I'm currently working on some objectives for Tactical Strike.

I'm getting a bit of a Dr Who vide from these three

They look really good. They are how I imagine the legion looked before it was reunited with Alpharius (if you ignore the hydras and alpha-omega).

Thanks for the base tutorial to, I came close to basing my IW like that, but decided on rubble instead, but I might go back and debase my Inq team now (which will be the 4th time, and they haven't even been finished yet

I painted up a Techmarine last night. I still need to add a servo-harness, but I couldn't find one when I was building him.

I also finished of the objectives

I like the way the Tartaros is peering over the guy's shoulder checking to make sure there isn't anything naughty on his paper.

Hahaha, I didn't notice that :P

Thanks for looking ;)

Looking good! I really like the techmarine you have and must say he looks good without a servo harness. What is that though on his back?

The objectives also look great. I may steal that for zone mortalis as those look like things I would find in the cramped confines of a research facility.

This. Exactly my thoughts. Those objectives are wonderfully cinematic, kizzdougs. :tu:

Seems like backbag from the new techpriest model. plastic, thank gods~~

As ever I'm a bit late to the party, but this Alpha Legion force is great. The effrit are an interesting, visually distinct addition to the mass of metallic blue.

Re-appropriating that particular Apothecary model for a Techmarine is pretty inspired, If you're struggling for a servo arm I know Zinge sell a few.

So this arrive in the mail today... things will never be the same again.

I'm doing the MKA painting course in October, so I'm going to have to decided on a new Legion project to get stuck into once I've learned some airbrushing skills. Exciting times! :)

Thanks dude, glad you like the Techmarine and objectives! The power pack on his back is from an Imperial Guard Techpriest Engineseer (the old metal one). He was a last minute kit bash so I made do with what I had to hand.

Wow, that techmarine is looking really good, it's already great without a servo arm, but I would try to add one to him if you ever get the chance. The objective markers also look good!

Thanks a lot! Yeah, I definitely plan to add a servo-harness. He was a last minute kit bash, so I couldn't get my hands on one unfortunately.

As always a delight to visit :smile.:

What did you use as the basis for your middle objective please?

Thanks a lot bro! The objective is the central terminal from a drop pod. I had a spare one lying around from when I built my Anvillus Dreadclaw.

Nice techmarine, good use of the apothecary model. I think a servo arm would finish the model off nicely if you can find one.

Thanks bro! Glad you like him.

Thanks mate, glad you like the objectives. I'm hopping that I'll get to use them in a ZM game in the next couple of weeks.

You're right about it being from a Techpriest, but it's actually from the old metal mini. So is the axe.

Thanks for looking ;)

Dont mind saying I think you'd paint some fantastic sons of Dorn mr Kizz! ;)

Also, was wondering what to do with my mkii apothecary and I do believe Ill be using some of my techmarine bits to do something simliar. I use techmarines for the loaders and gunners on my thudd guns

Glad to see you are online with the Airbrush mate! It'll change your life!!

I've got a DVD you can borrow on basic techniques to get you started if you are ever over my way! It'll be useful to get upto speed before the course!

I found your alpha legion army and updates at the right time. These are superb, the detail, battle damage, subtle effective conversions. I'm amazed at your paint scheme and execution. The transfers are also jaw dropping. I'm dipping my toes into the XXth in 30k and this is inspiring. Cheers

So, I've just finished a unit of Snipper Veterans.

Now I'm just waiting for my next FW order to arrive...

Please don't switch to airbrushes - you're like an Ozzy Duncan who provides us with hope as your techniques are copy able :biggrin.:

Hahahaha, of course I'll still be using regular brushes a lot, but I feel that I need to have a go at airbrushing to take my painting to the next level.

Time to finally start those Wolves?

Hahaha, we'll see. I bet you're keen for this coming weekend.

I like the idea of some Techmarines with the quad mortars. Kind of like a proto-Thunderfire Cannnon.

Thanks dude, that would be really handy. I still need to get myself set up with a compressor and some other gear, but I'll let you know if I want to have a look at the DVD once I'm set up :)

Hell yes! So when are we doing an aus30k ec drinking session

Fantastic! The minis look awesome with the poses, paint job. and added bits like the mailed tabbards. Now I'm curious about what's next.

I also read "aus30k" and got stoked about 30k in the city of AUStin, Texas and not realizing it meant the whole continent of AUStralia. Well, it'd be pricy for a ticket but well worth it to go there. That place is on my bucket list.

Can't wait mate.  Unfortunately I couldn't get a ticket to go and get the book so hoping some kind people put the rules online until i can order it.  Got a box of resin and plastic waiting for the rules so I can start building.

My Forge World order arrived!

The MkVI armour looks great in person. I'm definitely a fan of the sculpt. Probably the only space marine kit that has too many pairs of dynamic legs :P

I've started working on a Saboteur. I'm not sure whether to paint him in the Effrit or regular AL scheme.

Thanks bro, glad you like the veterans! Yeah, AUStin is a little different to Australia :P

I hope you make it down-under sometime.

Well, I guess you're pretty happy with the rules? They look very powerful so far.

Great work as usual kizzdougs! I can't wait to see what is that FW order you're waiting for!

Thanks a lot bro!
