For the Knight, that the right shoulder pad (apart from transfer) seem to be sorted.  Going to have that all ready for this weekend to paint.

Also here the Fallen Angel Battle brother I've been painting today along with the Knight.  I just need to re-do the weapon, never notice until after painting him

Also my Bloodthister return, though gutted someone bump into me on my way to get the train back home mean one of the wing broke off.  It fix now.  Really enjoy building & painting the Bloodthister.

Word can not say how happy I am about this.  I've just ran from the train stastion to my home just to see this.  I got a message from my friend saying had I seen the Lord of Iron, they said they already pick him up for me. 

 

I can not wait.

I should here on Sunday after the event on what happen from my friend.  I'm really looking forward to this & very gutted I'm not going to the FW open day.

 

But I can not wait to build & paint the Primarch of the IV Legion, the Lord of Iron.  Be nice to see a complete version of the model.  But so far I think he really cool.

 

I'll get a quick update some point tomorrow for the Fallen Angel Battle Brother & bit more on the Knight.  He almost there, just waiting on the skaven part & also the IW transfer to be release - hope there pre-release that he FW open day as well.

Update

 

So mange to get yesterday off & went up to Stirling castle, part this was just get fresh air.  As said before I hate summer as I don't re-act well toward the heat, so was to enjoy my type weather during yesterday.  Then in the afternoon was spend getting the right shoulder pad painted with a Chaos icon :D

 

While today been spent getting more work on the Knight painted & the Fallen Angel.

Tomorrow I'll find out what happen with my Primarch.  You have no idea how much I'm looking forward painting the Lord of Iron.  I just need to wait until tomorrow to hear from my friend & IF the Iron Warriors transfer are on sale?  That would help the knight a lot.

Like wise I'm happy how the Fallen Angel battle brother looking, still few parts.  But I'm happy to re-add him back to my army.  As said I had a Fallen Angel Battle Brother in my IW army 2001-2002.  Aim with this force is to bring back all these models & all cool theme they've built up thanks to brillaint games they've fought over the longs years I've collected the IV Legion.
While adding new models like the Knight & Bloodthister who will bring there own honour & glory from future games as well further adding depth to my 5th Grand Company background :D

I'm waiting to hear though out the day what happen from the Forge World open day & from my friend.  I'm looking forward to see how the Lord of Iron look & what else is on show.  As the Warhammer World open day shown the Chaos Knight & Lord of Skulls on legs.  I might end up converting one after seen a cool conversion another friend posted up on my facebook wall for the LoS walker.

 

Chaos Knight, be intresting to see what the rule are like.

Also just to try any IW related models I'm going to try add them to my army.  So Siege Tyrant will be part my unbound Terminator force, try convert them into Chaos era.  Same with Iron Havocs is that happen.  Then see things like Warsmith Golg.

Also more than happy to keep adding onto my Iron Warriors, it been fun add all the diffrent units & give me a lot of chose.

Quick update

 

So first up, yesterday was the Forge World open day that Warhammer World & there was a lot of cool hobby on display.

The Lord of Iron - Perturabo, has been bought for me from one of my friends.  I should be pick up the Lord of Iron near the end of this week.  No need to guess I can not wait & all goes to plan I will start painting Perturabo during the weekend.  This will also allow me to go to a local model store to pick up some metal wire & clump folaige to add fume/smoke/toxic to the engian (sp) part of the Knight to help/make sure that is not loss.

 

There so much more as well.  The new Blood Angels upgrade kit for the Heresy look cool.  Then there Heresy era Techmarines.  All of which I'm looking forward to useing for conversion.  I'm thinking for Call of Chaos on adding another unit of Chosen useing all these cool new kits.  Along with any left over parts from my Dark Mechanicus army.

 

On top that rule for Chaos version of the Knight which look cool & I'll be useing them in events I'm allow to & in friendly games.

 

Also just saw today that Warhammer World added some cool things to there Throne of Skulls July event

I just think it really cool adding little extra like allonw tanks to have secure object rule.  Also allow each tank base model to have a few extra rules as well, along with conversion idea.  To me this bring a lot of cool life to models.  As said before for me I like adding sub theme to my units.  I want my models to tell the history of the epic games they've fought in.
As said last update.  One my aim to bring back a lot models - Fallen Angels Battle Brother, Warsmith Abhorred Riddick, Lord Narach, etc.....  Keep there great epic history going from the great games they take part in.  Then brand new models from the Knights, Iron Havocs, Bloodletter, etc... bring further glory & epic deeds thanks to the great games they've taken part in.

So hope to see this for future Throne of Skulls events :D

My Dark Mechanicus army was on a little hold due to a lot of the kits selling out.  I'm still not sure what I want to do for there army list, I think I might end up trying the White Dwarf formastion as from what I rememeber it a little bit of everything & I think that will be better just to get to grip with this army.  While as always adding cool models to this army.  So I'll need to try find the White Dwarf & work out a force with that formastion.

I bought the new Devastators a few week ago on the release day.  Aim to convert them as a new Havoc unit for my Iron Warriors.  The kits are really cool.  I've got another two Heavy Bolter Battle Brother to build & paint along with the Champion.  This will get done once the Lord of Iron been painted.

I just need to add green stuff over the wooden effect on the Skaven part, so hopeful get that done during the weekend as well as adding clump foliage for that smoke/fume effect to the engian (sp) part just behind the cannon/on the Knight model.

I'm hoping FW release the Chaos Knight rule next week & possible try that out in a game.  Just me & a friend arrange when Vulken was release to have a 1875pts + free Primarch (not 30k) just for fun.  So see if that can be arrange for next week.

So when you put the little tufts of grass on your bases, do you do it after sealing the miniature or beforehand? I have applied the tufts prior to sealing before but the sealant endued up frosting it up. I wasn't happy.

I put tuft grass on then varnish after word. It help it go out more due heat dry super glue and then varnish dry.

Yesterday I pick up the lord of Iron Warriors - Perturabo, Lord of Iron from my friend yesterday who pick up the model from the Forge World open day.  Needless to say I've been really happy since seen the model preview as being sold that the event.  He look cool & match with how I wanted the model.  I've waited three years for the Lord of Iron to be release after Forge World annouce that they where running Horus Heresy rules & models.

Today was spent painting the Lord of Iron.  I was hopeing to get the shade stage done during yesterday but ended up with a really bad headache yesterday.  But really happy to gotten today to paint the Lord of Iron, he a really good model to build & paint

I'm just working out how I want to paint the destroyed Knight.  Want to base this around one of my friends.

 

Also another friend give me the Chaos half of Age of Sigmar......... going to build up a Daemonkin force, if all goes to plan this might be part of my Call of Chaos vow.  So I'll keep the spure to one side until I gather all the parts for those conversion & spent a day or week of I got later on this year.
