This Iron Warrior's army just does not quit.

 

 

Just had a read through, and man, this stuff is incredible. Great work.

 

Thanks, as long as there conversion idea & cool models to add, the Iron Warriors 5th Grand Company will grow.  As said from start, army started 2001.  Just a lot about the Iron Warriors I like from look, history. 
After this lot it the Helbrute Mayhem pack & Bezerker.  My unbound Terminators force, but some this will wait for Forge World to release the Iron Warriors side of things for the Heresy.  Also a lot of Daemonic siege tanks I want to bring it but it just trying get everything together before starting any work.

Also need to sort out a list just over point cost each unit, there names & names of the Champions.

Since I'll be doing my first Throne of Skulls next year with my Sons of Tyr, I earnestly hope I get matched against this army - or at least get a chance to see it in the flesh.

Thanks.  Not sure when Throne of Skulls will be happen next year.  I'll need to avoid summer time - I don't react well toward heat & hot weather, usely get bad nose bleed & headache.  This is to do with, autism (I have - semantic pragmatic disorder, which is a forum of autism (not to sever), Asperger & forum of dyslexia) can effect part of the brian - Hypothalamu, that deal with body temprture & sleep - general why games day trips or Store trips to Warhammer World I'd be up for 36 hours.

So be avoid any event during summer time.

 

So hopeful there one before summer or one around Septemeber time.  I'm usely there on Friday afternoon to try get a few games & met up with people I know down there.  Also just get Forge World order place for myself & my friends.

But ether way just really looking forward going back down & just it great weekend.  Not sure what I will do army list wise to be honsty.  It really difficult, as some unit like Narach & Terminators have been a key part & I'm always going to take Obliterators.

 

But it well worth going to Warhammer World event.  The event team put a lot hard work into these event.  Over past few year there been more & more.  I want to try get to a few Kill team events, Master class event by GW Army painter team & Forge World (regreat not going to the Vindicator master class by FW).  There wide range of event.

 

Beyound that, right now just looking forward to my holidays next week.  It start 16th, but I got few things to get done, 18th onword get time to build my models for Call of Chaos

Update

 

It been a busy past few days for myself & today was last day of the year before I started my holidays.  It never been more difficult, but it gotten there in the end.  Just Friday I went to see the brand new Hobbit movie & have a lot of idea, lot cool things.  Then Saturday & Sunday, going to two gigs during the weekend for - Machine Head on Saturday & then Heaven Shall Burn & Parkway Drive on Sunday.  My ribs & right leg been in pain though out the past 48 hours, but a really great weekend.  Just today seen me suffer.

 

Two & a half weeks.  Part this is just get my own space & get hobby.  Another part will be toward the play stastion & assassin's creed unity.  Other part will be seen family during the holidays.

 

First up, just needed to get my painting station & desk area all tidy up.  Just to get space & to make room on my desk to set aside all the models I'm going to be painting during the holidays.

Aim to add tuft grass & varnish to two new Battle Brother on Thursday.  Then just get the last bit of detail painted during the weekend along with my Heresy hobby challenge :D

One of my friends is wanting to get back into 40k with the release of Blood Angels.  Just they've mainly been playing Warhammer with Orcs, but Blood Angels has been there favrout army & one of the trophies are base on there army.  So I've point out about Kill team games, since there starting a brand new Blood Angels force after selling there one on.

A lot of these boxies & clamp-packs have already been shown past few updates.  But now all ready to go as soon as it Thursday.  From Call of Chaos models, to Helbrute conversion.  My Forge World order also arrive which had - Techpriest, Heresy Death Guard bodies & Chaos Dreadnought Mulit Melta arm.  It just a Warpsmith that left to buy & I'm all set for Call of Chaos, get as much work done during the holidays.

 

Blood Angels - Some parts are toward conversion.  Some are toward trophies.  While I'll possible build up a few Blood Angels & paint them because they are cool models.  I'm possible looking that useing the new base for my Bezerker unit just to make them stand out a little in my Iron Warriors force.

While my holidays start, I will be waiting until Thursday to start building new models.  Trying to get as much models built during the next few days.  Then 24th painting my new Helbrute model & Obliterator........trying to avoid helping tidy the house.......  Then Christmas & Boxing day building the new unit of Terminators before Assassin's Creed Unity time.

