the weapons glowing and the power weapons/fists details, etc.

Honestly, Thunderhawk is cooler to see to me because I have a battle company (plus some), though most of it is in boxes, but I don't have a T-hawk. :) Gotta live vicariously where I can! :D

Cheers BB, heh heh neither do I....(yet). I currently own the worlds most expensive pile of SM resin :P

Riddles: here is my recipe, I do it mostly with a 3mm flat brush and HL with normal thin brush;

Dheneb Stone undercoat,

Dark brown wash model upside down,

Heavy Bleached Bone drybrush,

Chestnut Wash upside down,

Medium Bleached Bone drybrush,,

Flesh Wash thinned a little,

Light Bleached Bone drybrush,

Extreme highlights with off white,

Devlan Mud wash 50/50 water.

Quick as ;)

:P

Just noticed something....

How can you collect Mechwing Dark Angles? :D :)

I can answer that for him since i do something more extreme:Collect pure greenwing!Ok i have deathwing and ravenwing but they are outnumbered three to one!

He just likes BSDM. :)

Bro I: Angles as in 90° not Angels as in people with wings - I know what a mechwing means ;)

He just likes BSDM. :D

BSDM??

BB gets it :cuss

Hahahaha, yes he has a perverted dark side and you found it,he collects Angels of various degrees. :D

Hey Stobz, lovely work. I do not know if you have posted it already because I am at school and can not check every post, but I was wondering what the recipe for the blue of your plasma cannons and power weapons are. I really like the glow effect you acheived and it looks extremely simple. Thanks ;)

Thanks for your kind words Dynamicspartan,

I'm not sure if I've mentioned it either ^_^

Plasma is rather simple:

Basecoat white,

Blue ink (or two coats of blue wash)

Paint stripes and OSL white,

Blue wash,

re highlight with white

Really straightforward but the layers create the depth so don't only do it once.

EDIT: I really must pay attention to the question.

The power weapons are more complex,

For fists:

Undercoat Turquoise,

Wash with Badad Black holding so it runs into the recesses,

Wash top 1/3 of each knuckle with Badab black,

HL Ice blue edges,*

Paint Lightning in Ice Blue,

HL edges and Lightning in White,

Wash with blue

Extreme HL in white.

For swords:

UC Turq,

drybrush 1/3 white, 1/3 black,

HL as per *first Ice blue step and continue as per fists

I have it written down at home but I think that is correct.

Hell, the amount of advice I'm giving out I might as well have failed my LPC vow and done some articles :)

Seriously though, I'm alway happy to help.

;)

...and we can't wait to have you back!

Say Stobz, any progress with the behemoth?

The more Sons of the Lion the better.

Ferdinand the flying taxi has been on hold due to the long weekend, but I have almost finished the exterior of the motors. I will add a glow to the interior and check any missed bits then post a pic or two tomorrow night.

:woot:
