Chaeron
They look ace! For a moment I actually thought their slime "exhausts" came as part of the miniature itself. Great job You're making me jelly with those Blight Drones. Really loving those Drones Chaeron. My thanks guys for the lovely comments - very happy with them! Nemac Vradon
Typhus and the Deathshroud look great mate, especially the eyes. You make me want to add those models to my collection :). You can certainly control it more with the nozzle - and worked better than I anticipated Water Effects to. Give it a go! Typhus and the Deathshroud look great mate, especially the eyes. Chaeron
very nice stuff .did you alter the turbines on the blight drones? if so what did you do. they look chunkier than normal They've been affectionately known as the "doughnuts of doom" - I believe the previous owner had a good go with some green stuff or they may even be new parts, I know they're not the same (smaller rotors definitely!) - so I'm guessing it may be a conversion kit of some design? It's not how I would've necessarily done it myself, because they're that much harder to detail, but I thought being fleshy rather than armoured was the best choice given some of the lack of detail. Cheers for the nice comments! Chaeron
I've now managed to complete my first vow for the ETL! Painting became so much easier when I ripped the Lord of Skulls apart: http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c254/TheNewAgeOutlaw/LOSWIP_zpse58115c8.jpg So much so, that he is now completed! Chaeron
Bit longer than expected due to work commitments, but I've finished the vow! Huzzah! My vow was: I, Chaeron, answer the call of E TENEBRAE LUX and vow to complete from Codex: Chaos Space Marines, IA7: The Siege of Vraks – Part Three and Codex: Chaos Daemons: Daemon Prince with the Mark of Khorne, Armour, Axe of Blind Fury (Gorechild), The Murder Sword (Gorefather) (count-as, using the model of Angron from Forge World); an EctoFiend, a Decimator with twin-butcher cannons, and 2 x Necrosius, for double the plaguey-goodness, of total value 1045 points on or before August 1st. Success will bring eternal glory to Grandfather Nurgle and failure will doom me to bear the Badge of Shame until the year-end. Here are my "pre-" photos of everything I was working on: http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c254/TheNewAgeOutlaw/GW/Necrosius_zps5a123cab.jpg http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c254/TheNewAgeOutlaw/GW/Mauler_zps0288991a.jpg http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c254/TheNewAgeOutlaw/GW/Decimator_zps09184c40.jpg And what I hoped will be the pièce de résistance... http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c254/TheNewAgeOutlaw/GW/Angron_zpsfffd1989.jpg Managed to do this quite quickly: http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c254/TheNewAgeOutlaw/GW/ANGRONWIP3_zpsd2875ae2.jpg http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c254/TheNewAgeOutlaw/GW/ANGRONWIP2_zps5d34c804.jpg http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c254/TheNewAgeOutlaw/GW/AngronWIP_zps20d6239c.jpg And then these two bad boys: http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c254/TheNewAgeOutlaw/GW/NecrosiusF_zps39c88e48.jpg Before smashing out and finishing Angron: Before the last of my pledge: My Decimator and Forge Fiend, one more completed than the other, are being blocked - and I'm about to do the last of the white cover on the Decimator before we start to wash. The Forge needs the flesh and trim doing before I get to that stage - as well as the weapons of choice. Getting there though! http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c254/TheNewAgeOutlaw/GW/DaemonWIP_zpsdf53f61b.jpg Which became: http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c254/TheNewAgeOutlaw/Daemon2WIP_zpsf8e8f44c.jpg With a nice close-up of the Decimator: http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c254/TheNewAgeOutlaw/photo21_zpsee59650f.jpg These have both been washed to within an inch of their lives - Decimator will need a bit more detailing, bringing out some of the more intricate details on the armour - but is on the whole progressing nicely. The Forge needs more flesh work done to both tidy and improve the shade - and some more work done to both head and weapons, which need some more colouring! And then finally: Light sadly washes out a few bits that look too light, so I may just adjust these in future, but glad to have them done! Ectofiend: http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c254/TheNewAgeOutlaw/GW/Forge_zps374b80f7.jpg http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c254/TheNewAgeOutlaw/GW/Forge2_zps47b1e0aa.jpg http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c254/TheNewAgeOutlaw/GW/Forge3_zpsaaada36d.jpg The Decimator: http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c254/TheNewAgeOutlaw/GW/Deci_zpsd56d0bc7.jpg http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c254/TheNewAgeOutlaw/GW/Deci2_zpsc9ca717f.jpg http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c254/TheNewAgeOutlaw/GW/Deci3_zps3ce90d9b.jpg Bad boys together: http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c254/TheNewAgeOutlaw/GW/ForgeDeci_zps9169e756.jpg And I'll just need to figure out a new one now. With my inspiration being Dread Wake. Stealing makes the world go round! Not a problem mate, I cannibalised everyone else's great ideas to get them to that stage - I'd hope that my ideas can offer the same to others too.
