Such a beautiful force I really and I mean really hate your skill.

I really think you need to do some custom seekers for this force.

The elegance of the perfect kill a single shot selected for the target and the precision and accuracy to pull it off timed down to the second.....

Sounds like EC to me

Dude those terminators are gorgeous and all, but HOT DAMN that Commander is :censored: GORGEOUS (much better than 'gorgeous')! Seriously man that model is so characterful, and the white is always an awesome color to go with for characters; something I want to do with my duders, but I feel wouldn't fit well for Night Lords :dry.: Keep it up man, seriously!

Simply one of the best Praetor I've seen. Ever. E-v-e-r.

The conversion is simple but perfect, and the paint is goldendemonesque. That red...

The rest of the squad is on par, this is truly an amazing army.

I've made a similar case for EC Moritats before in another thread:

Hmm, an Emperor's Children Moritat, I can see him thinking of himself as a duelist like his sword-bearing brothers but of the later "walk twenty paces, turn and fire" sort. Or maybe he artistically choreographs his gunslinging in his head so that it appears like an elaborate dance, enhanced with ridiculous trickshots to show off his skills.

I can picture this guy corkscrewing through the air over the heads of an entire squad of hostile soldiers and planting perfect headshots on every single one of them, landing a perfect backflip befitting a Gold-winning Olympian Gymnast and then striking a pose.

Swordsmanship may be the more celebrated artform in the Legion but marksmanship can be just as amazing.

For those reasons I'd love to see a EC Moritat added to this army, I'm sure it would look so amazing with that signature III Legion flair. :)

Damnit Kizzdougs! Superb work once again, Atellus is particularly stunning @_@

Thanks, dude! Glad you like Atellus :)

Awesome work. The Commander conversion is really cool.

Thanks, bro!

Argh so beautiful ...must....burn...own...models!....must....do....better!

Seriously I love your work. Absolutely stunning!

Hahaha, don't even think about it!

Yeah, the seekers do fit the EC theme pretty nicely. Highly specialised and well equipped warriors that are given the honour of decapitating the enemy force. I don't have any plan to add seekers at the moment (I really need to start adding some vehicles, particularly transports), but I'd like to at least do a EC Vigilator at some time. How would you equip the seeker squad? :)

Ps. Thanks again for the Moloc torso, you made this conversion possible.

Thanks a lot bro! It means a lot to hear that from you. I recon you could fit some white (or even better, pale bone) into the colour scheme for your HQs. Primus Medicaes are an obvious choice for a white themed character, but you could also paint some pretty nice terror markings on a Praetor, for example. Even just a white helmet could look great :)

That Praetor is... I can't quite find words. Incredible.

Thanks, dude!

:jawdrop: :jawdrop: :jawdrop:  Daaaayum, that terminator commander! That white armour is just so beautiful and an excellent contrast to the other terminators. It shows whos boss.

Very appropriate for the III Legion then. They like to let you know who's in charge :P

Thanks mate! I'm really pleased you like how they've turned out.

I'm looking forward to seeing some more of you brilliant V Legion soon :tu:

Those look absolutely incredible. That commander is beautiful man :ohmy.:

Thanks, dude!

The Praetor is so glorious reality bends around it. Well. Done. Sir!

Thanks a lot bro! Keep inspiring me with your Blood Angels.

Awesome work, that praetor is the best!

Thanks mate! That's what the Emperor's Children like to hear.

The whole squad is beautiful, but...

Thanks, bro! Really glad you like him.

Your Praetor is a gorgeous model - really very fantastic. I've certainly saved it for inspiration!

Thanks Molotov! I get so much inspiration from the B&C, so it's really gratifying to hear that I'm able to pass that inspiration on to others.

I'd love to eventually have at least one of each of the Centurion types for my Emperors Children. I'm not sure if I'd go with the exalted marksman or disgraces commander theme though. Either could work and both would have that trade mark III Legion flair.

