Today in the Hobby I...

Built a Platoon Command Squad, based them and primed them.

I also based a handful of old Inquisition miniatures that I discovered in my bits box, and primed them

I also did a test miniature for a Skitarii army I kind of started over the summer.

It's been a busy day.

Picked away a bit at some wfb greenskins... if I finish this little batch I'll be done with almost all the repairs I can make for the time being and can then tackle putting them away (where does one store a 5k army? Oh shoot... night gobs from 7th ed starter... need to find or make 60 of the small square bases... uuuhhhhgggg!

YITH I Slapped a few fast colours on some test Daemons before I commit to a boxful of them, and did a little more work on my Thousand Sons.

*Sigh*... just pulled the trigger on a Start Collecting Tzeentch Daemons box, like I need more stuff to do!

Yithi Played the first game in a 1500 pt league (single cad no low) i took a demi company of smurfs (fielded as just a cad) up against a farsight list

His list went something like this

Far sight with 8 bodyguards in crisis suits

longstrike

2x5 pathfinders

2x1 crisis suits

riptide

mine was

captain with command squad ( 2 melta, apothecary, banner and champion) in a razorback

3x10 tactical in rhinos

2 attack bikes + mm

3 grav centurions with ml in a drop pod

predator with twin las

Highlights of the game included my captain getting three transports blown apart around him, centurions ravaging the riptide and farsight getting assaulted by 4 tactical marines and held in place for a game turn (there by stopping him roasting my HQ or half of my tactical marines)

game ended with a tau surrender on turn three (or possibly turn four), smurfs 15 pts to the tau's 3

smurf casualties 8 marines, 2 rhinos, razorback and 2 centurions

tau losses 3 crisis suits, longstrike, riptide and over half of the pathfinders

TITH, I reminded myself that, when working on a decal sheet at work, be sure to "Save" and not "Save As", because the Illustrator I'm using at work is two versions newer than the version I'm using at home, and it'd be nice to be able to reopen the file at home to work on it, because if I didn't, the evening I was going to spend working on decals is going to be spent playing World of Tanks :furious:

EDIT: 11:29 pm. Prepping the morning coffee before heading to bed. Remember I work from home 2 days each week... and access my work computer remotely to do it. Wasted night of online gaming that coulda been decal work...

Tith I ordered another box of Vanguard Vets. And some filthy xenos bugs for the Mrs.

Next week in the hobby my wallet will scream when I drop $230 on a Forgeworld order (Raven Guard contemptor, Korvydae, and a butt ton of shoulder pads).

Sometime between now and then in the hobby I will be trying to snag some awesome deals I saw on eBay.

And eventually I will paint about 2500 points of Raven Guard.

TITH I tried to imagine intentionally defiling the returned Primarch model into a version of Corvus Corax. The mental exercise was too exhausting, so I stopped. Much like I do for physical exercise :(

Lol.

Personally I can't see myself making any conversion attempts as I'm convinced every primarch is coming back some how.. eventually... in some form.

Tith took 200 Marines off their old 25mm bases. Started to rebase 20 scouts and cultists . Put together acouple Knights of the Raven . And received a happy birthday greetings from Warseer.

TITH, I've been using spray foam insulation and spackle to make terrain. Now that I've learned how to screw it up properly, the next can of foam will do the trick!
