Now why would I be digging up so much Adepta Sororitas art?

Because reasons.

They are showing their age a little bit, but they still hold up well enough today. That being said, I wouldn't mind seeing some new ones from GW. Preferably in multi-part plastics.

So... moar?

Whether you love or hate the Fantasy Flight 40k games, you gotta admit the best side effect of them is a flood of new 40k art.

This one reminds me of the old b&w Adrian Smith stuff:

Some on here don't care for the anime inspired art, but of the many I came across, I thought this was really good:

Last, but certainly not least, I had to include this one because I cracked up when I saw it:

Yup. I might just have to make a model of that.

Seriously, if you figure out a good way to do this, please share it on here. I've been trying to piece together a conversion I can live with for like two years now and I fail and fail and fail. :(

That would be a hard one to pull off but I think I may have a crack at it as well.

In other news however a recent picture from my weekend con which may tickle a few folks.

I'm still trying to figure out how to go about it and what to use for the base. Also, I'm not sure how the armored boobs and corset would look on an actual figure. It works ok in the drawing, but some things in art just don't translate well to reality. *cough*art scale marines*cough*

at which point the difference between 'female' tda and 'normal' tda blurs, and you could just place normal terminators.

I would personally not go with boop plate on terminators, and try to get the femininity from a different aspect of the model. How to do that... well, I'll leave that to modellers/armour designers, because apart from going unhelmeted, I wouldn't know.

I don't want a "boob plate" per se, but I do want the proportions to be a bit different; slightly more slender maybe (as it is in that picture) than it is on the rank-and-file terminators. (Remember when Thade dubbed the aged veteran marines with Terminator Honours as "rank-and-file"?)

It's more to make her stand out as distinctive than anything; well, that and when I try seating the single bare Sisters plastic head onto a GK Terminator body it looks unforgivably weird.

I'm still contemplating showing some outward impression of breasts on the TDA. I don't believe for a second that they would actually be cups to be filled with lady parts, but merely an outward sign of the sex of the wearer.

As for slimming it down, I'm trying to do that and balance keeping the armor still looking sturdy enough to be TDA. This is still WIP, but I'm trying to reduce the bulk of the lower legs and give the upper legs some amount of curves.

How about using Tartaros armour? I was thinking of using that for a female Inquisitor.

I was thinking scouts, but Novices works much better.

Maybe make them like 1st Edition Imperial Guard  Whiteshields .  They were children raised in the Regiment, and were so anxious to become full fledged members that they were essentially fearless.  Whereas a Guardsman would go, "Whoa, Bloodthirster!  Fall back and call the artillery!", Whiteshields would go, "Whoa, big ugly critter!  We kill it, and we're in for sure.!"

It would certainly fit in with the fluff.:smile.:
