... I see the ribbons are catching on! :(

Cheers Captain, I pinched them. Great idea to fit more in the sig size limit.

It is indeed. We all have to thank Shadow Guard for them - he made this brilliant idea work! :D

Amazing attention to detail Stobz, at first glance the model looks amazing and the more time I spend looking at it the better it gets.

If the Ribbons are there to be stolen... well count me in!

Biker looks stunning - highlighting, plasma and the white colours. I can see a brown colour (is it devlun mud wash or sth else) - it looks really good.

FW weathering powders are a very good idea :tu:

Thanks again, not finished yet though....

Thanks to The Shadow Guard for the ribbons, I pinched mine from Elmo's sig but really appreciate them nonetheless. ;) Cheers TSG

B: apart from the chainmail etc. damage all the dirt is FW powers, this guy has less than the other couple of finished dudes. I don't want to make them Mad Max dirty, just a little to show they have been in the field longer than the greenwing (and the teleporting DW).

Weathering powders are soooo easy, I don't know why I haven't taken the plunge before now.

Happy Days

Even Happier Days, I finished my ETL vow last night!!

The Plasma pistol and melta bomb are on the Sgt, so all is complete.

I present RavenWing Sgt Sheol and the 3rd Attack Squadron.

VOW COMPLETE!!!

Lesson learnt about FW weathering powders, don't spray matte varnish after using them, they all disappear and need re-doing :)

Next up: Repaint RW Int Chappie, any name ideas? (I was thinking 'Khan' as he has been used in that capacity :) )

Good times, thanks for watching

stobz

Edit: I'll put up a brighter pic once I get chance to set up my kitchen table properly, that pic was a bit rushed ;)

bravo Stobz, that is an inspiring squad! Did you highlight the black with a grey/white mix? Love the feel of it, especially on the wings on the front. Your special weapons stick out too, in a good way of course... intimidating. anyway, beautiful.

Wow Stobz, this is beutiful black! The sergeant's PF is awesome-awesome! I also love the contrast of the "white-hot" Plasma as opposed to the "red-hot" Melta! ;) Weathering is also great! This guys have been long-range recon for some time now...

it seems I didn't read whole your post last time...

If I may add my 2 cents about weathering powders: after applying them try to use pigment fixer (I use AK Interactive enamel Pigment Fixer) to adhere pigments to the surface. They won't scratch off the painted surface when fixer is dry. You will be able to use matte varnish after all of this and pigment won't disappear ;)

Help form the Master is much appreciated, thanks mate I'll look into getting some fixative this weekend.

Thanks to the others for your kind words too, it really is a great reason to paint knowing there are peeps out there in interwebz land that will appreciate it.

Stobz:

We may have to start calling you the Master of the Ravenwing, because you certainly are when it comes to painting them. This is truly humbling work you've done. Your photography skills are very polished as well.

I'd like to to second the motion for a close up of the power fist.

Thanks for the props everyone, my damned camera's white balance was being fickle so I made a couple of changes on MS Office Picture manager. Sorry if I did it crap :D EDIT: used daylight for these two, my desk lights don't seem to be cutting it for the dark RW.

It's been a real pleasure working on this ETL project with all the brothers here for some truly great results, let's all hold our heads high no matter the outcome :D