Now that I think about it, I do have a couple of heresy era plasma pistols lying around (courtesy of the XIX Legion Moritat that I never finished for March of the Legions)...

If anything, a Moritat echoing a dark, black/purple 40k EC scheme would be the perfect antithesis to your pretty-boy Praetor.

My Emperor's Children are loyalists, so I'd need to make sure that I didn't make him look too similar to the post heresy EC. Having said that, if I did go with the disgraced commander theme, a darker palette would definitely be in order. Maybe black shoulder pads or helmet could be worn as a mark of shame or mourning.

Thanks again everyone :)

Hail brother, Just looking for some input on the direction to take with my Emperor’s Children army. I’m at the stage where my concentration is constantly shifting to other potential Legion projects… just when my III Legion project is reaching a reasonable size. This is probably thanks to a number of different reasons. one of those reasons is a lack of direction. As modeller/painter/fluff fan rather than much of a gamer, my collection has been primarily based on what I thought was cool and Legion appropriate and lacked focus and direction as far as building a usable army is concerned. Whilst painting is my greatest pleasure in the hobby, I’d like to start shaping my army into a more workable force in anticipation of playing some games.

So far I have completed:

1 Praetor in terminator armour.

1 Primus Medicae in terminator armour.

1 Praetor/Legion Champion.

1 Apothecary.

2 Contemptor Mortis dreadnaughts.

10 Legion Terminators.

10 Veteran Tacticals.

10 Veteran Tacticals.

I’m also working on building a Deredeo.

I also have 5 more terminators, 15 MkIV, 15MkII, 10 volkite calivers, 9 missile launchers and other bit and bobs. At this stage I’m planing to save most of these bits for a different project.

In my non-expert opinion, the most obvious weakness of my collection is the lack of transports and to a lesser extent anti-armour. At this stage I’m planning to repurpose a couple of Mars pattern Rhinos from my 40k Word Bearers for the veterans squads and buy a Spartan for the terminators. The Spartan would also add to the army’s anti-armour capability and take some of the enemy’s attention away from the Contemptors and Rhinos.

The Veterans are another area that I need some help with. As they are now, the units are armed with 2 plasma guns, a vexilla, melta-bombs and the sergeant has artificer armour and a power weapon (both units are the same). I originally based these units on how I used to arm my 40k CSM units. However, I’m starting to think that I might need to re-arm the Veterans. Would I be better served arming the squads with power weapons to better support the terminators?

I also realise that the body count is pretty low. This is to be expected with a PotL force, but maybe some back field calivers would help.

So…

Transports, would a Spartan and 2 Rhinos serve well enough? Would I be better off with a Stormeagle?

Should I reconfigure the Veterans? I feel that plasma guns might be a bit of an ambiguous choice. Would it be better to arm the unit with power weapons/meltas/heavy flamers and use them aggressively in support of the terminators. They could serve as objective campers with a couple of missile launchers but I feel that this would be a massive waste of their potential in a job that could be done by a minimum units of regular tactical marines. So do I go for some balance or try to play to the unit’s strengths?

I don’t have a list written yet, but I’d love to hear what you guys think, especially regarding units to add that would compliment my collection and allow me to build a workable army list.

Not a gamer myself so I can't really comment in that regard, but I have to offer some praise for that last batch of awesomeness.

I never forgot about your Terminator commander, and holy hell, did you deliver. That is what an Emperor's Children Legionary should look like. The spear, the helmet in the crook of his arm, the flowing cape and half-tabard, and all the color you've introduced combine to make a special model with an overwhelming synergy. Mindblowing stuff, man.

Thanks for the kind words, guys! It really helps to inspire me :)

Dear ye Dark Prince! Dat Praetor!

What bit is his head?

I think it's the bare head from the Emperor's Children MKIV Head Upgrade Set.

Correct! :tu:

I've just done some more work on my Contemptor-Mortis. I'm in the middle of highlighting all of the metallic areas. Hopefully I'll be able to get some more done next week when I have some time.