 

Aim to try get next update done on Friday.  Then possible 24th Decemeber.

With the start of my Christmas holidays few days ago.  I've been spending yesterdsay & today getting some new models built for my Iron Warriors for Call of Chaos.

Just got the Rhino built yesterday & spend today cutting out the plasticard armour plate.  During the weekend & part of Monday, I should hopeful have the armour plate all finish, glue & also have the crew memeber converted.  Aim to have the Rhino ready for undercaoting & little bit of paint on Tuesday.

I added the Dozer blade after find a Guard tank spure & it cool.  Just wanted to add one to show the unit of Chosen rank? with in my warband & there task when it siege/trench.

 

Next up the Champion for my Kill team, trying get a little bit of a Azog look with the mace weapon & also art work from the Bloodquest comic book I shown while back

Semper give me the ok to re-use the model (body/leg) from a old IW model I converted a while back - They where meant for this Kill team when I was planning the unit last year.  But time & other stuff came up & mean the Kill team unit would not start until now.  But this model was take apart & I've use some of the parts else where, the head is now on one of the new Biker for exsample.  But same time did not want the rest of the model to go to waste.

I've just to add green stuff, like the Warpsmith Helbrute I converted up earily in the year.  I want this Dreadnought to show sign of the Obliterator virus.  Aim to have the helbrute ready for painting for the 24th.

Almost there.  Just need to see what tomorrow like & try pick up the last few boxies & order the Warpsmith model for the conversion.

He will be part of my Mayhem pack.  I though be cool to convert up a unit type thing for this.  Not sure what I will convert for the second Helbrute.  While the pack leader (not one gaming wise, but think be cool theme wise) will be base roughly around Warsmith Berossus from the Iron Warriors serise of BL novels or War Sage from the Night Lords novels.

Also just think it will be cool.  This sort of strike force with the Mayhem pack, Lord Narach w/Sorcerer & Terminator bodyguards going into the heart of the enemy line's during siege or trench warfare.

Trophies - Bloodletter to rep my friend Daemon force around 2008/9.  I think the Marine one will be Ultramarines, can never have enough Ultramarines trophies :D
The model will be painted on the 24th.  Since starting the Iron Warriors again in 2011, always spent the 24th Decemeber painting up new models.  From my Mk2 Obliterators (re-done conversion), to my Forge World Helbrute 2012.

I've been spend yesterday afternoon & best part of today trying to get current models for Call of Chaos built & ready for undercaoting.  Also painted a bit of the Helbrute just help get the metallic armour, longest stage of painting a IW model for me with the shade.

The Warpsmith conversion was inspired by a older conversion I done many year ago for Lord Narach, before he was arm with the Dark Blade (Axe) from the 3.5 codex.  When he was arm with a Kai Gun, after a Terminators version of Narach for Conflict Scotland 2005 so I had those chose for events like Conflict & when I started going down to Nottingham for event in Warhammer World.  Orignaly idea was base around the Obliterator virus.  But as said ended up give Narach diffrent wargear, as seen in the topic with photos of the 2006 era model - before being in Terminators armour with the current version of this Champion with in my grand company

THanks Pearson73 - Just wanted to add the Dozerblade to this Rhino help show there staties with in my warband & just saw the Guard tank spure, found it a while back when looking for bits to use for my Leman Russ.

 

Warpsmith, Rhino & Champion have just been undercaoted a few moment ago.  I will be spend rest of today just getting them basecoat & shade added  Helbrute has just been varnish after spend the day painting, just got Blood for the blood god to add, water effect & FW weather powder.

Then tomorrow a new unit of Terminators :D

I spent the 24th painting the new Helbrute for my Iron Warriors & should have the model finish by tomorrow.  I'll now be looking to the second Helbrute for this Mayhem pack, before plan out the inspired Warsmith Berossus for the pack champion (don't think they get one rule wise, but think it just be cool).

For Christmas hobby wise - I got Terminators, project box, few paints, glues, paint brush.  While the hobby book there just really great for referance toward conversion, just about the movie, work weta done.  Having seen the Hobbit movie twice, it really cool & just like see the diffrent armies - Just Dwarf are like the way I'd image my Breacher Siege unit act in battle.  Just lot great idea toward conversion.

