Night Lords 15th Company - In Memoriam...Pg.68

Perhaps more tubing or power cables to go with that souped up flamer? Make it look like it draws power like a Sega Game Gear.

Yeah but I don't want to unbalance the model too much, I may add some slim cables but I don't want it feeling insanely lop-sided.

Maybe put some melting flesh around the Nozzles? Seems like a suitably chaos thing to do with a flamer/melta :tongue.:

That'd be hard to convey I think, plus it'd be mostly black charred carbon residue if anything. I may fiddle around with some trim idk yet, I'll have to see what my hobby tutelary says...

Brief update. Got the metallics and the black done on the Landraider. Just have to do the parchment, skulls, freehand, OSL, weathering on the tracks and highlights... then she's done lol.

Haha, so almost there right?

I do miss the neat little edging around the barrel of the flamer, but other than that, I think I like the multi-melta better. And I always approve of axes.

Good job so far! Look forward to seeing Hashec complete again

Yeah it feels good to use him on the table top in his originally intended incarnation, I didn't take any pics but he MURDERED some wolves this past weekend and torched something like 12 cultists in one round of shooting in another game. Loads of fun this new setup.

Alright people, here's a brief update. Got the idea that it'd be fun to give Gevaudas the option to take a twin-linked Lascannon in addition to his other armament, so I cobbled this together this morning from a friend's old Librarian dreadnought (probably write that bit of salvage action into Gevaudas' short story). Let me know what you guys think:

Looking at the contemptor again (and not on my cellphone), I just noticed the contemptor's head swap.  Did you have to bore that out at all to accommodate the forgeworld dreadnought head or are they interchangeable right out of the gate?

I had to shave down the bottom of the Iron Warrior head, the original is to tall and long to fit in the contemptor head slot, so you have to chop down the back of it and shave down the bottom (I used an emery board to make sure it filed down evenly across the bottom).

Love the pose.

Thanks man, took forever because I was crazy perfectionist about it.

That dread means business

Yes. Yes he does my friend.

Evening everyone, just a quick update on the Word Bearers Landraider. Got the parchment and skulls all painted and managed to ink the word of good old Lorgar all over them. I actually really enjoy doing miniature script on models, so this army has been a treat because of it. Just imagine if my client didn't want them done like the old Index Astartes Word Bearer scheme.... WRITING EVERYWHERE. Anyways, comments and criticism appreciated and encouraged as always.

Evening folks,

Another little update, I just re-did the left tricep on the trophy corpse for Gevaudas, my original sculpt really bugged me because his tricep was down on his forearm... I also green-stuffed my first hand, let me know what you guys think:

Brilliant. Love the muscle fibres youve managed to achieve too.

Also where is that skull from?

Thanks man, the skull is from one of the Vampire Counts sprues, can't remember which, I think the Crypt Ghouls or whatever the hell they're called.

That. Right there. Is a sexy looking Dreadnaught.

Nice work on the sculpting so far, and gratz, the hand looks great! My 2 cents would be that the little finger is a bit short/thin, you can barely see that its there. Not sure if its the photo or not.

Thanks, yeah it looks a little off, but honestly after it's covered in gore and had a nail through it, I think it'll be hard to notice.

Great job on the sculpting (if i have to be nitpicky the biceps are usually bigger than the triceps and the tricips consists of 3 bundles)

Thanks! Also yeah I know it's a rough approximation of human biology, but I don't think my sculpting is to a level where I can do individual muscle groups within a muscle lol.

Another quick update tonight seeing as I'll be out of town all weekend getting some much needed winter climbing in :) I sat back down and knocked out the OSL and lenses on the raiders weapons and hull. Let me know what you think.

Wow man, those muscles really look ace. I knew you were good, but you're quickly taking it to the next level. The hand looks great even with the little pinky, but i agree that with gore no-one will notice.

Also, that use of light on the ribbed part of the lascannons that you use really looks cool. I saw that somewhere else and I must say Im tempted... ;)

That corpse is looking crazy good! Anatomically speaking, it's pretty darn close for something so tiny.

Also loving the OSL on the lascannons. That glowy pale green is perfect to offset that dark, wine red.

Keep it up!
