Update

 

So all this week & Monday I've got off & I want to try get some models painted during this time as well as trying get a lot of other things done during this time.  After being Stirling castle, I like going here to clear my head, just get a walk - help me out a lot to try get ride of my cold, feeling a lot better than I have over the past few days.

 

So these photos where just taken a few moment ago & since then, few them been undercaoted.

 

Bloodthister - This is just a nice model to build & paint.  I've went for the standard Bloodthister set up gaming wise.  Last time the first Bloodthister was in sub parts to make it easyer to transport him while painting.  But since he been painted that home just went forward & got the whole model glue together.

Dark Mechanicus - This is just going to be a marker for any HQ chose who might take the buring brand but don't have it on them selfs.  It would be best to make a marker for them & though be pretty cool having a Dark Mechanicus doing this.  Gaming wise he just a marker, he not there, all mesurment will be done from the base of the model who arm with it.  It like how I've model the Fimilair seprate for my Sorcerer but that also to remind me he has one since a fair few of my IW's already have servo skulls models onto there base.

Herald that I'll also paint during today.  Just ran out of time yesterday as tidy up my room & painting stastion/desk took longer due to getting bit ill with it been a bit humid/clammy/warm weather during the day which as said before I hate & just looking forward to it being Autum soon.

It just came down to chose between getting the Bloodthister fully built along with the Dark Mechanicus marker.

I've also got one of the Leman Russ built, just need to get the weapons & finial parts added.  So hopeful get some time later today get that done.  Also got both Sentinels to get built.  It going look like I'll need to wait until next Monday before I get these models spray painted & ready start painting.

Update

 

Here how the Bloodthister model looking so far along with a few other models I've been painting between yesterday afternoon & today.

The Bloodthister almost there.  Since the photos where taken, the armour plates have been painted & wash.  I've still got to do

- Drybrush the wings with Codex Grey & Fortress Grey before adding a Nuln Oil wash.

- Armour.

- Skulls

- Highlight bone & teeth.

- Base

- Green flames

 

I'm going to be pretty busy over the next few days trying to get a lot done during this time off.  But I should hopeful try get Sunday afternoon kept aside to try get a bit more painting for the Bloodthister.  As well as building the (right now) finisl Leman Russ I need for my Chaos Guards.

While waiting on paints to dry on the Bloodthister.  I use the time to get this Leman Russ model built & brass etching added.  Since the photos was take yesterday, the Leman Russ has been undercaoted earily today.  I'm going to try spray paint the Leman Russ, along with the other Russ I'm getting for my birthday & the 3x Sentinel on next Monday.

Yesterday - Though I'd see how the Chaos Guard army going along.  I've just got one more Sentinel to buy & 3x Wyvrens.  So hopeful able to get this lot soon for my 1850pts force.

As said there I'm hoping to set some time aside on Sunday afternoon to paint the Bloodthister.  I'm also aim to try get the Leman Russ I'm getting for my birthday built during the day as well, going to convert it with it being my second HQ - Tank Commander.

Great update mate, look like you're gonna be busy. The Oblit looks miles better with the new helmet, the Traitor Guard will look great when done

 

Yes, I'm looking forward to building the current Leman Russ I just got today for my birthday.  So he will be my tank commander (second HQ) & also possible thinking adding some Dozer Blade onto all the tanks but going to wait until 1 - Get them, as so far I think I got two & 2: Just see army once it all done.

Also thanks for those parts.  Exspect the flesh hound (age of sigmar) to be use for Slay the Warlord marker :D

 

I do love the oblit with the helmet on. The whole idea of everything being sealed inside the suit and the virus running rampant.

 

It was just make the Obliterators a bit diffrent.  Next update I'll try get photos of all the Obliterators together.

 

Just return from a small tournament - Clan wars, 750ts team event.  Really great day & fought 6 great oppent during the three games.  Model side, one friend got best Hero for there Tech Priest, another friend for there Eldar Jet Bike unit, another friend got Monster for there Maulerfiend in there Daemonkin army & my own Iron Warriors pick up Army & Diroama which was really cool.

Add onto that a friend pick up a card & cake for me/my birthday today & got people from the event to all sign it? which was really cool & never exspected.

Just really tired now as I had to leave about 6am this moring to make it to the event & arrive home that 8pm, but as said was really great, really great event & great oppents.

So I've got two days left of my holidays.  Going to build the Leman Russ tomorrow along with those Sentinels.  Then Monday going to possible be spent painting the Bloodthister & re-watch Game of Thrones season 5.

Thanks.  I'll need to get the Warlord marker ready for Rapid Fire event, along with Line Breaker.  I'm also going to make some base (display) for my Rhinos as well for a few event.  Though be pretty cool & just tie in the army look wise.

I also going to build a new Melta arm model for my Breacher squad & possible need to build a new Terminator for Lord Narach bodyguard with a few event been diffrent point.  Also allow me to add some new & cool trophies from recent games :D

 

One them being the Nids vs my friend from a few week ago from the game we have before they have to move.

 

Meant to say photo where taken by the store running the really great Clan Wars event on Saturday.  Again really enjoy the event & was a great day spending my birthday getting games in & general just hang about with my friends.

 

Also I saw this art work on the wall & take the photo on my mobile phone.  Though it was really cool with the Techmarine for future conversion idea's - As always my Iron Warriors are in this for the long war :D

Update time

 

So I've taken time off starting from Friday 28th by 4pm up until today.  During that time I wanted to try get a lot done & did, along with getting some hobby done.

Little gutted as yesterday I ended up with the worst headache I've ever had which saw me pretty much out for the whole day.  Just down to it been way to sunny & warm (as said before I don't re-act well to hot/sunny weather, prefer cloud & rain) & a little bit of travel to the event on Saturday, just long travel like going to Nottingham seem to make me little ill the following day. 

Anyway - So to make up for lost time.  I spent most of the day getting as much of the models I bought last week. 

 

Dunewalker model almost there.  I've just for the crew memeber to build, he will get built tomorrow & the model will be undercaoted right after that.

The base will be done seprate.  Again due to not being great yesterday, don't have the time to get the base done & all ready for painting.  So that will most like get done for the weekend.

Leman Russ I got for my birthday.  This is my second HQ chose - Tank commander.  Since the Mechanicus models where release, I though be cool to try convert part, like the head with the plastic Storm Trooper.  I think it look cool & help with the theme/look for the army.

 

So I'm looking forward to useing a few more of these on future models.

Again, another army that been inspiring me to get my Chaos Guard tank company on the go - George Dellapina Dragon Slayer force which has been in the White Dwarf a few times.

Also got the Sentinel built during today as well.  Just the base that need to get done, they will get built same time as the Dune walker one.  Want to try get these & the Leman Russ all ready for spaying on Friday & then keep them all aside for Call of Chaos.

Bloodthister - I was aim to try get the Bloodthister finish by today.  But as said was not feel great yesterday & chose was down to spending a little bit of time painting him.  Then the rest of today building the above models.  Just building models take me a little longer. 

So he will get painted during next weekend.  Just need to paint the base, skulls & weapons.  As before, just following the guide ove ron the Games Workshop youtube account.

Thasound Son Sorcerer.  He will now go toward Call of Chaos, just need a Grey Knight Ward Stave & he ready to go.  I was hoping to get a disk from the Daemon kit - Buring Chariot (sp?) ?  But not really had much like find the small disk from that kit with out buying the complete box set for that one part.

So just have him on foot on a seneic (sp?) 32mm base.

I think (also just have a note/rememeber) I'm going to vow

 

- Chaos Guard models above.  Just want to get my army to 1850pts, they've waited for a while & I want to get some games with them.  If I don't do this now, it going to be another while/wait for them.  So just want to get my Chaos Guard army to 1850pts, get some games & just really looking forward to painting the models.

 

- Iron Warriors Vindicator.  Second Vindcator, it'll be the same as my orignaly one with the Dragon skull.  But I'm wanting to try & use a bit more of the Transfer sheet from Forge World on this one.

 

- Bloodborn.  Unit of World Eater, they will be chosen with Mark of Khorne.  There from the novel Khârn: Eater of Worlds & have a lot cool wargear.  So though be cool & look for a cool reason for them being part of my Grand Company force.  I'm going to use the Forge World World Eater upgrade kit along with the Night Lord Terror squad helmet.

 

- Nurgle Lord:  Model I bought week before my holidays only to end up getting the cold.  I just need one part for this model.  I'm looking forward to the conversion & painting the model.

 

- Cultist:  Want to have a unit of Close Combat Cultist & have them theme around the Pit Slaves.  As said going to look that the Age of Sigmar Khorne models.

 

Beyound that, not quite sure & it will just come down to time more than anything else.  Pretty much it going to be a little bit busy between now to Christmas time.

Update

 

Mange to get a few hours free during this week & get bit more painting time toward the Bloodthister.  The model almost there, aim to have the model fully painted by Sunday & varnish Monday.
I've just got

- Green flame to paint

- Skulls/Space Marine on the base

- Paint black, highlight

 

Then once the model varnish it to add blood for the blood god, gloss varnish to the wings & Games Workshop water effect.

I'm going to be painting the rest of the Vanguard unit tomorrow.  I started painting the models last week - Wednsday.  But where put to one side while I was sorting a few models for the event I went to last weekend.

So hopeful get them painted tomorrow & get the models varnish same time as the Bloodthister.

After my Iron Warriors first event this year - As said last weekend took part in a 750 double tournament.  My Iron Warriors will be battleing it out that my local wargaming club tournament Rapid Fire.

There a few thing I want to get done.

- Marker:  Slay the Warlord & Line Breaker.  Part this just make cool marker, other part just to help me rememeber as well. 

- New Terminator Battle Brother to join Lord Narach unit of Terminator bodyguards.  Got a few new trophies that will be added to this model, one them being base on my friend Nids force I fought a few week ago with them moving.

 

- I'm also wanting to try make base for my Rhinos.  Just for display only, inspired by Nick Bayton Ultramarine from Warhammer Vision & weekly White Dwarf few month back, photo from the Games Workshop web site.

Always nice to catch up on your thread, traitor guard coming along well and the new Bloodthirster is looking awesome!!

 

Got to admit, looking forward to your take on your Khorne Chosen. Haven't read the novel yet but the parts you are using sound great. What is their loadout to be?

Thanks midnight runner. Funny you ask about the bloodborn unit, I'm re-reading the book &that at part let me know what there wargear are.

Just bought first wvyren today and last sentinel for my 1850pt list :biggrin.:. Just two more tanls to buy for the chaos guard

 

Edit - Bloodborn unit has a mix of

- Autocannon (Terminator part)

- Mix of Combi Weapons, Bolter & Bolt Pistol

- Mix of Combat weapon, Chain axe, power weapon & mauls.

 

For the unit I'll use the FW World Eater upgrade with the Night Lord Terror squad helmets.  Need lot of skulls.  Also going to give them a Rhino useing the FW upgrade pack.  They will tie in with my Iron Warriors but also possible led to a Khorne or Daemonkin army in the future.  They will be World Eater Battle Brothers.

As said Bloodborn base on Khârn Eater of World novel.  Just been re-reading the novel recently just find out/remind myself a bit more about them.  Going to use the FW Khorne upgrade kit along with the Night Lord Terror squad helmet.  Have a mix of combi bolter, power mauls, axe's from the Age of Sigmar models.
While there Rhino transport will use the Forge World Khorne door icons.  Should hopeful buy kits I'll need around October, the unit should be ready around end of October/around November time.

 

Vindicator will be join my orignaly one converted back in 2012.  Aim to make a unit/squad of Vindicators.  Also I want to try some of the IW transfer sheet I got a month ago.  Looking around October to November time for this model

 

IW Sorcerer - Again just have chose & diffrent wargear.  November time for the Sorcerer.

 

Chaos Guards will be follow the guide/exsample from Forge World modelmaster class book Vol1 (photo taken last year)

Nice update. A nice selection of models that will keep you busy :smile.:

 

The three Sentinels are nearly finish.  Just got them varnish a few hour ago & going to spend tomorrow (day off) hopeful getting the finial detail added.  As well as painting both Leman Russ tanks, also give me a chance to watch the second Avenger movie I'd recently pick up.  Spray painting the camoflauge (sp?) has help a lot & taken lot of time out.  It mainly been waiting on the shade to dry, mix heavy with the medium.

 

But I'm really looking forward getting on with these vows.  Also Khârn will soon have a unit to join him in my Iron Warriors force.

 

Khârn - Shown past update, pick model up during Throne of Skulls March last year & painted few days after.  Just really cool model & re-reading Khârn Eater of World just adding onto that/happy to added the FW Khârn to my army.

There still a lot to get done to the tanks.  I just wanted to get them up to the weather powder stage as I'm unsure what time I can spare during the weekend & it can take a bit of time waiting on the MIG pigmint fixer to dry.

 

So there almost there.  Just got a few things like squad marking & icon to the Russ hull to add.  Then they should be finish along with 3 out 4 Sentinels.
A lot work been done because of the Games Workshop spray gun along with GW colour spray for the camoflauge.

How the Chaos Guard army looking.  I'm going to convert up crew for the Wyvren's.  I've mange to find a spure with a few part left over of Cadain, when I was building my Cultist units a while back.  I just need to try get around order the renegades (sp) kit from Forge World to use there backpack to tie in with the look & theme of my units.

 

I should also hopeful get another Wyvren this weekend & get that sorted along with the fourth sentinel model.

 

Sorcerer just had green stuff applyed after this photo was taken.  I might start painting him this weekend, it just depend if the game vs my friend goes forward vs there Nids.

Also while adding Forge World weather powder to my Chaos Guard tanks.  Though I take the time to also apply them to my Berzerker Rhino as well.  It almost finish, just need add blood for the blood god & that it really.

Second Wyvren bought today along with Tuft grass (since release really like useing this & would never go back to static grass) & today White Dwarf.
While Forge World - Iron Warriors helmets & brass etch where pick up for me when I my friend was in Warhammer World.

 

I'll get the Wyvren built tomorrow so that ready paint on Wed along with the fourth Sentinel model.

 

Then WIP XV Legion Sorcerer.  Spent a little bit time painting the Sorcerer today.  Still a lot to get painted, just wanted to get a rough idea how I wanted this model to look.

So hopeful aim get him finish next Saturday.  I'm going to check out few army logs like Aasfresser just get a few idea

My Chaos Guards - Thorakitai (Angels Exterminatius Horus Heresy novel) Leman Russ.  There almost there, just need to drill out the Heavy Bolter.  Blood for the Blood god added just for bit colour & tie in/while style/warfare of the IV Legion.

Should hopeful have them finish tomorrow & my first Call of Chaos vow complete :D

So as said this week pretty much getting as much of my Chaos Guard army painted.  I'm also aim to get the finial Wyvren model bought next weekend as well just to have my army that 1850pts & ready for gaming after a few local tournament have been.  Then look into adding units from Armour 13 Lost & the Damned.

 

Then aim go back to Dark Mechanicus, still struggle with a list but I'll get somthing sorted soon.
