Yes I'll be taken part on Armies on Parade, just it more my thing/preffer entering. As said before on the Armies on Parade post, this allow me to use the skills pick up during my NQ-HND model making course. Also just from all the stuff you learn when making the AoP board, for exsample how I done the stain glass window which took a lot of try & error/very last moment for that to work the day before our enter where due in.

It will possible be the Iron Warriors with the release of the codex & all these new models. Just how the Heldrake can add high for exsample when you look that the photo of the whole army I posted yesterday.

I will be getting both of these models fully painted on Saturday after I get a game in to try out some changies to my army list for Throne of Skulls March. Then that will be my Call of Chaos challenge complete. I will get a photo of the units that where part of the Call of Chaos challenge once these two are painted.

 

The Salamander & Raven Guard shoulder pads in the background are going to be use for some trophies for my Land Raider models. As said all trophies are base on armies I have fought over the years. I also though be cool to add these models as a nod toward the Heresy & the slaughter on Isstvan V.

I fought Raven Guard back in 2005 during a event in Warhammer World when I first started useing my Iron Warriors force down in Nottingham

I am also replace one of my Rhino hatch doors for my third Iron Warriors unit. Just wanted to update/change it to tie in a bit more with the icon with my two other Rhino unit of Chaos Marines.

The Chaos Icon was inspired by the once found on the Forge World brass etching sheets.

I find it always great having deadline to work for from the Call of Chaos or events like Throne of Skulls, I find I get a lot more done both building & painting wise.

 

While for the Iron Warriors in general

 

I made up a new version of Chaos Champion Bronn Tal for squad 1 of my Chaos Marine units. He usely arm with a Power Fist, but for Throne of Skulls March to get some points, I am replace the Power Fist with a Power Axe. I'm useing some points to try get Axe of Blind Fury on my Chaos Lord.

Also the model will double as a Chosen with Power Axe.

I bought a few ships for part to convert in my Iron Warriors force. But not just that, like my Iron Warriors force, my BFG force was painted in the old inks back in 2007?. I want to move to the new wash so I can add onto the fleet as I buy more ships in the future for some more parts to convert with my Iron Warriors or Space Wolves armies.

Battlefleet Gothic is a great game & I will be useing the 13th Black Crusade list, this is because it can mainly be base on the plastic ships making it easyer to build & carry vs metal models.

Just a few bit of rune letter to paint onto the armour plate & just to get the trophies finish painted. Also I will need to add another layer of weather powder to the predator tanks.

 

Also a while back when I done the Dreadnough update. I spoke about have the older 2nd ed era model & I think I said about it going missing. Well after spending the past week tidy out the garage I mange to find the 2nd ed era Chaos Dreadnought. Not just that, I also found a Ravenwing Battleforce & the 2nd ed Space Wolf Scout backpacks - Going to start my second Ravenwing army in Febuary (sp?), along with some Xeno's models of the Necron kind I was going to start last year. Also a pack of Forge World Raven Guard upgread.

Just the Dreadnought army was part of my Iron Warriors force when I started them in 2001 for Conflict Scotland 2002. During that time it got paint strip & sat to one side, waiting for a day to be re-painted. Now is that time. I just need to get around to makeing the base.

To help & try break up the heldrake model from my other two.  It was suggested about adding blood splatter to one of the wing, also be a good way to show the Vectro strike rule & I'm happy how it turn out & tie in with the rest of my army.  The Heldrake model will be use in my army for the Throne of Skulls March event which is now just under two month away!

 

I will be aim on getting another update in the next few days.  Right now both Land Raider are that diffrent stage, one of the Land Raider has already been varnish & just getting the Forge World weather powder.  While the other Land Raider just has a few more parts to paint before it can be varnish.
Also I've been building up five more Cultist.  Right now I am thinking about, instead of the unit being 35 models strong, if I can find more Cadain spure it would be to make it 2x 20 Cultist units with 2x Heavy Stubber each for my Iron Warriors force & as said they'd also double as Chaos Guards.  Apart from searching for spure/parts, I'd just need to get the Renegade Enforcers from Forge World for the backpack & extra armour plate.

There just a few parts to finish painting & I also to scratch the Imperial Egal on the tracks/to show the icon of the Imperial being defiled.  Then it just to varnish the model & add Forge World weather powder.

I've also been adding some more Cultist to my Iron Warriors force.  Orignaly it was mainly so I could have a few more arm with Heavy Stubber.  But I am now thinking of adding a further five Cultist to my force, so I can have two units of 20 Cultist in my force/collecstion.  These models where painted yesterday while I was that my local Games Workshop store, I should hopeful get the models finish during the weekend.
For the other five models, I am just waiting on my Forge World order to arrive with the Enforcer's & also a Necromunda Pit-slave to arrive in the post.

It was suggested that I should add the remain of the Black Templars who got hit by the Vector strike onto the base.  So I found a spare Mk7 Space Marine helmet.  I just need to add a arm that look all torn apart/shreded.  Just the aim is to try have ever model in my Iron Warriors force converted & to try have a sub theme to them to help stand out.  Also my new Heldrake model done really well in the few games it been in.

