darth_giles
Nice champion. The gold's awful bright, but then again champions get bright gold in a lot of armies. Kizzdougs
Nice champion. The gold's awful bright, but then again champions get bright gold in a lot of armies. Yeah the gold is a bright but it was only a base coat. Hopefully i've toned it down sufficiently. Time for my weekly update. I'm getting close to finishing Terminator 2 and the Champion. Terminator 2. He seems to be turning out alright. I realised as soon as i started painting that he has a lot more gold than the other two... hopefully he isn't too over powering. http://i1122.photobucket.com/albums/l522/kizzdougs/DSCN0351.jpg?t=1315726948 A close up shot to show off the torso detail. http://i1122.photobucket.com/albums/l522/kizzdougs/DSCN0347.jpg?t=1315727339 The Champion. Hopefully the nice head crest will make up for the fact he missed out on all the gold bling :P http://i1122.photobucket.com/albums/l522/kizzdougs/DSCN0349.jpg?t=1315727221 And a side close up. The Golden armour piece on the side of his knee hasn't been washed yet. When its done the silver highlight won't look so thick. The robes, scrolls and book should really make the champion standout... once they're painted. http://i1122.photobucket.com/albums/l522/kizzdougs/DSCN0350.jpg?t=1315727113 Thanks for looking ;) Aasfresser and Dange 2 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/236305-the-sekhmethh-emperors-children-loken-vs-abaddon-12624/page/3/#findComment-2872662 Share on other sites

Brother Delacroix
http://i1122.photobucket.com/albums/l522/kizzdougs/DSCN0337.jpg?t=1314962884 Do you mind if i ask what you used for the studs on the legs and where you got them from? They're just what i've been after for my Templar terminators. The models and the painting are great btw, absolutely love them. Kizzdougs
Thanks Master of fact. Don't even think about stopping your TSs. I love them. And a massive congratulations for the arrival of your little one  @ Brother Delacroix: I actually made the 'studs' with PVA glue. I painted red dots where i wanted the studs and then applied small dots of PVA. The glue naturally sits in the correct shape. Its easy to built the studs up with several layers of PVA to get the desired effect. A paint brush is probably the best tool for the job. You can see another example of the studs on my Sorcerer, the first image of the thread. I hope this helps ;) Brother-Librarian Haegl 1 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/236305-the-sekhmethh-emperors-children-loken-vs-abaddon-12624/page/3/#findComment-2874239 Share on other sites
Brother Delacroix
Many thanks Kizzdougs. I'd have never thought of using PVA. I'll have to pick some up next time i'm in town and give it a go. Kizzdougs
Regarding the PVA studs: I'm glad you guys like the idea. Its cheap and easy :) Very well done! These will look great on the tabletop in a full army. What are you planning after the Terminators? I can't decide wether to try some power armoured TS, Sisters of Silence or maybe some Custodes... I've finally finished Terminator 2 and 3. http://i1122.photobucket.com/albums/l522/kizzdougs/DSCN0360.jpg?t=1316346562 http://i1122.photobucket.com/albums/l522/kizzdougs/DSCN0358.jpg?t=1316346684 A nice group shot. http://i1122.photobucket.com/albums/l522/kizzdougs/DSCN0363.jpg?t=1316346414 Thanks for looking ;) daemonclaw, Aasfresser, KBA and 1 other 4 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/236305-the-sekhmethh-emperors-children-loken-vs-abaddon-12624/page/3/#findComment-2878652 Share on other sites

One-eye
Wow, what a work you've done on those Thousand sons. Your way to built each mini as an character on his own, with great details, let me speechless. Keep up that level of work ! :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/236305-the-sekhmethh-emperors-children-loken-vs-abaddon-12624/page/3/#findComment-2878696 Share on other sites
Bearingtheword
Absolutely brilliant Kizzdougs... You've set that bar for me... someday, someday I'll be at your level (I hope) hehe.... I say go with some PA TS.....Be cool to see your take on some pre-rubric T-Sons..... Are you gonna come up with a way to do a pre-heresy Magnus as well? Would be a really cool (as if they weren't cool enough already) centerpiece for 'em... Kizzdougs
Thanks for the feed back guys wow man, awesome work, what are your plans to finish the squad? your gonna use them as Grey knights ? BTW Im really hoping you do some Sister of silences next. Keep the good work coming kizzdougs Yeah i'm planning to use them as GK. To finish of the squad i need another halberd wielding terminator as well as a psycannon/autocannon terminator. I've got a box of DE warriors so i might have a go at a Sister of Silence, i just wont have enough for a full squad. Absolutely brilliant Kizzdougs... You've set that bar for me... someday, someday I'll be at your level (I hope) hehe.... I say go with some PA TS.....Be cool to see your take on some pre-rubric T-Sons..... Keep the post coming as I can always use the inspiration Thanks mate. I'm waiting to see some more of you awesome WBs! I have though about doing a Pre-heresy Magnus but i think i'll probably do a regular captain first or maybe Ahriman. I'm not sure i'm up to doing a Primarch justice yet... Thanks for the rest of the positive comments guys! I'm thinking i'll probably do HQ or power armoured unit next. I've got enough bitz for a couple of Sisters but if i make some they'll most likely just be test minis...
