No worries mate. Sorry i took so long to reply to your question. If you give it a go make sure that you only get the Blood Red around the eye. I think it looks better if there is still a bit of black between the eye lens and the glow effect.

I have to admit, when the new Codex comes out and I eventually commit to buying my Word Bearers force, Im gonna paint them very similar to these!

Im a huge fan of how you have made your Word Bearers very dark instead of using bright reds and a bright silver trim. Great work mate!

Ive given it some thought, about getting a few basic squads done and ready before the new Codex arrives. But as always, when a new Codex is released, its usually followed by new box sets and miniatures. So Im just gonna wait til the new Chaos squad is out before doing anything.

Recently I have been toying the idea of creating my Dark Apostle now though, because no matter what rules or models get released, a Dark Apostle will always be armed with his Crozius.

The Berzerkers are pretty much finished now except for the bases (i like to base as much of an army at the same time as possible for consistency). I'll be basing them when i have built and painted a few more IW units wich might not be until the release of a new Choas codex.

Hope you all like them. I found it a bit hard to get the right kind of effect for their armour. Because it has less detail than the terminator armour it was harder to get a "convincing" iron effect. In the end i think it turned out alright but it was definitely a learning experience. Before i painted the IWs i almost never used dry-brushing because i always felt it was too mess.

Very nice work. Got to agree with Biohazard on the Mk4 marine. In fact the mix of different armour marks in there really adds character.

My LPC vow is now complete! As you'll see straight away i haven't based any of the minis. The reason for this is that i like to try to base all the minis from a particular force at the same time. This really helps to achieve a uniformity to the basing style. I often change and develop my basing technique so it can be hard to have a unified looking force. I'll eventually base these minis when i've painted some more IW to go with them. Who knows when that will be though. I might wait until a new codex with new minis comes out...

 

Anyway, i Hope you like the Terminators and the Siege Berzerkers that i've finished so far. I'd love to start on my IW Contemptor next but i'm missing a few pieces. The kit came without the back half of the dreads torso :sweat: I might just have to improvise. I'll see what i can come up with.

 

I eventually decided to go with a dark blue for the Terminators power weapons.

So thats my vow completed. Now i can get back to the constant switching and changing between projects :lol: I've done some more GS work on my true scale Talos and i'm hopping that he'll be ready for paint soon.

I know this is sort of late, but IMO it helps the hazard stripes look more even if you use rust weathering/watered down vermin brown on them. Otherwise the yellow stands out a little too much for my taste, but that aside I love your iron warriors(especially the eyes) furthermore Talos looks awesome, that may just be my favorite rendition to date. keep it up bro!