My third unit of Iron Warriors, the once who are slow going down the path of Khorne are getting a brand new Rhino, while there current Rhino will be given to my unit of Chosen.

I went for a crusifed Night Lord as 1: Chaos are well know to fight among themself, 2: Night Lords are cool (see ADB Night Lord novels from Black Library), the blue armour help add contrast & who give me more of a better fight :D & 3: I am thinking of starting a Night Lord force in the future so though be nice to test out some thing.

 

I just added the weather powder & waiting on the MIG Pigment fixer to dry while I was taken the photo of the model. The Rhino will be going down to Throne of Skulls March.

Not sure how many points I am that, but I think I am that least around 4500pts for the Iron Warriors. Currently I just have the crew memeber for the Chosen unit Rhino to paint & then that everthing I got in the force painted. Also it good to see the army all together.

Just while collecting a force, some time it is good to take a little break & just see how your current collecstion look, just to get a idea what need change, how it look overall & what need to be added.

 

In the future.

 

I will be going back to my Space Wolves for a little bit to try get them up to date, basicly just re-painting some area so I move away from the old inks to the current range making it easyer to add onto the force. Also to add Forge World weather powder to my tanks & general adding new models, currently my Space Wolves stand that just over 3000pts You can tell when I enjoy useing a force I like to add lots to the army as also seen with the Iron Warriors over the past two months. While gaming wise it just to bring them up to 6th ed, as the last time I use my Space Wolves was last year in July just before the current rules where release.

I'll also be making a start on my second Ravenwing force, once I got somthing I like I'll be looking into making a project log for them in the painting area of the fourms. I had a Ravenwing army back in 2005 & it was nice how it all fitted into a single case. Also I like the new models which is the first thing to really draw me into collecting a force & if I can convert the models.

 

While the Iron Warriors. Throne of Skulls March is next month so I will be converting a Chaos Marine, a new Obliterator & a Terminator for the event. Which will also see the new Rhino & Heldrake in my force. There also a Heldrake model that I need to finish the base for & that will be ready for gaming.

Then after that, unsure but there still lots I want to add to my Iron Warriors force from Dreadnought, Cultist, Close Combat Obliterators, the Maulier/Forge Fiend models & some more Terminator arm with diffrent weapon set up give me more chose., as well as making a start on my Battlefleet Gothic force for my Iron Warriors.

After spending the last few weeks re-painting some parts of my Space Wolves force & also making a start on my second Ravenwing army. It now time to get back to the Iron Warriors, with Throne of Skulls March just three weeks away now.

Obliterator - I got some of Fibus Bile servo arm from the backpack which will be getting paint strip tomorrow & added onto the Obliterator. Then I just need to add green stuff for the Obliterator style flesh on the servo arm's & part of the model armour.

 

Chaos Space Marine - I'm just waiting on my mail order nexy week: Battlefleet Gothic imperial ships, to convert his backpack. Also just waiting on another Forge World Techpriest to arrive to use the servo arm on the Chaos Marine backpack. While the techpriest model it self will be added to my second unit of Cultist.

I've also got my Terminator to build, it just a few more bits I need before I can start converting the model which I should hopeful get next week, basicly when I have money.

 

There also recently been talking that my wargaming club, that we may see a Battlefleet Gothic campaign in the near future as a few new people have just started pick up fleets/show intrest.

I will be running the Black Crusade list found in White Dwarf - 283. Pretty much this allow me to use nothing by plastic ships as I am not really keen on metal models (building 9x Bloodcrusher, 9x metal killer kan & 2x deff dread in a single day can test your tolerance (sp?)).

I still to have a proper read. It just I had a Daemon force back in 2008, but would not mind starting a second force & have them tie in a bit more with my Iron Warriors force, maybe have them theme on a force from the Dark Forge/where the Soul Grinder are made from the last codex background. Like wise I'd not mind getting a Chaos Guard army force collected as I already got my 40x Cultist. Just this give me chose when it come down to army list & going to tournament & pretty much just allow me to build & paint some cool models.

Right now my Iron Warriors force stand that around 5330 points as well after spending two month adding the new units since Novemeber.

Quick update today

 

I mange to get some time yesterday to green stuff the Obliterator style flesh & also help to blend in the weapon & Fabius Bile servo arms onto the model.  Also my Forge World order for the Techpriest model arrive earily today, allow me to convert up the Servo skull for the Obliterators.  I just think it look cool & tie in with the Iron Warriors theme, useing servo skull to scout ahead in a trench or city so they do not fall into any traps, etc... also just to give them tactical data.

As with tradition, both of these models will be painted on the week led up to Throne of Skulls March.  As said before I always seem to be painting models on the days leding up to a event & this has became tradition for over ten years now.  Just it never feel right if your models/army fully painted a good week or so before the event.  So I will get these two models painted on the Wed in my local Games Workshop store on the week led up to Throne of Skulls March, which is now two & a half weeks away.