 

I'm going to spend Sunday build the Terminators along with the Obliterators & finial HQ chose.

This unit of Iron Warriors terminators will be part of a unbound army, lot this from Forrix company in Storm of Iron novel.  Hopeful get the fourth Battle Brother & Champion for the unit converted over the next few days.  Just right now been pretty chaotic. 

 

I'm looking forward to trying out this army.  For the foruth unit, I am hoping Forge World release the Tyrant Siege Terminators kit if they plan to make the models in the future?

I've got tomorrow, Friday to Sunday free as hobby days.  Aim to get as much built & painted.  I've still got the Obliterator, Lord, Dark Apostle, Crew for Rhino & icon for Rhino hatch.  Also two Terminators.
Tomorrow during the day just start work on the Terminators.  Later in the afternoon to try get the Chosen all finish.  Friday get the Obliterator, Terminators & Rhino crew battle brother built.  Sunday try get the Lord, Dark Apostle & the new Helbrute all converted.

 

I've been struggling with conversion idea for the Lord in power armour.  I wanted to add one to my army just so I got the chose there.  I was hope to use Sevatar but nothing shown up on Forge World quite yet.  But I think I've finial settle on a idea, find the metal Warsmith model I bought a few month back & also seen the image below on google.  Though be cool to convert a more up to date model.  Also just looking that the Warsmith image - belive from the Dawn of War computer game, it remind me of Warsmith Honsou second in command in the Storm of Iron novels.

After useing the mace weapon on my Chosen Champion from the Dark Vengance box set, I might use that weapon again on the Lord as it does look pretty cool.

Loving the kit bashing, managed to get the spine for much the same dreadnought conversion into hellbrute idea. Must take a while to paint those little chaos stars on the shoulder pads?

Good update! Everything is looking great! 

 

For my own Warsmith I always juggled around the idea of a sash wrapped around the waist that would have "coat-tails" in the back. It would be yellow in color, ragged with tears covered in stains of dried blood, and on the coat tails one could see a bisected image of a balled fist. Once the standard of an Imperial Fist company it has been reduced to nothing but an accessory for cleaning blades dripping crimson of loyalist blood.

 

Just something I would like to pass along...and hopefully see on a mini one day :)

I'm really looking forward to adding this Mayhem pack to my army.  Always like having Dreadnought in my armies, my Wolves have about 6 of them right now & where recently use in a game against Nids.

 

Going to build the second Helbrute for this pack on Sunday.  Then I've got a free day in the next few weeks which I want to spend converting my Berossus sort of inspired Helbrute, so plan the conversion on Sunday while I'm focuse on getting my own models built & painted, then buy the part I need during that time so it all ready to build for that day off

The model a few moment ago, just started to add the Forge World weather powder.  I've also got the top hatch sorted with the plasticard icon & that will be painted tomorrow along with the start of my Terminator unit.

I did have photos of my finish Warpsmith model & Terminators that just started painting wise, but the photos turn out pretty rubbish   I'll try get photos of the Warpsmith on Sunday.

Next update will be on Sunday, finial day of the Christmas holidays & want to try get as much built during the day

Rhino looks awesome mate, I love Dreads as well so I built a Helfist Murderpack. Waiting on two more dreads arriving for my loyalists as well

Good update! Everything is looking great! 

 

For my own Warsmith I always juggled around the idea of a sash wrapped around the waist that would have "coat-tails" in the back. It would be yellow in color, ragged with tears covered in stains of dried blood, and on the coat tails one could see a bisected image of a balled fist. Once the standard of an Imperial Fist company it has been reduced to nothing but an accessory for cleaning blades dripping crimson of loyalist blood.

 

Just something I would like to pass along...and hopefully see on a mini one day

Quick update

 

After some change in plans for today, I've spent the day that home & getting a bit more painted toward the Call of Chaos vows.  Also just get Forge World weather powder finish on the Chosen Rhino transport.

 

Terminator, just take the photo a hour ago while watching Zulu movie.

Photos take just after the last layer of MIG Pigment fixer was added.  Just get the excess weather powder off the tank & add finial bit of detail to finish off the model.