Also should hopeful get the last parts I need for my Terminator tomorrow & start converting up the models during the weekend.

I just need to highlight the metalic (sp?) & then just need to get the names of each ship onto the base, along with what type of class they are.  Also while pick up the last few things for my Terminator conversion.  I saw Death from the Skies was back in stock & place a order for that & though I'd place a order for the last few ships I need for my Iron Warriors fleet.  I'll still pick up a few extra boxies & some of the Forge World models when I am down there for Throne of Skulls just incase I need to change my fleet list & general just to add onto the fleet.

 

I should hopeful get some Battlefleet gothic games on the go after Throne of Skulls as it been a year & it is a really good game.

 

Next update should be nearer Throne of Skulls once all three Chaos models are painted & hopeful by then my fleet will be fully painted that 1500pts from what I rememeber of my army list.

Throne of Skulls March is next weekend.  As normal it not a tournament/event unless your painted/building models until the day is near.  Orignaly it was ment to be the Terminator, Obliterator & a Chaos Space Marine.  But recently I been re-reading Angel Exterminatus novel. 

Re-reading Angel Exterminatus has led to me converting up a brand new Chaos Marine just a few moment ago.  Sub theme is roughly base upon/inspired by Soltarn Vull Bronn - "The Stonewrought".  Also a while back I bought the Forge World Khorne Terminator lord for Lord Narach conversion for ToS October last year.  There a really cool bolter on the power fist that I been wanting to use in a conversion & useing the art work from Angels Exterminatus seen on Perturabo

I am also getting the Terminator, Obliterators & Chaos Marine metal armour painted up right now.  Just along with the model above, I will be painting these models on Wed that my local Games Workshop store.  Just so I am not waiting to long on the wash to dry/so I can get all the models fully painted on Wed & ready for varnish as soon as I get home.

The servo skull will be glue onto the base once the model is fully painted & varnish.

 

Battlefleet Gothic - That my wargaming club annouce there Battlefleet Gothic campign (sp?), which will happen two week after Throne of Skulls March.  So that will be good timeing for me to pick up a few things from Forge World & Mail order when I am down in Nottingham.  I was ment to get some Chaos ships a few week ago but it seem there been some warp storms that have dely that.

I was aim to get a update done before going down to Nottingham. But during the week I had the cold & it ment on Thursday after painting the new models, I got hit by a headace- first headace in six month now.

 

My Iron Warriors where that Throne of Skulls March this weekend, where me & my friend who took Daemons (Best Daemon Player) travel across Fenris or it seem like Fenris with all the snow we have while travel down to Nottingham for the event.

 

I'm still recover from the travling as it been a long weekend. Travel from 7.30am on Friday, then back home after the event on Sunday 11pm. Add onto this I had the possible worst time that the hotel as Friday I was woken by people arguing around 1am until 3am & then Saturday night I was woken up by immature people running in the hall way, slam doors, shouting & general being gits. I have no tolerance toward idiots.

 

So this will just be photos. My army was up for Best army nominee which I was happy with. Just for events, some people goals are top 10 rank gaming wise or best race. For me it the army side as it help give me that push, it always been my aim over the years & it what has help improve my hobby over the years as I like having & also seen really cool armies.

 

The photos are from Warhammer World facebook page as the event team done a really brillaint job taken the photos of some of my models. Some of the photos are from the painting comp held on the Saturday launch time, while some where taken when my army was on display on Sunday along with seven other armies for the Best army nominee.

Warpsmith model I bought back in October as it a really cool model.

 

He arm with the Ap3 flamer from the wargear part of the codex.  I'm going to try convert it, so the flamer is a bit more high tech.  Also going to get my two ships built for my fleet for Battlefleet gothic as my wargaming club campign (sp) is starting next week.

Just this old one of the Ultramarines, it was a test model for a force to collect while I waited on Codex Chaos Marines back when it was just rumour.  But never took off, same with Salamander & a few other armies, but to be honsty back then all I wanted to do was add to my Iron Warriors when the rumour of the codex was out.

Space Wolf - Sadily not got any photos or able to find any.  But he was a Lone Wolf made for Armies on Parade back in 2011 for my Space Wolves force, just I'm current re-painting some of the force move away from the old inks/the way I paint skull for exsample.  So re-painting some parts of the force to make them a bit more cooler/stuff I leanrt while collecting my Iron Warriors.

Very quick update today.

I mange to get my Warpsmith painted on Wed that my local Games Workshop store, just need to get some Chaos Rune painted onto the axe & he will be finish.

Also last update/this update photos have had to be taken that my painting stastion due to work being done in the house/where I'd usely take the photos of my models.  I will hopeful be taken some brand new once near the end of next week along with my Battlefleet Gothic force.

Basicly I want to get a squad of Iron Warriors with these shield.  I will be planning on useing them for Throne of Skulls Septemeber & a few local events later on in the year.
Just I like the idea of each of my units being sub theme & I like my Iron Warriors force still have a heresy look/from reading Angel Exterminatius.
So I got a few idea for my new unit & how I want them to look with the Breacher squad parts.
